  1. Though a little bit on the short side, this remix is very enjoyable. Love the percussion. What I really like is the spirit of optimism this track evokes, this atmosphere of departure. Hey-ho, let's go!
  2. As far as I'm concerned, you can be as hard and fast as you want; I'll enjoy it.
  3. Rad stuff. The breakbeat-ish drums add something new to the usual po! smoothness, and it fits well. The only part where it goes overboard IMO is the moment just before 2:00. Love the nylon guitar, as it adds a certain latin element to the mix. Now that I think of it, this remix would fit into a Ridge Racer game, especially RR Type 4, perfectly. Considering that RRT4's soundtrack is one of my all-time favourites, this should say a lot about how good I think this is. Now take the Sagat part and make it into its own mix. Go, po!
  4. What a strange little mix this is. The first few times I listened to it, I thought that it is way too liberal. But before I knew it, I would wake up in the morning, humming the tune to myself. Other than that, the overall smoothness of the song is wonderful, and it's definitely going on my jazzy/chill-out remix playlist. It took some time to grow on me, but now all I can say is "Well done, and thank you".
  5. Here is where it ends is an incredible track; been listening to it on repeat for a long time. Hot damn it's amazing.
  6. Being a sucker for this kind of music, this song is right up my alley. I love the instruments, the laid back atmosphere, and the asian influence it has, as that is something you don't see too often in this kind of remix. My only gripe is that the remix is a quite a bit louder than other remixes, which results in some volume issues when it's played as part of a playlist.
  7. The speedy parts are definitely reminiscent of Pendulum, but I have to say that I like this here way more than the stuff Pendulum has been putting out (somewhat) recently. It gets to the point without wasting 1+ minute on the intro, and the breakdowns are really fun thanks to the quirky source tune. The guitar playing complements the song perfectly, though I wish there would be more of the awesome that is the guitar playing after 4:20. Nice work; a song going straight into your ear and not leaving it for quite a while. I hope to hear more from you guys in the future.
  8. The strings really give this a sort of 90s Bruckheimer/Simpson action movie feeling, especially around 2:00. Very atmospheric piece that would fit perfectly for some dark and dangerous dungeon in an adventure game/RPG. Nice use of the choir sample, too.
  9. When I read the write-up and djp talked about an 80s vibe, I was expecting some wonderfully cheesy synths. To be honest, when I realized that there were none, I was a little bit disappointed. In other words, this remix surprised me, and after a few listens, I have to say in a very positive way. The wonderfully monotonous 80s beat in the background, the guitar shredding, and the breakdowns. Excellent. Furthermore, the end really gives this song some kind of 80s-dystopian-movie feeling. To sum it up, no cheesy synths here; instead, you get atmospheric, classy ones. Well done.
  10. This. Also, the part between 2:35 and 3:00 is insane and awesome. Insanely awesome. Awesomely insane. All of it. And more.
  11. Markedly different from what AnSo usually delivers, but great nonetheless. Very intriguing percussion and drumwork. Hope you'll tackle even more different styles in the future, AnSo.
  12. Just go ahead and post all the songs from the album. Every single one deserves that IMO.
  13. First off, nice intro. I like the voice samples used in the beginning of the song. Yes, it's cheesy, but it's also fun. However, I'm not really fond of the "Do a barrel roll" used throughout the mix, simply because I don't like how the "barrel roll" part of it sounds. Other than that, there's no real issues here. Nice work.
  14. If this song were a person, you'd call it bubbly. Nice, upbeat remix. Can't say I like the vocals in it, though. They are extremely annoying the first time they come around (when they're really exposed), and they don't do much for me afterwards either.
  15. This song definitely has a late 80s/early 90s anime soundtrack feel to it, maybe with the exception of the slightly darker part starting around 2:00 and the guitar. Uplifting, cute arrangement. Nice work.
  16. The Retronauts podcasts have been (almost) all about the Mega Drive this month. Check 'em out if you have some time.
  17. Yeah, SnappleMan's I could be banned soon is fucking rad. If you haven't listened to it yet, check the links suzumebachi posted.
  18. Groovy and funky right from the start. Great soloing. Diggin' the breakdown/bells from 1:26 onwards. OCR needs more songs like this one. Nice work.
  19. Ditto. I really like the strings and the piano. My favourite part is probably the breakdown starting around 3:20.
  20. When I read prog rock, I think of Jethro Tull and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. I'd be down for a remix which sounds like their music.
  21. So you're going by the name overgoat now; interesting. Downloaded the whole votepack as per your recommendation. I like how "Palin" is immediately followed by "porno".
  22. Oh hey, new Overcoat musics. Been some time, eh? Diggin' the Darth-Vader-breathing-sound or whatever that is.
  23. Yeah, I can't really enjoy (most of) this song simply because I'm so tired of the source tune. However, the original parts are quite awesome. Digging the violin, and the sax is pure bliss.
  24. The strings really give this remix a movie-score-esque feeling.
