  1. There's no doubt that this mix is cool and fun to listen to but there's just something about it. I hate leaving largely negative reviews but, what can I say, it's easier to write about our problems than our praises. Anywho, maybe I'm just used to MiXers that crank everything up to the point where clipping and limiting are either apparent or held off by the smallest decibel percentage possible, but this "rearrangement" is too quiet. It's not even that it's all that quiet per se, it just somehow comes off as being far away; like somebody sat my speakers in the other room or something. It's not bad though. I enjoy it. I'm probably just going to turn the master a bit.
  2. A friend of mine told me to delete all my cookies. Just as a heads up, that didn't fix anything either. This sucks, I really like Tha Sauce. Once again, does anyone know of a way to check what your ISP has blocked?
  3. I've tried similar things in the past. I've even googled thasauce and clicked on links to random threads. No pages will load at all. This is such a bummer.
  4. Comcast's Terms of Use says that they reserve the right to block any site they deem offensive but what the hell's so offensive about Tha Sauce? I'm sure most of you have Comcast and it works just fine, right? Does anyone know how to check to see what site's have been blocked by your ISP?
  5. Since I started this thread I've tried loading Tha Sauce on numerous occasions, I've reset my router, I've tried both Firefox (my default browser) and Internet Explorer, I've checked my firewall's settings and have discovered nothing out of the ordinary, I've even tried the simplest of things, ie: restarting my computer and switching to other accounts upon start up. This has been going on for a few weeks now; I've only recently become fed up with it enough to ask other people for assistance.
  6. I only bring Vista into the equation because it's the most recent major change to my computer. I've been using Comcast for about a year now and, considering how many other people use Comcast, I don't think that's the problem either.
  7. Therein lies my problem. I've tried it on a few other people's computers but mine is the only I know of that it won't load on. Does anybody else have Vista that can test it?
  8. Does anybody know what's up with Tha Sauce? It doesn't seem to be working on my computer. I thought it might be because I got Vista a while ago but it worked for first few weeks I got the new OS. Is the site under construction or currently down or am I just being shat on?
  9. Good call. Jack carrying around a bag of Hoody's peanuts would've been quite insulting.
  10. For as much bitching about the movie as there has been, I'm surprised that no one's said anything about (spoilers) Keith Richards being in the film at all and how stupid is role was. I know it was rumored years before the films release, but I think the cameo backfired in Disney's face because nobody in the theater seemed to recognize him given a) how old and decrepit he is and the elaborate costume he had. All in all though, it was an enjoyable film. Definitely the sort you'd go to a theater to see. I'm not going to say that it was great though.
  11. I thought the title sounded familiar. I got this off VGMix about a year ago. It hasn't changed at all since then. Hmmm... "date modified 3/30/06" Well, almost a year. Anywho, really great mix. Love the overall flow; takes you all over the freaking place.
  12. Actually, there are 2 seconds of silence at the beginning of the song so the actual last 2 seconds are getting cut off. I've determined that it's some kind of problem with iTunes because it works just fine in other media players. Thanks anyway
  13. For whatever reason, I can't get the last 2 seconds of this mix. No matter which mirror I use I always end up with 7:17 instead of 7:19. It's kind of really annoying. WTF?
  14. Apparently some people do not enjoy a mix that strays "too far" from the source tune. Some people are also crazy.
  15. That is easily one of the most true/wise things I have ever heard.
  16. Man, I got this mix back when VG 2.0 still existed. How long was this song waiting to be judged? Anywho, this mix is superbly great. I heart the string sample! I really have no complaints what-so-ever.
  17. The raptor screeches are off the hizzy. This mix is one of those ones where you don't care if the sound quality is reminiscent of some guy who held his casette recorder up to a single speaker. The instrumentaion is superbly awesome and the musicality of Mr. Koelsch is above par. My only real gripe is the ten seconds of dead silence at the end. What's up with that?
  18. Holy cow! I didn't even notice at first! Yeah, everything is panned left! What the heck's up with that? Um, it's still cool though.
  19. Yeah, there's totally some Wind Scene from Chrono Trigger thrown in later. It's a bit weird, but it fits. Funny that I say that; this song's all kinds of all over the place. Not that that's a bad thing. It's these sort of ReMixes that keep me from losing interest in the video game mixing genre. Sweet stuff.
  20. Um, this mix is cool. It is so cool... it almost parodies electronic music. The thought that a change of beat or tempo creates a new genre is utterly ridiculous; t'were that true, this song is guilty of genre crossing about six times. Anywho, I'd give this mix an eleven... but then I'd be mistaking this for a different site
  21. I don't know, I hear nothing but choppy riffs when I adjust the volume control to the right speaker only. There's a synthy lead that kinda' flows to the right occasionally, but the lead guitar only comes out the left speaker.
  22. I downloaded this song a long time ago off mazedude's site so, when I first saw it here, I was like, "Man, that's an old one." I hope he submits Homestar's Mystic Quest; it's off the heezy. Anywho, I don't see what the hell this chip tune negativity's all about. Good music is good music and ain't that enough? Figaro Chiptune is way more experimental than See Sixty Funk but, you know, whatever. Honestly, I think there may be a bit of elitism going on around here; submission standards have changed so much since 2000... I mean, I understand bandwidth issues and OC's surprising success but sigh... I guess that's why we have vgmix and Overlooked; because not everyone's good enough for Overclocked. Man, that was a lot of incoherant rambling; just forget I said anything at all. Mazedude rocks.
  23. Now, I don't claim to be a musical prodigy or anything, but why are there two rhythm guitars (one panned left, one right) and the lead is panned all the way to the left? Does that make any sense? Maybe I'm just crazy. Aside from that, I found this mix to be pretty drab. Nothing really stood out to me; just a bunch of "dun duns" and wailing guitars. I enjoy the sources tunes more... but, then again, I think the Lufia music (from the first two games only) is great; even though the second game re-used just about every song. Anywho, decent production; the panning really throws me for a loop though. I like the mix more than I'm making it sound, honest.
  24. Yeah, as far as I know, he is. That would explain why the music is more than just fitting.
  25. I've already given this mix my criticism; this is just an after thought. I don't know if anyone's said anything about this, but does it bother anybody else that the two heavily panned guitars are out of sync? It probably wouldn't bother me so much if they were two different guitars... nevermind. I still really like the mix though.
