  1. A couple of my ESPERS tracks got the same thing when I uploaded them on my channel because they were already in the Youtube registrar from the former record label - which was bizarre, but ultimately harmless. I think I chose to accept it and nothing happened with it then.
  2. Specifically speaking, this is the correct reincarnation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lbb_NnAX2A
  3. Well, yeah, when most of the hard work is done for you and you're not on a huge, heavy deadline with lots of money at stake, you have more room to generally be awesome.
  4. I thought Nintendo Power's ratings were ALWAYS generally much higher than most magazines, not just Nintendo fare. In some ways, I actually kinda liked that - it was like they weren't trying to review them as academic authorities on the art of game design, but as regular people giving each game an unbiased shot. That's just me though. Of course, your comment goes against the historical fact that Nintendo in-house games generally turn out better than most anyway.
  5. Man, I still have the issues I bought back in the 90s too. Those are the few things I have left from the era that was before I started turning into a petty creep trolling around Overclocked Remix and its main competitor Pornococked Remix. Whats Nintendo Power like now? The last few issues I have are from 2002 or something like that.
  6. Do you mean this: http://ocremix.org/info/Pilotwings:_Take_Flight, or something like http://encounter.ocremix.org/?
  7. If the website is optional, where does the hosting and the rest of that responsibility lean on?
  8. I thought about that, but then again I already have MOR and Studio Drummer and Battery 3 - probably should be time I learn to use those effectively.
  9. Go into more detail here if you don't mind.
  10. I'm not really talking about adding more judges, just more people to help out elsewhere that's needed so time and energy can be freed up there.
  11. I've been saying this for a while now. To me, it seems like it comes down to numbers. We grow OCR's fanbase more everyday, and more stuff comes in as a result, but as the staff list does not grow proportionately to the amount of content that comes in, this is the problem we face. It also doesn't help that so many staff members are also key members of other major facets of the website. Too much responsibility drains energy. Solution? Take in more volunteer staff members. I myself would volunteer to help out on staff if I thought you would have me (it would also cut down the amount of bullshit I post too ^^). We just have too much to do with not enough people to do it and there are plenty of competent, dedicated members in this community to help out. OCR is lucky to have a community that, at its worst, is STILL miles ahead of every other community in terms of competence and maturity - we just need to open more positions and spread it out more effectively.
  12. How much wiggle room do we have for self-promotion? Go look up some Yuki Kaijura, CUSCO, Susumu Hirasawa, Peter Gabriel, Afro-celt Soundsystem, Deep Forest, E.S. Posthumuous, Pendulum, Krusseldorf... you might find something you like in those.
  13. Congratulations then, Hedgog. Not something I personally expected to see, but I love to be surprised. Good job
  14. Maybe I missed it, but what does the SNES cartridge do? Killer props on a very creative packaging deal all the same.
  15. Not trying to mini-mod, but when did you get posted? You don't have the ocremixer status in there yet. The other reason I'm posting is because I actually REALLY like that logo at the bottom there. Where did you get that done?
  16. I love you Charlemagne. Please let me buy you a drink and let you father my children.
  17. That seems like a surprisingly simple lead too, but I'm kinda struggling to come up with it. There's definitely some sine or triangle in there. Super quick portamento. Sounds like it's got an octave thing going there too. Slightly detuned... Hope some of this is helpful to you.
  18. Well I'm attached to this topic, I may as well obligate my annual question: Does anyone have any suggestions for full-length anime features or short OVA series of space/fantasy action series from 1986-1994? I have a weird sort of spiritual fetish for this particular brand of anime and the story behind why I must seek out as much as I can is pretty difficult to explain, but its a thing I must do before I die. I'm looking for things kinda like Iria, Garaga, the Final Fantasy V OVA series, Toward the Terra, Project A-ko, etc. I have all those, I love them, and I must have more. And I'm not looking for the best of the era (ie, OMGMiyazakiOMG), in fact, the more obscure, cliched and standard, the better. There's just something about the underlying general style of that era that appeals to me and I want it all. Thank you!
  19. It's pretty much the law in anime that you have to like Cowboy Bebop, or you will get a scarlet letter branded on your forehead for all to see. I don't really want Cowboy Bebop anymore - it's so heavy I can only absorb it once every few years, and the general structure of each episode is like 20 minutes of buildup for 90 seconds of action. That always bothered me.
