  3. I don't play too many video games nowadays, but I would have to say Super Mario Galaxy with 120 stars. Uh... that was this year, right?
  4. is there a software like this for mac users? currently doing some searching but to no avail... edit: nevermind, got one. if anyones curious: http://www.derlien.com/
  5. whoo, first review. beautiful remix. the guitar sounds like it has chrono cross written all over it. love the piano solo at 2:12. wonderful dropout at 2:50. great job!
  6. the slimline psp can also has some cables that allow you to plug it into your television and play with psp as the controller. havent tried it myself, but crisis core probably would have been nice on a bigger screen. also crisis core is great and for an FF fanboy i would highly highly recommend it over the DS remakes of III/IV. also with the psp you get the FFT port-plus that beats the hell out of FFTA2.
  7. i can say all the same things you've said for me. i have watched you grow phenominally as a musician since the old vgmix2 days, and now, hell, we're both overclocked. uber congrats. this mix is hot. build beginning at 2:19 and the big epic chorus that carries through after the build is just awwwesome. 3:19-4:50 is my favorite part, its just so big and powerful and great. again, congrats, and keep it coming brotha
  8. talent is subjective. i could probably only name 5 people on OCR that are, in my opinion, more talented and interesting than ratatat. i dont know if anything i list would be "obscure" enough for you guys... but Cornelius, Chairlift and yes, Ratatat, stand out as obscure in my mind
  9. im a little behind the game, i just now realized that this hadn't happened yet congratulations and best wishes to you both
  10. certainly has a light bubbly hip-hop feel to it. the whole mix seems rather quiet... or maybe it's just me? pretty fun mix. you need to throw down some rhymes over this nice job!
  11. lol at "lets play some bubble bobble" not a fan of bluegrass, and truly wasn't expecting much out of this mix... but i can't deny your skill and especially your range of style. all the vocal stuff is high-larious uhhhhhhhh nice work edit: oh wowwww... thats you, djp? laugh-out-loud
  12. this belongs right next to your ff7 corel mix. head-pumping techno that rocks. great jorb
  13. pretty stuff. love the lowness of the piano. when the pizz strings come in at 1:20ish it really takes off. melodies around 1:50 and 2:20 are rather nice as well. good job
  14. the intro had me prepared for awesome. the flute thing at the beginning is fun, but the horns that come in at :20 sorta kill it for me. the sax makes up for it, even though it only plays for a few seconds. the second time through the sax is totally rockin i can't decide what I think of the breakbeats, but when they come together with the other instruments at 2:15 it rocks for a short time before it ends somewhat abruptly. nice work
  15. i'm not too big on the individual synths but when you put them all together it makes for some nice textures. 2:30-3:00 is the strongest part of the song imo. christmas, wat?
  16. hmm... saw the words chip and trip and both got me excited. this is alright... at 0:26 things begin to sound pretty muddy. by the 1:00 mark it gets a little better but the clarity of your samples is rather average imo... the source is sort of weak and theres just not much to work with... which leaves you with a final product that is rather short and repetitive.
  17. wow guys, thanks for all the love! i wasn't too confident when i submitted it, but it's so fulfilling to know people enjoy my work.
  18. cool soundscape. i like the keyboard sample that's prominent at 2:01. nice filters at 2:50. congratulations on your first ocr!
