  1. i will probably make a Dub Step for this project If Thats Cool thx
  2. hot damn, batman, that is a lot of reverb. all things considered, all the instruments are coming through pretty clearly, but all that reverb is still kinda overbearing on the mix. gotta agree with the concerns with the piano sequencing, but besides all that, the mixing on this wasn't too far off, imo. on the arrangement side of things, the drums and bassline did get repetitive for me as well, but the sources were well integrated. this could use a little more personalization and a few mixing tweaks, but this one is pretty close for me already. NO(resub)
  3. nice adaptation and interpretation of the sources. I thought the sound was a bit sparse at times, those background ahh's especially are pretty damn weak, but most of the elements in this are gelling really well, and the arrangement is solid, with some cool cameos of other themes, especially that pacman bit, I love the way you integrated it into the main motif, that's awesome. nice work. YES
  4. yeah, I was also a pass on this the first time around, the improvements only make it better. YES
  5. yeah, pretty source, reminds me of anosou's Kaleidoscope stuff. very pretty remix too. I agree that it's a conservative take on the theme, but it comes out of it's shell in the second half. it's well-personalized, well-produced, and the the guitar is a great touch. I could drift away to this.. YES
  6. the low end is definitely kinda muddy and undefined. when the bass, cello and pad are all playing together, it gets really hard to hear them individually. and I gotta agree that the bass is "cheap" sounding and could've been brought forward, but the partwriting there was solid. most of the other stuff sounded pleasant to me, and the violin performance was beautiful. arrangement blended the themes nicely and definitely resembled melody's work, as Emu mentioned. good job. YES
  7. really clean and clear sound, I like this a lot. the fairground elements give it a slightly creepier edge.. cool stuff. YES
  8. not much to add to what everyone has said here, so I'll just leave it at "this track rocks." YES
  9. btw, CONGLATURATION on winning the ISW thing, baller.

  10. okay, so I really haven't listened to this until just now, but damn, this is really a great album. 'Hey, Listen' is probably my new favorite anosou mix... some ridiculous source integration going on in there. also loved 'Thunderstruck', 'Labyrinth of Dance Floors', and Ballad of the Wind Fish (loved the vocal).. really great, exploratory arrangements that do something totally new with the sources. kudos, nice work, and congrats to everyone involved.
  11. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02122/ ? damn, never knew about these dreams come true tracks. these are great.
  12. nice source, journey of silius could definitely use some more love. the sounds are pretty generic sounding, and the reverb/delays on your saw can get a little overbearing and bleed together at times. most of your instruments also seem to be sitting center; try panning or automating the chippy arps, or generally just moving stuff around a little to give it all it's own space. NO
  13. agreed with what's been said by the other J's. production is sounding pretty good, but the arrangement needs to be polished off a bit more. really like that you kept the lead as a pulse wave, but gave it a lot more texture, while changing up the rest of the instrumentation. wouldn't have been surprised to see this score a yes or two, but I gotta ask that you take one more pass at the arrangement. it's really close. NO(resub)
  14. just a reminder to send me that thing, I wanna get started on it as soon as I can.

  15. so many one song are are too much kirby chiptunes
  16. haha, I don't mean to speak for Will, but his solo's are definitely 100% sequenced with a mouse. in about 30 minutes or so. at most.
  17. yeah yeah, this is nice stuff here. samples and synths are pretty tight. great integration of the two sources. mixing isn't without its faults, but is very strong for a first (solo) sub. a little disappointed that you didn't mention how much you ripped off me and anosou's mix of (one of) the same sources in your submission novel though. ok i guess
  18. ahaha. this made me chuckle. vanilla is in fact my first choice of ice cream, but yo vanilla synths can eat it. yee yee.
