  1. Keyboard is sold. Thank you to all NONE of you who showed interest and put in offers for it. Next time you're selling your forgettable albums on Bandcamp and gear on here on OCR to beat Ebay fees, I'll be sure to return the favor.
  2. You have an NES Zombies Ate My Neighbors?
  3. I'm selling an Ensoniq TS-12 workstation for $475+shipping. My full post is here: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=981182#post981182 Only thing that doesn't work on it is the power cord, it's a bit wonky but that can be fixed easily. Everything else I've tested on it seems to work well. I was hoping to make some money off of it to pay off some of my medical expenses and have some gift money for Christmas, but I think I may be flexible and could even consider some trade, if you had something I was looking for on it.
  4. Edit: ALL GONE. Missed your chance for the greatest experience of your progressively shortening life!
  5. Truthfully, and ironically, the only real gigs I've ever been able to score were right here in OCR-land. GameDev is where I used to go for that, but that became depressing as it's saturated with composers writing the same topics and getting no responses. I joined a few projects on there but nothing ever came of any of them. There's a ton of forums out there, you just need to go look at the ones that are highly active, throw some seeds and try to get them to sow.
  6. If you're looking for mobile-type games to work on, you should be looking at mobile game development forums to post on. Our forum is largely composed of other composers too - it's sort of like selling refrigerators to Frigidaire. I also advise not to go searching for jobs on the "post and pray" model here. As evidenced by a cursory glance at many game and music forums, new composers tend to think if they just make a post saying they're looking for work, game developers will come to them, and the often complete lack of response is what naturally follows (and Composer Looking For Work is often the more populated thread types you'll see there). Instead, you should be looking for posts by others saying they are building up a game or team or what have you and contact them.
  7. http://healthjournalism.org/blog/2013/01/free-dental-services-try-to-help-the-uninsured/, yeah, truly ridiculous how professionals sometimes remember they're human and don't always need to put a $$$ sign on every action they do. I read the other day about this doctor in North Dakota who took pity on this sick homeless woman and treated her for free out of the kindness of his heart. Now that fucker has single-handedly driven up medical costs around the country! My anti-depressants cost $700 now! That's how this stuff works, right? ... In any case, this makes me want to contribute all the more just to put out the reminder that art is not always about the money... except if its like a Monty Python style march or something, I have no interest in doing something like that. Might as well try to find public domain marches or Creative Commons stuff by then.
  8. In b4 composer bitching about doing free music for exposure. It's a surprisingly hot button subject, as though exposure is somehow completely worthless. I've got some themes and things that aren't being used, but they're more on the retro end of things. What KIND of music are you looking for?
  9. Wait, this is what you wanted that British accent for? Ya never even sent me anything to record. Why, Zoltan, why?
  10. Which... wasn't really that good a thing. She does genuinely earn the criticism she gets (the kind that's legal and acceptable, I mean, not the other kind) and she inspires just as much hatred as she does support for the right thing, instead of just doubling up on support for the right thing like a pundit of her unearned level has gotten to. At this point, I'm thinking I should compile a list of better gaming feminists for people to champion instead of Sarkeesian. She's the Jerry Falwell of feminism and I know there's better out there.
  11. Glad to have accidentally stumbled unto a valid point finally.
  12. To be fair, this topic is now almost 1800 posts in weight, and more than half if it is just plain wank. It'd take someone 4-5 days to read and absorb this topic, and that's an unreasonable amount of brain damage to incur just to have the right to voice something. *shrug*
  13. Have any VST companies leaked out any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals yet? Been looking around the interwebs, but coming up nothing yet. Just curious.
  14. Well, you'd need to contact me first with the specifics. You're a hard man to find online these days (for good reasons, I know, but still) and I won't know what to record or how you want it yet.
  15. I don't know how much interest you'll get here and on chiptune forums, as the musicians are much more hardcore and thumb their nose at such devices (IF YER NOT WRITIN' YER TUNES ON THE ERIGINERL HERDWERE THEN YER NOT A REAL CHERPTURN ERTIST!) but if you put the word out at large, you'll get a good demand for it. That's why gsxcc got famous in the first place - not because it was a stellar program, but because it was and probably is STILL the only program that does that out in existence. There's demand for it, I'd wager my left nut on it.
  16. Well, I don't want anyone to go to hard work over my technical ignorance, I just thought it was something that should be feasible. If not, then my request is unfeasible. Simple as that.
  17. Fair enough on most counts, but it still seems like there should be a reasonable solution in there somewhere as I've been able to pull it off before... on a Game Gear tracker with limited use. Should I be looking for a Sega Genesis MIDI player instead?
  18. Composing from a MIDI keyboard you mean? Better than nothing, but it still makes me wonder why so many trackers have poor or no import .mid function in them. Even the super-old and widely maligned GSXCC had EXCELLENT and easy import MIDI functions to it - why is it so hard to do it elsewhere? Hell, I'd donate some money if I knew I could have an import .mid function to it. It'd be totally worth it from my end.
  19. If mic quality isn't a problem, I can do it. I actually have some vocal acting recording experience, and I dare toot my own horn that I have some skill in it.
  20. My right pelvic leg joint is finally healing, so I might be able to get back into exercise again. Bout fucking time too, I officially have the fattest ass in all of Ocremix. My ass is so big right now that Ken Ham is using it as proof that science is hogwash and he's building a creationist museum on the left cheek. I fart ONCE and Earth as you know it gets blown into the sun! If your work days have been seeming longer lately, it's because my fat ass is tripling the planet's gravitational weight and throwing off its orbit. I got constipated the other day and the only way to relieve it was to pay the Japanese government $2.6 billion dollars to drop a hydrogen bomb into the anal gorge. It's big I tells ya!
  21. Whoa, whoa, whoa. WHICH Americans? Find out the individuals who voted for it before pointing fingers, kthx.
