  1. I made a repository for Super Mario Maker courses; just fill out the form and each entry will be recorded in the spreadsheet. If you think I might have missed something, just post in here. Here are a couple buttons for you guys to use if you want to link to the form on another website. Here are the entries themselves.
  2. It's strange, I've been on a VRC6 kick lately. I've never played any CV games and I thought I'd pick up Akumajou Densetsu just for the VRC6 soundtrack. I'm working on a SMB3 hack and couldn't help but wonder what some of the songs in there would sound like with VRC6... I could imagine maybe the final battle music with Bowser getting a VRC6 refresh. Really though, I'd be down to hear anything VRC6 related; it sounds sooo goood! Thanks for the upload! Good work!
  3. I'm also looking for someone with a spare NA code to give out. But just so you know, if you proposition me for sexual favors, I'm not going to say yes.
  4. Commander Shepard. Both male and female. Gotta be a fan favorite here. Has more than enough for a really decent moveset. Has plenty of popularity for a 3rd party treatment. ME3 was even a launch title, if that matters. The ME universe itself is saturated with items, places, people, etc. that can be dropped into Smash 4. Who's with me?
  5. Derp, my bad. Updated. I don't know how I didn't check Amazon.

  7. If you could look into my eyes when I listen to Shnabubula, you'd see an endless field of boners.
  8. Reminds me a little bit of the Wing Fortress Zone from Sonic 2.
  9. There's one thing I've heard that paints the best picture: "If you could stare into my eyes when I listen to Shnabubula's music, you'd see an endless field of boners."
  10. F-Zero AX was the shit. The arcade I went to had the rolling cockpit with the GameCube memory card slot in it, along with the license card printer. I legitimately played through every aspect of that arcade machine. Badass experience ever for an arcade machine.
  11. I don't think Nintendo producing greater-than-480p screenshots of its games is good enough evidence that a new console with backwards compatibility is the reason for such motives, much less the notion that one is in production based solely on this fact. Take for example, Dolphin; an emulator for Wii/GC games capable of producing 1080p content of commercial games. Dolphin is an unofficial work, composed with resources we readily have available to us. Nintendo, on the other hand, has all the developmental, professional, financial, and legal resources to do seemingly whatever they want with this. I'm not saying a new console isn't in the works, because it's fair to say that there is. I'm just saying that I don't think it's fair to say that the next console has backwards compatibility just because Nintendo has the ability to produce greater-than-480p screenshots for its games. It's fair to say that Nintendo has a new console in the works because of all the other (circumstantial and speculative) evidence suggesting it. The greater-than-480p screenshots of Wii games just seem to coincide with the idea of backwards compatibility with the new system.
  12. This one was loads of fun amongst friends. Wait, that's just gay.
  13. I just hope your luck with The Escapist is better than what the guys who did There Will Be Brawl had... From what I can recall, they had some issues getting their checks (even as required by their contract)...
  14. Now, I've seen quite a few ReMixes for the various Top Gear games for SNES, but how about some N64 love? This game is more obscure than it deserves to be, but it's a great game with some golden notes inside. Since there aren't a lot of tracks in this game, I'm going to cover them all, linking them to YouTube videos. I really like the mixture of the piano and synth in this track. It really does induce the visual that this would play on a showroom floor, and at the same time, it really expresses the nature of the sport. This song is catchy because of the PVC pipe instrument used. Reminds me of the good old Blue Man Group. Later on in the track, it gets into some great percussion and then a melody kicks in using another great instrument. Jungle This one has to be my favorite track in the game. This one has an oriental feel for it. It's got a great beat, and makes me enjoy this track every time I play it. The composers really did do a great job mixing all of the instruments used into a track that makes me look forward to playing a track I despise driving on. Strip Mine This track is pretty good too, because the track itself is a pretty industrial area and the composers did a really great job once again here in making the song fit the surroundings. Great synth work here too. Mountain This track I'm not really too fond of, mostly because you don't play this track so often in the game. It's not as notable as the others, but I don't rule it out as "bad". It does make you realize that the feel of the terrain on this track has shifted to some steep and treacherous roads, but only in certain parts. Coastline Here's some more great PVC/Synth action going on here, with a pretty nice bit of percussion going on as well. Also one of my favorites.
  15. Now, just a few days ago I played this game for the *sole reason* of enjoying the awesome music this game has. I to agree with OP that one if not more ReMixes should be done with this music!
  16. Ah, so it makes its own song entry as an installed song then? Very nice. I have a modded Wii already, so this should be a cinch. Is there an archive to download all the charts/audio at once? I mean, aside from the non-public domain ones like Rammstein?
  17. I'm also using the wii. How does it work? Does it take DLC and just hack the hell out of one of those files?
  18. So, am I the only poor sap that doesn't know how to go about playing these? Is there a torrent somewhere that I might be able to grab them from? I tried one of your mediafire links in one of your chart threads and I got a MIDI file... That alone seems like it's a pain in the ass to get going. By the time I get all the songs injected/compiled or however the methodology goes, it seems like hours would pass by; not to mention the trouble. The scene seems to be pretty large, so I figured I'd ask in here; it seems to be the easiest way to go about getting started with these badass tracks. I'm absolutely stunned that I somehow stumbled upon this. How the hell have I missed this all this time? Kudos to you, Inimitable, and the whole community. Rock On!
  19. This song made my jaw drop. Right around 2:08 made me tremble in fear. It's when I hear songs like this that make me really think about what my surroundings would be like. Songs don't normally hit me like this. There are a few OC ReMixes that do, though. This one I must say has hit me the hardest in terms of vivid imagery that came along with the song. That's why I am proposing the following: I think that the song should play throughout a flash animation (not some crappy amateur animation either) of Mario progressing through a series of dark, gritty areas, finally arriving at the last castle and its conquer. I am not a flash animator, but I am a damn good visualizer, so I can provide a detailed storyboard for the entire track for anyone who is interested in animating it. No words, no SFX, but an animation that is perfectly choreographed with the beats and tunes of the song. You guys might remember the I, Mario thing we had a while back on this board. I think this would be a great tribute to it, even though it only got so far. I even have a fanfiction I am writing that is a spinoff of the "I, Mario" idea of a gritty, real-world take on the Mario universe. This idea really intrigues me. To Random Hero: Let me know if you're interested in allowing this or even if you're willing to help out with this proposal. Anyone else; I'd love to make this a reality, with Random Hero's blessing of course, so let me know if any of you are interested.
  20. It is very simple to resurrect your NES by just bending your pins back in place. It's not that hard, just a small pain. It's much more worth it to do it this way, otherwise you're going through someone else to buy product (which means money) and waiting for it to arrive. All of this isn't necessary. So, just crack it open and bend the pins. After you do this, your NES should work even if you don't push the game down. This benefits you in the way that it lasts much longer than it originally did. When you bend the game down, it bends those pins. Game Genies were also designed in such a manner that because you can't press the game down, it had to put more pressure on the pins to make the connection. So, that's why using them would give you a higher rate of success, but would also wear your NES down much faster. Not to worry though, because this fix will do you for many years to come, even if you have to perform this fix many times. When it actually becomes so weak that it makes no sense to keep doing it (a month between) then *that's* when you need to go buy a 72-pin connector.
  21. Sorry, Didn't mean to be pretentious about it. I'm only saying that it's not shit.
  22. I first was really introduced to the concept of fanfiction way back in 2000, where I joined a ROM-Hacking board that had a facfiction forum in it. I enjoyed it, even though a lot of it was crap. I liked to point out all the little mistakes and nitpick about them. Thoug, I do have to say, it opened up a lot of doors for me, especially after I stumbled upon this place. First, it was stories, then music. I eventually came upon the "I, Mario" thing this community had going for a while. A script came out to go along with it that absolutely stunned me. I was then inspired to write about a realistic dark interpretation of the Mario universe. I came up with my fanfiction that I have now, called Obscure Kingdom. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3322696/1/Obscure_Kingdom I think I did well at the time of writing. However, after writing it and letting it sit for a while, there are some flaws that has presented itself to me by means of the readers. It's still a good read though, and I'm still happy with it. I need to continue on, but every time I get an idea or am inspired, something comes up and I never get to it. Hopefully I can find the time to continue, as I know that it can be one of those "diamonds in the rough" that FF.net hides.
  23. This I gotta see. Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith on the wagon, please. Anyways... Yeah, I'd like to see these: Anybody from Golden Sun (GBA) Beatrix from FFIX (Fat Chance) And anyone from FFVII. *waits for tantrum*
