Since your thread had gotten locked down, I'll say this: a lot of the Christian persecution is based on hate and fear. The West is stereotyped as if it's Christian, and they don't want to identify with it. Also, as an authority from China said: "Buddhism came on the backs of elephants; Christianity came riding on a cannonball!" Now, one could perceive that as 'the truth breaking in', but no, a lot of people feel threatened by popular religions, particularly the top three, including members of one out of the three.
