  1. Learn what? So far, you're the only person I've had any kind of real difficulty with on this project. Everyone else I've worked with has been almost perfectly reasonable and any difficulty resulting from it was an issue outside of the reasonable level of control - sound qualities, computer problems, not being available online at certain times, etc. You're the only person I've worked with on this project that seems to be difficult just because you feel like it. I won't go as far as to say that's accurate, but I can't think of any other reason you would go to these lengths to be difficult to me. If you have something to teach, teach it. Otherwise, quit wasting my time with these bland, vague potshots. We have a project to finish.
  2. Hello again all. Also effective immediately is my reinstatement as Assistant Director for the project - negating and erasing previous resignation statement from Tuesday. I discussed this with Rozovian and this is good to go. I do owe you an explanation. Tuesday was a really, really not good day for me and it ended in a health emergency that left me unhinged and not convinced I could continue my duties as the AD. The episode itself was more TMI than I'm comfortable sharing in a serious context, but it involved quite a lot of blood in the bathroom and thats all you should know. Since the summer, my family and my wife's family have been plagued with health scares nearly every week - heart problems, breast cancers, lung something-or-other, toothaches, kidney stones, malaria, and shitload of other problems I cannot afford to fix medically, so this was a straw that broke and I panicked and genuinely thought I could no longer resume my duties to the project. As of writing today, my panicking was premature and not nearly as bad as I thought it was late Tuesday night in a fit, so I will be able to resume my duties after all. Sorry to shit on your parade there, Brandon, but it looks like I'm here to stay until completion. If you don't like that, you know what to kiss and where to find it. If you don't like me being "pushy", then don't be an unreasonable, difficult manchild every time I have to get a track update from you. You don't get special treatment just because you want to act like a hotshot. My job for this project is, has and always will be to GET SHIT DONE and that is my everlasting promise to the project. If you say you're going to do a track and provide a musical piece for it, you are issuing a commitment to the project. If you don't provide updates or communication, my job is to get it from you until you either A. complete it or B. quit and we replace you. One way or another, I will get A or B. That's my job. Remember, no one has to be "pushy" if you're doing what it was you said you'd do for us in the first place. There is absolutely no reason to not be reasonable. You can talk to either of us for anything regarding the project without any need for drama and unreasonability. If you want to be hard-to-reach and difficult to deal with, I will be pushy. It's as simple as that. For those of you who were inspired to more action since my unfortunate statement on Tuesday, I'm quite proud to see it. Wish it didn't require me to quit to see it, but let's not worry about that now. Let's use that momentum to get some serious work done on this project. Let's get to work!
  3. EDIT: Removed premature resignation post. Reinstated as Assistant Director until further notice of cataclysmic health statuses either personal or global. Thank you!
  4. Does anyone know where to get those kinds of pork patties at a store? I've tried making my own McRibs, but the only way I can get them are these frozen dinner packages that are already saturated in a different kind of BBQ sauce. I've looked at Wal-Mart, Kroger, Food City, the old Food Lion - I find it really difficult to think you can't just buy plain pork patties, but I haven't found them yet.
  5. You definitely know how to build an audience, no one can argue that.
  6. Ok, so pretty soon I will be working on getting invitations out to a list of people and I will be trying to make headway on getting people to consent to the project. The following people I cannot find and need help contacting for the project: Usabellchan TheDeath That list seems short now but may increase. If you know how to contact these guys, see me IMMEDIATELY. Thank you!
  7. I thought about that, but he doesn't speak English himself, plus the difficulty of getting a translator makes it more hassle than its worth when we can just go by the RSN.
  8. Be patient, you'll get a new trailer with gameplay.
  9. You might want to just save up for a pro-mastering session and put off the release for a little bit. Try these guys out: http://www.diamondiscaudio.com/services/audio/mastering/d. That's $30 per track. They also have a $20 option as well. There is, of course, options here as well. Zircon did wonders for my ESPERS album and he was $30 a track at the time. They don't get much cheaper than him around here, and if they are, my experience is they're usually too busy to bother. If you're really strapped for cash, do a Kickstarter and take pre-orders to help cover the bill, then send out the copies and maybe bonuses to those who paid or paid more for it. Those are my recommendations.
  10. For a game you know very little about, you sure are hating on it pretty hard.
  11. Do you want me to get started on invitations now or after we get the whole tracklist mess sorted out?
  12. I disagree, I actually kinda like the boastful title. It sticks out and exudes energy. It made me interested enough to click on the Youtube link and see what it was. If you can pull that shit off in design and marketing, you've done well for yourself.
  13. The RSN tracklisting is the authority. That is what we're going to be going by from now on. Please refer to it from this point on. In case you missed the download link, here it is: http://snesmusic.org/v2/download.php?spcNow=sd3 Once you have it downloaded, if you can't play the .rsn file, just rename it to .rar and it will open just fine. Rozo, do we need to go through the list and make sure the remixes match the names they're match up with? I'm tempted to want to throw on there a list of youtube links as well to better correct the confusion with a note explaining the title track is wrong. What do you think?
  14. ***dammit. Ok, I think its time to reconfigure the track titles on the first post then so they match. This is getting too damn confusing. Also, Fight or Flight is just about the laziest name for a remix one could think of. I don't recommend it.
  15. Wait, what? No, Sixto's track was Reincarnation. I recognized the source.
  16. Would you prefer they pool these resources into another Sonic game you'll bitch about for 5 years?
  17. No one's editing your work - the point of mastering, beyond reaching the peak of audio quality, is to have each and every track on a project match, as best as possible, in terms of level equalization and volume. We're not going to have some tracks louder or quieter than others or hotter in one EQ than another and forego any tools we can use for a professional output just to appease an "artist". This is a serious project guided towards communal effort and we will use every available tool for that professional output. If there's a problem with the track, as you say, we'll find a way to fix it and get it where it needs to be. No one's tampering with anyone's artistic dignity or whatever, but by the time it goes to mastering, thats pretty much a moot point.
  18. No prob, Bob. You know how to reach us when you get it.
  19. We'll see about that when we get to that stage. And why is that exactly? He needed a title, he likes what I offered, whats the prob, Bob?
  20. I'm not sure just yet what we're going to do. We were going to have them mastered by Usa, one of the original project directors, but now... we can't find him. Anywhere. He hasn't shown up anywhere in months. So, no, I don't think that will really be necessary, but we'll find out once we get there and try to make it the least hassling we possibly can. But no, we're not mastering MP3s. We need the top quality files. MP3s are debatable in quality and while you can't HEAR the differences oftentimes, it's still a degraded quality that just isn't suitable for mastering. Think those brickwall'd fan-posted music videos and lyric videos on Youtube. Yeah. That's what we're hoping to avoid there.
  21. Because we can't master an MP3. Need a title? How about "Progressive Illusionary Ejection Complex".
  22. Piano pieces that sound realistic? Hit up Ghetto Lee Lewis, he's probably the most proficient piano player I know from these boards here. He's EXTREMELY anal about piano performance, but he backs it up pretty good (his piano album back in the summer was gorgeous). He'll probably tell you a lot more about it. Also, quick word, you'll likely find this topic soon in Music Production forum.
