Don't ever quit your day job. Music for musicians who don't make nearly 6 figures a year doing music becomes more and more of a hobby is what I'm seeing. Day jobs suck, but they're good for you.

I'm going to top last year's bizarre attendance and hire an actor to portray me at MAGfest. And I'm not joking.

Well, I'm always interested to try new things in a musical context but I don't really understand what it is you're asking me to join up on. Without trying to toot my own horn, I'm already quite in touch with my creativity - that's not really something I need to be hypnotized to tap. I also don't know how you would hypnotize me over the internet. Having said that, feel free to write me back the details of whatever this is and we'll see what we can work out. HIM: Hey! no worries...I'm back and forth from Ontario to Maryville so am in the area actually. I understand about being tapped into your creative side...that's actually the whole point of the exercise. Your subconscious mind is a whole different territory and there could be some interesting or surprising results when you can shut down the clutter in the conscious mind. Hoping you'd still give it a shot and we could set something up. ME: Even if my body could do something like that (for various, medically-recognized reasons, I can't really be hypnotized), I still run into the problem of allowing someone I don't know, from another country, to meet me somewhere in my town and render me unconscious as an "experiment" for an unnamed "project" and without any ties or links to anything. Certainly you might see why I would be apprehensive about that. If it's music you're looking for, we can still discuss something, but I don't allow anyone access to my unconscious mind and body like that. That's part of what I'm talking about there. What is my beat doing differently to make it a downtempo breakbeat and not FOTF? I mean, I don't have the kick on all 4 beats there like I should (for now), but I don't really understand the difference apart from that.

So, I'm studying house music as a more serious attempt to get on a decent label of some sort and I've made up a quick WIP to see if I'm grasping it but I'm not sure. http://tindeck.com/listen/tfur I don't really understand the House genre. A lot of the published stuff I listen to seems so simple to do, but I know better than that. I wouldn't have gotten the Mom involved, personally. If the family isn't already directly involved, leave them out of it, I say. I'd think differently if I thought it was a decent enough deterrent, but serial thieves aren't deterred by much. If all these other methods didn't work, why would that? If she didn't know about it the first time, then he'd just have to make new accounts and be sneakier about it.

You can always turn the reverb off.
