  1. So is anybody else in on the Elder Scrolls Online Beta? I got my invite for this weekend and have been playing a bit. What are people's thoughts?
  2. Just an update to the general public: This project is NOT dead. We have a team of some kick ass artists, but coordination and people's schedule seem to be making things a bit slower. We are still actively seeking some more musicians to fill out some spots, but as of now we can function with the personnel we have. FYI, to satisfy some of your tastebuds we currently have an octet recording about 75% complete featuring the likes of XPRTNovice, Anthony Lofton, Damashi, Fratto, audiofidelity and myself. It's not a full bigband as originally intended, but it will definitley rock some socks once its out. More to come!
  3. FF7, FF6 in that order. Other greats IMHO are ff4, ff8 and ff5.Some say ff7 has not aged well, but I would argue that its brilliant sound track paired with its gorgeously painted backgrounds and gripping story line make it easy to immerse yourself in every time.
  4. We are waiting on a trumpet part so that others can start tracking.
  5. Hey everyone, I have a piece written for string quartet (not standard...Violin/Viola/Cello/Bass) that would be nice to have recorded by some live performers. Are there any string players here on the forums that would be up the challenge? Here is the piece rendered via VST. It still needs some editing to the writing however. https://soundcloud.com/wiesty/variations-de-chocobo
  6. Theory will take you a long way as it allows you the tools the composer used to create the original. This way you can break the song down to its bare minimum (chords, melody, form, motifs, etc) and build it from scratch again.
  7. Are Steams out of the blue price changes starting to bug anyone else? Seeing games advertised at a price lasting until the end of the sale and buying them only to have them drop another 50% the next day kind of punishes customers for buying now instead of later. That being said, this sale has been insanely good.
  8. Adam has contacted me. We'll have our first trumpet parts in a few days. Get your trombone skillz ready fratto!
  9. Any good classical singer will have pretty good pronunciation of french/latin/german/italian etc.
  10. I'm using a set of akg k171 mii's. love em. Very accurate, great highs, clean lows, no noise leak.
  11. I'm also participating in the beta...I forget what server. lvl 10 Thuauasdf;asdf (aka black mage)
  12. I for one appreciate albums with a more diverse set of genres/styles. It keeps the album (especially long ones like this) interesting for longer, even if it sacrifices the existence of a coherent theme. HOWEVER, Smaller albums work very well with a coherent theme (I.E. your traditional concept album). I wouldn't however want to listen to 80 tracks of the same style on an album of this proportion.
  13. Jay, I have something pretty hip in the works right now and I will definitely be contacting you when it's time for post production
  14. Good! What did you pick up? Ribbons are good for the clarity and accuracy, but you might have a bit of trouble with room noise/overblowing the mic.
  15. Some of the orchestrations in this album have just completely blown my mind. I'm 100% with Joe in the sense that it makes you take a look at your own skills haha. I was working on something the other day until I heard the first track on the album. I then promptly put my computer to sleep and cracked a beer. Nuff said...
  16. This release makes me feel nostalgic, like the olden days of releases like chrono symphonic, voices of the lifestream, ff4, etc....mmmmm.....
  17. I've been playing this game a lot since the winter actually. solo top malphite and jungle nocturne are my two decent builds.
  18. Torrent is downloading now. Looking forward to hearing this!
