  1. Hey, everyone. I am composing music for a commercial game by using samples from 16-bit osts (drums/synths). Is that okay? Or am I at the mercy of each music owner? I contacted Tommy Tallarico and he told me no one would probably care at this point. But I just want to be sure I'm not doing anything illicit.
  2. Like I said before, deadlines weren't that strict to begin with. Anyway, it should be up to someone impartial like OCRE or DarkeSword to decide.
  3. Wouldn't hurt having OCRE vote and break the tie.
  4. Oh, come on. Validate my existence. Deadlines were never that strict in these tournaments if you think about it.
  5. i remember you but it was four years ago happy birthday i guess
  6. dj mokram posted some gay shit
  7. It gets removed when the rules change, even if all the judges really, really love it. Then the several years of attrition really starts to get to you. The great game soundtracks you mixed have been neglected by the majority of mixers and listeners, and you realize that no matter how great your music is, you'll never be able to bring a game soundtrack or your mixes into any real spotlight unless you start churning out FF6 (especially Terra's Theme) and FF7 (especially Sephiroth's theme) mixes because people don't actually want mixes--just justification of their views that the shitty game music they listen to is 'artistic' because it is treated as such by other artists. RIP Gecko Yamori.
  8. "I fucked your mom three times" this is what he looks like
  9. Because he is a moderator. This is how OCR moderators talk to its users: trying to pretend they're superior than others.
  10. I've been thinking about it for a while and frankly, it's beginning to scare me out. So... it was stated he died on November, 2007 correct? Ok. But then, if it is the case, why his profile says his last visit was in middle February 2008? Was he still alive? That or someone else logged onto his account (which is up to no good).
  11. Just posting here to tell Txai his song is beyond cool. Loved it. Great way to use what you got. Also, it was sure a biased contest. You're not the winner because voters felt your entry was the coolest, but because a parent voted on you. It was not fair for those who worked hard in their entries. People's Remix Competition is not as good as it used to be. Unfortunately.
  12. Eh... the whole song was a bit tedious to me. That sample around 00:23 in particular was fairly tacky. Gladly it is short, because I couldn't take this any longer.
  13. Man... this game is freaking awesome. A very good example of a platformer with superb high-resolution graphics. Plus the music kicks ass, and their website proves it!
  14. How can this dude create such great entertainment? LOLOLOL!!! MAKE MORE!!!
  15. hmmm...not bad. Not bad at all. Great shit of music work looks really bad, the percussion is poor! Frivolous have some cheap imitation talent. Huh, keep up the BAD work.
  16. Nice, but could use more emotion... a little too empty for my taste, especially for this style...castlevania rocks!!
  17. I usually write "inside" in my comments, but all I have to say about this is "High caliber." Way to go.
  18. hmmmm...ok. Not a lot to add to the other's comments. I love the guitar, the beats and the idea. Wow! Excellent job, guys!
