  1. If you cannot make a coconut radio, you are not a professor.
  2. ... Ok, I can't tell if you are serious or not, so I'm just gonna roll my eyes. there ya go.
  3. Hmmm... Errr.... May I ask what you are doing here? I mean, in all politeness and respect.
  4. Never said they wouldn't. I feel that Lara would have lost a life right then and there in the US for not "getting on the ground" fast enough.
  5. How about UK cops, my dear homonym. This happened in the British Isles, and not in the colony.
  6. Is this a pantry? Because I see a lot of pots and kettles.
  7. Hmmm, my list was ignored... my heart is broken... However, I shall live on in hopes of seeing another great video.
  8. Keep in mind that this is all done without salary, so basically, you have to accept the fact that life gets in the way of people judging mixes. Also, I have larry in the trunk of my car. I don't really need him as an hostage, but it's nice.
  9. I think in some cases, sexuality was more important than sex. Had Oedipus only held hands with his mother, I'm pretty sure he would have kept his eyes. Sexuality is an important part of the human experience, more than romance, I think. This is reflected in multiple works of arts. I remember Atwood's Rape Fantasy, which was built around a sexual / power act, and that the discussion of that act in that short story was at the core of the experience. Just as Atwood's Surfacing (yeah, I love Margaret Atwood, sue me), dealt with consequences of sex. The idea is that some works of art basically grew by including sex beyond a simple "and then they made sweet love until the sun rose." Music (and by music I do not include lyrics, since these are textual and can include sex rather easily) is a non-textual art. It is also an auditory experience rather than visual. By these traits, it is rather harder to express anything other than general emotions. However, through connotative content, music can express love, passion, desire, and well, sex. A good example of that is porn movie soundtracks. Even if you remove the visual and the acted parts, the purely aural values of the music expresses sexuality.
  10. While I don't deny the fridge was a stretch, they did show that it was Lead lined, and it was blown away at the first shock wave, and not the second. However, in the second movie, he survived someone having his hand in his chest. That one was a lot less plausible if you know a bit of medicine. Also, as for the plot in general, visitors bringing knowledge is not only a frequent theory, it is a respectable one considering the unique spikes in technological evolution mankind has known. The pre-colombian religions in south america have interestingly common references to celestial beings, chariots made of gold, and other "alien-like" elements. I personally believe that the proof of the existence of aliens may very well rest in our past, rather than in the sky.
  11. What was so different with this one? The pacing? It seemed pretty close. The plot? Mystical artifact with supernatural powers, sounds about right. The action? Fight scenes, kinda gross types of deaths, and traps in a ruin, there again. What was so different between this and all three other movies (which I watched fairly recently thanks to global.)
  12. Indiana Jones is SUPPOSED TO BE A B MOVIE. That's he big idea: A simple relaxing movie. The first ones were made as a parallel to adventure films, this one would have betrayed its origins if it has been any different, and it would have been a bad Indiana Jones movie.
  13. Videogames and violence Videogames as art Videogames as a reflection of culture Videogames in pop culture Videogames as literature Videogames and feminism There ya go, glad to help.
  14. Meh, I doubt I could get in the industry with my training as a writer, other than maybe writing instruction manuals...
  15. Lies. I do not remember you joining this site before last week. You obviously hacked your account for OCR cred...
  16. Do you even know how to enjoy movies anymore? Indy 4, or any Indiana Jones movie are not movies you should think too much about. The trick is to turn off your brain and enjoy the ride. And as that kind of movie, it worked perfectly. If you want to have a debate about the intellectual worth of a movie, go in a small theater where you can eat an apple and read the Serbian subtitles. They never promised anything more than an adventure movie about an dude with a whip. They delivered. The plot wasn't any worse than any other Indiana Jones movie. It was on the same levels as the other, however you saw the first three with the eyes of a kid, and you never actually judged them as harshly as people are judging Indiana Jones 4 here.
  17. The guy should have died in the first 5 minutes of the first movie.
  18. Was I the only one to hear the notes from Encounters at the end, during the big twister ?

  20. So, new rules of the universe according to Eidos: Quebec is in North America only when it uses English. When using French, we are in Europe. The 23rd in Europe is the same date as the 20th in Quebec, if you speak French. And for now, I doubt I will be able to rectify the situation.
  21. It seems that Canada is now part of Europe... Not really sure either, I think I'll wait a bit and try again later, maybe my registration wasnt processed.
  22. Bought it, installed it, registered. Can't log on until the 23rd... WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THAT? If the game is in stores, I should be allowed to play.
  23. So, it is currently installing, can't report on the actual game. It'll be my first MMORPG started in the first week, however from the get go, I hate their control scheme... It seems clunky.... zsqdwc... Although now it seems like it was done for an azerty keyboard... the game, overall, seems interesting. I'll report more news from the front, and I await your comments.
