I don't think extended console playing is what is causing the hardware failure; I'd only put in about 40 hours of game play in 4 months. Not only that, how about all the hours people put in to Halo live? I blame it on the simple fact that Microsoft was trying to get a jump on the console wars by releasing their product a whole year before anyone else. A bit too premature? Not enough testing, mayhap?

That's one reason I want the Elite as well; I'm sick of unplugging my cable box or my Wii. My PS3 is the only thing taking advantage of HDMI right now. Also: the Elite, to the best of my knowledge, was never intended to be a major release (like the DS Lite, for example). It's more of a "hey check out this nifty thing I got that you don't have" sort of thing. Hence the name.

Whoa, calm down there buddy. I'm not trying to pick a fight here or anything. I play the 360 for the games; which is what a console should be able to do. If it can't do that, then that's fucking retarded. I don't care about the price either (I own a PS3 afterall; which I should add, works perfectly). I'm just saying that I don't want to spend that sort of money on something that hardly last 4 months. I only played 5 games on it. Just kinda' frustrated, you know?

Wow, way to totally judge the NES out of its time. Are you forgetting that it was a "complex piece of machinery" when it came it? My point is: it fucking works after all this time and it doesn't cost $300-475.

I'm beginning to think that every time Microsoft refurbishes a 360 they count it as a sale. As a side note, I would just like to point out that my 21 year old NES still works as well as it did the day I got it (which is about 30% of the time) but still, at least it works.

That justifies an $80 price hike? And I don't stock much faith in rumors.

Why's it called the Elite if there isn't any new hardware? Ooooh, it's black and has HDMI! How fucking exciting.

Some of the older ones are more prone to overheating than others; I wish I had just held out for an Elite.

If the 360 dominates in any genre it is definitely the "I'm a big, muscley guy fighting off aliens with big guns" genre. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The 360 would be cooler if it wasn't so expensive (adapter for this, charger for that, small HDD, 50 bucks for Live, all the downloadables, no built-in HD player, etc etc.) Incidentally, I've only had my premium 360 for 4 months and I'm already starting to get the 3 red light error. WTF?!!! I iz very angry.

There's no way in hell that's a guitar patch. No frickin' way; if it is though, please direct me to the soundfont! Incidentally, this mix as some of the best guitar work I've ever heard in a video game mix. Don't care much for the cheap ass sitar sounding thingie.

I'd love to comment on this song but it won't play on computer for some reason. Windows Media Player says the file has some sort of an MP3 extension; wtf? I also tried iTunes, but iTunes won't even try to load it. Oh well, I'm sure the song's good...

This is actually the first OverClocked mix I ever heard. Obviously, it left quite the impression on me; I'm still frequenting the site 5 years later.

I'm pretty sure I don't want there to be any more Pirates movies, but Mr. Depp said that he'd do as many as he felt had good enough scripts. So, given the writing of At World's End, does that mean Johnny Depp is willing to play Jack Sparrow till is dying day? Lame.

I thought all of Diddy's little "Ow!"s were awesome in the kookiest of ways. Once every 4 years is not enough mixage!

This mix is pretty awesome; I dig AeroZ first posted mix a lot more but this is still fun. Never realized how similar the two songs were until now. Also, AeroZ stuff reminds me more of an old mixer, DUN DUN DUN... AE, more than Mazedude or Shnabubula ("With the Quickness" in particular). But, then again, maybe I'm crazy.

That's funny cause I kinda thought DDR was dead (or that it was on its last leg at least). None of the malls around here have one in their arcades anymore; there were quite a few up until about 2 or 3 years ago.

This is especially awesome news and the song in question, "Until Forever", is flippin' amazing. I'm sure by now plenty of folks have gone and downloaded Beatdrop's albums, especially given the fact that kook has made them audible for free! Sucker!
