Incredible TvT. Boxer's "checkmate" give me nerd chills.

Playing through the original Half-Life, I was unfortunate enough to encounter the "mad scientists glitch". In a middle-ish part of the game, you encounter three scientists who offer to open a door for you, thereby allowing you to continue. You're supposed to escort them to said door. But, for some reason, their AI sometimes bugs out, causing them to freak out and run scared all around Black Mesa. They become too preoccupied with their sudden, rampant paranoia to open the door for you. As far as I know the only way to get around this is to noclip.

They took out sandvich parties again?? It is sad day.

Even if I wasn't a broke college student, I don't think I'd buy the pack because it gives me a long-term goal to get everything the old-fashioned way. In regards to the shortstop, maybe it's just me but I couldn't hit the broadside of Saxton Hale's massive pecs with it.

The main problem I have is that the hats which affect gameplay, like the Milkman and the Croco-hat thing, cannot be reliably crafted, and finding one of the five randomly is akin to winning the lottery. The only surefire way of obtaining them as it stands now is in fact to purchase them. HOWEVER I have heard that they are going to be patching in recipes to craft these hats, and in that case my previous rage towards Valve has been reduced to a low grumble of mild discontent.

Most of the prices seem reasonable (even if I disagree with the concept of it), but $17.50 for hats which complete sets is fairly ridiculous.

So who else is deeply disappointed by this microtransaction bullcrap. And before you say "Well you can still craft/find everything so it's not a big deal", remember that there's set bonuses now, mostly with no downsides, that can only be obtained by wearing ultra-rare hats. Or by buying them. It remains to be seen whether these item sets will actually be any good, but regardless I expected better of Valve. For shame. Plus, items like the Towering Pillar of Hats lose their mysticism when you're greeted with "TOWER OF HATS BUY NOW ONLY $9.99" every time you pause the game. Actually, fuck that. I don't give a damn about the Towering Pillar of Hats. I never want to see a game whoring itself out every time I hit pause. Full fucking stop. Hoo, boy. Remember the people who were pissed about the exclusive Bill's Hat and later the Sam and Max stuff? They can't be too happy now.

But then, MP2 used the arguably blander design choice of light/dark worlds.

The problem I have is that, regardless of whether it was due to Tychus's help, the Raiders succeed in inflicting a TON of damage to Mengsk's credibility and to the Dominion as a whole. Yet the entire time this is happening, Mengsk has a man on the inside. Why doesn't he ever take advantage of that? Why didn't he order Tychus to turn the Odin on his own men when he had the chance? If he refuses, he dies. If Tychus obeys the order, the Raiders are utterly boned. If not, his sudden death will at the very least cause confusion and allow the Dominion forces to fight back. Maybe Mengsk had too much invested in Tychus to ever actually pull the plug on him. Maybe he thought Tychus was actually the only person who could succeed in killing Kerrigan. Maybe he knew Valerian was going to lure Raynor to Char, and subsequently succeed against all odds in punching a hole in the Zerg defenses to ultimately take out Kerrigan. But again, this brings up the problem of Mengsk somehow knowing that Tychus could not only get the opportunity to kill Kerrigan, but could actually succeed in doing so. Edit: And hell, why didn't Mengsk use the inside information he was getting from Tychus to thwart the Raiders at every turn? With such intelligence on the Dominion's side, how did the Raiders manage to steal the Odin in the first place? I feel like Mengsk has this huge advantage that is never acknowledged.

SPOILERS Wha...? You hear Arcturus giving Tychus his orders at the beginning of the game. And yes, Tychus's entire subplot makes no sense. I was expecting him to sabotage Raynor's entire operation at some point and it just...never happened. There's still some unanswered questions pertaining to the Mobius Foundation and Valerian Mengsk though, so hopefully something will come of that.

"Why are they shaking with their left ha- OOHHHHH" was my thought process

The difference in sales are due to a combination of improvements on FPS for the console in recent years, and the fact that consoles are generally more accessible than the PC. In terms of gameplay, though, PC remains the superior option. Mouse and keyboard is better than dual analog, and dedicated servers with whole communities built around them (the OCR TF2 server being just one example) are infinitely better than online matchmaking. Regardless, though, once developers figured out how to make FPS playable on console, it quickly overtook PC as the dominant platform. It's simply because consoles and cheaper and more accessible than gaming PCs. Platformers, racing games, RPGs, and all the other genres that work well on console have always been dominated by the console market for this very reason. I imagine the same would happen to RTS, if they could figure out how to make it playable on console.

Actually they do That's kind of their defining feature Being trolls and all

You have to block like 20 attacks without landing one of your own to actually get critical finished. How is this game breaking

Soldier, Scout, Demoman and Sniper definitely have higher skill caps than the other classes and that is why they are used in competitive play.

I've been playing Brawl+ for forever and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is disappointed with the lack of combos and generally slower and defensively-oriented style of Brawl, not to mention its terrible balance and stupid shit like tripping. I'll also say that it is absolutely ridiculous that hacking is illegal. If I pony up the money for a Wii and Brawl, it should be well within my rights to do whatever the hell I want with it. -
He basically took the whole anti-climax thing and ran with it. The comic eventually became a never-ending stream of build-up that never pays off. Which is fine, I guess, but not when you do it over and over. itt I admit to having, at one point, liked a sprite comic

^You also wouldn't feel obligated to draw 100 of everything, reducing the tedium by a lot. I adored 8 when I was like thirteen. Haven't been able to finish it on any subsequent playthrough.
