I swear I haven't forgotten about this project, I just haven't had time to mock anything up for my own track. Thanks to everyone who sent me updates! I'm not going to set a new WIP date yet, but I will be periodically checking in on people and I will be setting a firm WIP date once I've cleared some stuff off my own schedule. In the meantime, feel free to send me any updates if you have them!

Did anyone notice the Aquatic Ruin and Metropolis cameos in mine? Just wondering, cause they might've been too subtle. Using 4 sources reminded me of the last round of the WCRG, and it was super fun then and now.

Aaand mine's submitted! I've honestly learned so much about production throughout this compo, and I think I've done some of my best work these last few months. Thanks to all the listeners for allowing me to continue on each week and to my awesome opponents each round! Can't wait to hear this week's music!

I can't wait for this week to be over, if only for the fact that I will be done doing Aqua Planet remixes. Seriously this source is such a pain. At least I got to inflict it upon 5 of you guys though.

Ok, the first WIP date has passed, and I've heard 2 WIPS and had 2 other producers confirm their commitment to this project. Still haven't heard from Amphibious or Damashii!! yet, but otherwise everything seems like it's on schedule. I'm setting the next WIP date as May 31st, which gives you guys plenty of time. However, I do expect to hear something from every group. Ideally I'd like to hear some temp vocals on those tracks too. If you've got any questions, shoot them my way!

... hate to do this, but I need to back out. I have a bad habit for committing to new projects or compos and while completely forgetting about all the things I've already committed to. I'm still looking forward to hearing what comes out of this compo, but I'll just be watching from the sidelines.

My update is that I haven't started. I'll let you know when I get something down. I've got a few more pressing projects before I can really focus on this.

So.... this is this basically a karaoke competition? And all I have to do is sing? Awesome, count me in!

I've gotten writer's block every week in this compo. I usually don't get anything remotely good until Thursdays.

My mind is blown on how you can get most of it done so early in the week. No matter how much I work on the mix throughout the week, consistently 85% of my work is done between the hours of 10pm and 3am the Saturday before the deadline. I guess I just need to feel the pressure.

My song is totally channeling some 90's house music, which is definitely one of my favorite genres. Hope you guys like it as much as I do or at least don't hate it.

Aahhh, so that's why it's gotten so quiet in here.

If someone absolutely needs a female "rapper" to be Lorelei, with some good lyric-writing and a lot of coaching I could probably maybe sorta help out. Maybe.
