  1. So I guess it's a good thing I made this thread Despite my bashing on the PS3 I may actually cave in and at least buy my copy of MGS4... The PStriple will have to wait... I've waited all my life before finally buying any MG/MGS game, I think I can wait for MGS4
  2. Here's what I've gleaned from the store on the description to the collection. Are those 350 VR missions what you were referring to..?
  3. yeah perhaps, then again I was kinda being a dick as I already bought it yesterday when I saw it on amazon I just wanted to post about it in case nobody else heard about it without feelimg like some spamming advertiser; much like how I didn't hear about SH:0 being available for the ps2 last week.
  4. I've noticed during the postings going to the aStore here that there was the Metal Gear Solid: The Essentials. Should I get it..? the price's not too bad, and I've never played a MGS before...
  5. William Gibson's "Neuromancer"'s an oldie but goodie First book I had on the genre back then. It reads similar to that of a good noir film imo and I like noir edit: Turns out they did a rerelease on that book http://www.amazon.com/Neuromancer-William-Gibson/dp/0441012035/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1205939344&sr=8-1 I have no doubts there are better books on the genre right now though...
  6. Gentz Weizer - {GCC}Setzer Gambiani - Schwaltzvald I usually go by those names.
  7. From the little bit I've played, (Brawl had its grip on me lol), I felt very comfortable playing it. Admittingly the graphics reminded me more of a mix between the original Silent Hill and SH2. Understandably it's a conversion instead of a retool/engine redoing, but nonetheless it didn't take away the experience for me. For now, it's truly solid and enjoyable to me
  8. Played Rody a while ago along with a couple of others, man I'm surprised I reached 2nd place that time considering what happened lol. How do I reach clanocr via mirc?
  9. yeah I added you as well some time ago but it kept saying "awaiting for confirmation" under ur code, when I get back home from work I'll check/try to. My hours are a bit late as I work from 7 am to 3:30 PM and I don't even get home till 4:30pm EST on weekdays. eseentially my times are very random However if you have a specific time when you guys are on I can try to work myself around those time and be on to beat ya
  10. So yeah let's help suzumabachi get that Wii
  11. So hey... What's this all about..? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8774481&type=product&id=1204331808063 WHY WAS THIS NOT SPOKEN ABOUT?! IMMA PICKING IT UP TODAY AS I THANKFULLY AVOIDED THE ORIGIN SECTION OF THIS THREAD!!!
  12. I got my Wii by chance as I just walked into my local best buy, which happens to be across the street from my job site, and picked it up as I saw it.
  13. no one's comfirming my registrations? PS if you do see me but in some weird name its probably a relative of mine visiting considering it seems that I'm the only one with a Wii within a 15 mile radius...
  14. I've added myself to the brawl section of the database. 1461 - 5905 - 6619 Add me whenever ya can~! PS Dave I'ce sent ya a PM.
  15. I'm enjoying Meta Knight the more I play. Despite the occasional feeling of being unbalanced with him, he does the job just fine for me; not to mention I like the short yet sweet move of disappearing and then reappearing close to you while cutting ya. Bowser's not bad either along with Wario
  16. What brand were they..? Were they generic, off-the-eshelf sticks or a known variety..? I'd be surprised if they were Kingston mem sticks, they always worked for me...
  17. Soon as I get my code available you can fight me. SSBB's not worth playing if you're not having any fun. Besides if you really want to get better, just play and be imaginative in your offense, no need to prove anything except if u can accept a lose and improve on that.
  18. The gamecube controller's great for me as it works just fine. Also for those having issues playing Brawl, just try a Wii system update and it should be okay to play.
  19. I'm rather amazed with Samus, while generally similar to melee samus, I love how I can practically juggle myself in mid air using her bombs Metaknight's pretty awesome if only I knew how to control his flying right I'll get better eventually, especially since the AI seemed to really been improved
  20. Sometime tonight I'll send ya a pm considering all the info and tips I have on the subject is documented on a pdf file at home...
  21. Got myself the lan adaptor as I do not have wireless internet as well. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8193466&st=Wii+lan+adaptor&lp=5&type=product&cp=1&id=1164157285316
  22. Very reminiscent of TF2 in terms of presentation, however that's where it stops as it does give its own way of gameplay separate of TF2. That said, I'll be enjoying both when BF-Heros comes out along with TF2 already here
  23. I've actually played Superman 64 back in the day when I borrowed it from a family friend. Only got as far as to facing Darkseid in some weird area... never got farther then that. Overall the game it self really did have poor controls, unimaginative scenarios as well as shoddy programming. Could have been great but so much crap killed it... Mind you though I've bought Quest 64 and actually enjoyed it. Spent maybe one or two summer playing that game straight through a couple of times...
  24. Silent Hill 1 & 2 are only related in name and area where the games take place. In fact if you want to follow the stories of the Silent Hill series. Go with Silent Hill 1 then 3; where as three takes place years after SH1 as it ties up some loose ends. Silent Hill 2 & 4 are loosely tied togteher; mainly in reference to a particular serial killer mentioned midway in SH2 though overall both are not tied together as 1 & 3. 4 if only for the novelty as it has its own story to tell. Go for the Fatal Frame series as well if you can along with Siren; also from Team Silent...
  25. QFE From what it sounds FR, unless you seriously played it on the hardest mode and discovered it was not difficult at all... I'll rage until you have as... It's one of the only reasons I would ever consider getting a PS3 among some others... The DMC series have always been enjoyable for its brutal challenges and encouragement in being flamboyant in utilizing (in earlier title's case) Dante's skills/abilities. Practically one of the major reasons that DMC 1 & 3 were and still are fun; if not the only reason. If DMC4 is easier than either mentioned titles, even on the hardest mode, it would be a shame....
