  1. This mix is just all around ass kicking goodness. I love the change-up at 3:34 (though it feels a bit too short) it's so danged funk-tastic.
  2. Now I'm not too familiar with the OoT soundtrack but off and on this ReMix sounds very similar to one of the opening themes from FF6. Maybe I'm crazy? Anywho, this is still a great mix and has a very cinema score sort of feel to it that I absolutely love. I can't wait to hear more from Zas.
  3. Am I one of the few who thinks that production quality isn't the only thing that matters? I mean, sure this song sounds great but... c'mon, the vocals are all so damn cheesey and I find it almost grating to listen to. Is that just me? I'm not against vocal ReMixes by any means (I absolutely love Harmony's "Dragon's Song") but I totally put this on the same level as "A Frog, a Sword and a Spoony Bard" (which I find to be one of the worst mixes on the site by the way). I honestly wish I didn't feel this way, I tell you. The song sounds so damn good.
  4. This ReMix is just too badass. There's such excellent use of cutting and panning in here; it's really, really easy to rock out to. This is probably my favorite FF7 mix on this site. Then again there's Mazedude's Space Station of the Ancients...
  5. This ReMix truley is awesome. I love how the song ventures through multiple genres. It even gets trancey! Salzman gets mad props for that alone.
  6. Easier actually. It somehow seemed more complex in my head. I guess I'm just more used to figuring out good old 8 bit and 16 bit tunes.
  7. This remix is just full of uber sweet trancey goodness. Yum! I can't wait to see what chthonic churns out next.
  8. The hardest boss I've ever come across would have to be either Omega Weapon or Shinryu from FF5. I say that only because I fought them once and died horribly... too ashamed to ever face them again. Any strategies?
  9. I don't care what anyone else says (even though no one's said anything bad as of yet), this mix is awesome. It's my new favorite by Darkesword. First of all, it's from SoE so you know from the beginning it's going to be taken from one of the greatest video game scores of all time. What else can I say? I don't know... download this if you haven't already!
  10. It made my head bob to the original song... Is that nerdy? Anywho, freaking awesome mix; second favorite AE tune.
  11. I actually really enjoyed this mix. I enjoy it when not everything is made into 4/4 time(then again, this is a remix site, so I shouldn't expect anything too crazy). Anywho, maybe it's just me, but because this mix wasn't done 16 bit/midi style, it felt like it had a lot more depth. It actually felt more like Shadow's theme. It repeats a little too much though. But, that's fine, cause it rocks.
  12. I've never heard the original... And I can't imagine it being any better than this. This is by far my favorite Darkesword mix yet.
  13. I'm beginning to think that people on this board don't like saying anything bad. I really enjoyed the original song. It was catchy, fun and always reminds me of doing loop-dee-loops at a hundred miles an hour. This mix: took a boring, predictable breakbeat and just looped it for the whole damn song. Also: what's with this distorted bass synth instead of the wailing midi guitar? Ick, by the way. So little care and effort went into this.
  14. This mix is pretty cool. I could've done without all the samples, but, maybe that's just me. Oh and the PM5K sample over the paradiddles:ick...totally doesn't fit. Otherwise: awesome.
  15. What can I say that no else has? Nothing. This song is over the freaking top amazing. In all honesty, this has been my favorite mix on this site for a really long ass time. The original song, which is also super kick ass by the way, is solely responsible for my love of video game music.
  16. Now we all very well why Square of America flopped: SoE was just a ball of crap that spun off the SoM franchise. <ahem>This being said... I still loved playing the game; this is mainly due to the freaking spectacular score this game has. And I believe Anachronism does more than back me up. Check it if you haven't already.
  17. How can Protricity create such freaking great music? And on a consistant basis, no less! MAKE MORE!!!
