  1. Nice Track <3 Is this Sytrus for the Synths and 3xOsc for the Bass? How do you get them to sound so clean? *-* The Solo Synth String Section at the end sounds pretty good alongside with the Swish and the Brassy synth. I Hope to listen to this piece in a finished state... Go on Jewbei *cheers*
  2. Still going on with Ver.0.7: http://remixshare.com/?file=rogmg7r62s Changes: - Changed the Equalizer Settings a bit - more powerful Clap (but in my Opinion, a bit too dominant) - Heavier Kick - Changed The Drumline from 1:10 - Offbeat Synth from 1:34 - Changed Ending chord from the String - added Phaser-Effect to the stuttering-synth Still To Do: - The bassline (... i'm still at it, but i didnt add the Progress to Ver.0.7) - Still searching Samples, Soundfonts, Plugins to change one of the Strings and to mess with the Bassline - Modulation for the Lead-Synths To get my Head free of this Remix for some time i used to do some Vocal Projects (Links in my Signature)... nothing Special, but it really helped to get new ideas
  3. I looked it up for you but i couldnt find the exact instructions.. just comparable keywords like "vocal fry" and "false chords" Edit: Its important to mention that Voice Techniics using the larynx will tire your voice and you're gettin hoarsen very fast.
  4. Its a hard technic i know from my acting workshops. You learn it from harrumphing.. at first it sounds like you want to burb while clearing your throat, but if you got the point you're able to refine the intensity.
  5. Currently im at a point where nothing moves forward. I've tried alot of things but after Rehearsal i had to discard my ideas. The outstanding problem is still the Bassline... i need to research some more to get it to the status i want it to be *waah its frustrating* XD But i will go on till its finished and even if the Price for doing this Remix in perfection is to watch alot of Youtube Tutorials or read everything possible about basslines out in the WWW.
  6. Nice Work! Reminds me of a Mix between Dido's Thank you and these Sad BGM's in Japanese Retro-Movies. Keep it up
  7. I have to confess, that i like this Tune... But somehow I'm missing some decent drumlines. At some parts the tune builds up and your waiting for something that changes and distrubs that overall chillin-feeling. Dont give up on it! I often loose inspiration while doing a Remix with Fruity loops, but thanks to the open community you are able to get some directions to go.
  8. You are my hero! I've watched alot of Youtube Tutorials for the Fruity Scratcher but didnt get any smarter. I know how to use the Plugin with samples and edit the events but i dont get the part to integrate it into the playlist T_T It seems to be the only samplebased Plugin using the Mixer instead of the Sample-bar.
  9. Wohoo.. that WIP woke me up *_* plz keep going <3
  10. Does anyone know a good "Choir-Uhh" and "Violin" Sample, Soundfont or Plugin?
  11. I was on Vacation for the weekend and now back to face some more criticsm. @Gario: still trying out some decent samples, im not satisified with the quality the song has right now. Detecting issues with my Bassheadphone is pretty hard and it helps much to name any of the bad parts. @ocremixfan: For sure i want to minimize the possibility to get a rejection But fine tuning is always done at the end. @Nubioso: For the drum.. i dont have much experience with clipping and the only solution i know is using a higher interpolation at the converting-process (The mp3's right now use Linear interpolation). For the piano.. im currently using 2 different samples. A Grand Piano for the Bridge and an E-Piano for the Rest. The Grand Piano seems fine for now but im trying some different E-Piano samples. The suggestion for velocity and reverb is great <3 Strings... Im using 2 string soundfonts (T_T i would rather use a plugin) a Legato and one Arco String. The Legato String was pretty easy to use, but the Arco String is somehow hard to handle.. lets see if i could squeeze down the attack time of it some more. @glasfen: Thank you But the basic L/R panning is just temporary right now.. lets see if i could get it stronger. And again.. Thanks to everybody for the suggestions! With this Remix alone i've learned alot <3
  12. Just a simple change i've made in the first part: http://remixshare.com/?file=e7pryiubt2 I think the Remix is close to the finish, all thats left is improving the quality and adding something to the transition after the intro. @glasfen: Last Note at the ending a little longer.. Roger that! Thanks to everybody for the amazing Help!!! Without your suggestions i wouldnt have made it this far <3
  13. I still keep on trying some transitions after the intro and went through some Youtube Tutorials, but somehow alot of transitions sound to hard to fit in that place. And im still getting myself into the fruity Scratcher... man this plugin is hard to control >< I want to try a breakscratch like in the intro of the Bust a Groove Intro Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=II7_hF1Ky2Y you can slightly hear that sound at 0:05).
  14. That Sounds very nice and has a good Balanced *_* Yeah it has the 8-bit Shore Sound from Toxic.. XD Rock/Punk are not my Remix Genreso i cant say much to it, but i love it! Keep it up <3
  15. Good Luck for your Sparkman Remix.. I love it!

  16. And Thanks to Gario here's Ver.06: http://remixshare.com/?file=54lrh716d5 That suggestion of yours was amazing <3 Changes: - Changed the part from 2:23 To Do: - Still going on with the basslines - Transition after the intro (currently trying out the fruity scratcher XD) - The Lead-saw sounds out of time at some points in the mid-part T_T
  17. Thats a good idea using the first part again somewhere in the second half... In the Source its a prelude but in my remix its somehow missing out. Lets see how it works... Inspiration Baby! <3 Thanks for the suggestion. And i still need alot of Help for the bassline. Yeah im a noob at this, ive tired alot of basics with off and onbeat but since the Hammering Synth has a dominant beat i have problems getting more dynamics into the basslines T_T Lets get going, i have alot of work to do
  18. Ver.0.5: http://remixshare.com/?file=byxqwgye3k Changes: - some drastic changes on the intro - better bass - changed the synthline in the bridge to a Legato String To Do: - The FX Hit after the intro is just a filler and needs to be changed (still trying out some ideas) - Overwork some timing problems in the Leadvoice - Adding some Highlight Effects
  19. Thank you very much for your criticism, im always longing for more abundance in the arrangement but im afraid that the sample quality drops or some part i want to be in the front gets in the back in return. I'm currently getting myself into Equalizing, panning and velocity. Its hard to implement these parts with free samples and plugins.. but i won't give up. That gives me alot of confidence. <3 The intro is still the most frustrating part and i was on the verge to give up the intro and do something new. But i nearly forgot that the intro is part of the Bridge. Its something that doesnt belong to the original arrangement, something that i added as a part of my personal accent. Lets see if i can get more power into the intro
  20. Not Bad <3 The Whole Piece has a nice Structur. I love the Fill in at 1:00 and the appreggiation at 1:30. The Synths at the beginning sound a bit off beat. Overall your remix sounds pretty raw, but im looking forward of what you are making out of it in the end. Keep it up! *-*
  21. I've called this one Ver.0.4: http://remixshare.com/?file=46aeej8k9d Changes: - Changed the Lead Voice to a Lead XD - Overworked the Lead-Harmonys To Do List: - Change The Bass - Overwork the Intro - Overall Balancing
  22. Hmm.. The drums are way too flat, the whole tune sounds midilike, the E-Guitar and the synth are underdeveloped and i have to agree to the comments before its extremely repetitive. You have to work Hard to make a good remix out of it. Even the Source uses more variation... dont give up. Your just at the start. Dont abide on the source and just make it the way you want it to sound. Btw.. it would be nice to get some infos on what Kind of Samples and Software you are using.
  23. Vocal Edit: http://remixshare.com/?file=my5ti3gwjn Old Instrumental: http://remixshare.com/get.php?file=06n1vxg8sf Here's a rather old piece of a Song i've made. At first it was a pure instrumental without vocals until i found JannyMausi. Her voice fitted nearly perfectly to this song. The only issue was her problems with Harmonys, thats where i tried. We're both no proffessionell vocals but it was alot of fun writing the Lyrics and doing some sampling and equalizing to the voice records. For the Song itselfs i used Fruity Loops 6 and alot of free samples and Soundfonts. For Vocal Recording i used Audacity. Even if some parts are not perfect i'm proud that i made it this far with just Budget Equipment (Headset and Desktop Microfon with a value of max 20 bucks each and my old 1GHZ 512 MB Ram Onboard standart Soundcard PC). I Hope you enjoy it
  24. Wow, this track is really amazing. I love the intro and how you use the synths all over *-*
  25. Its still not ready and im still goin on with changes... http://remixshare.com/?file=5oz2pdryki thats as far as im now and the changes on my mind are changin the main instrument and redoing some harmonys and basslines. The part im most afraid of is the intro, its hard to merge it with the flow of this song T_T
