  1. So, what do we have here...oh, just another CT ReMix. That was what I was thinking when I saw it first. But then I actually listened to it. It starts very nice, reminding me a little of the Adams Family or the Vampire castle in Grandia 1. So I was ready for a nice good-mood ReMix, when the change at 1:24 came. It became darker, harder, but I could still hear some instruments from the first part. Then, at 1:55, it almost became industrial. And just as I thought I'm in for some heavy stuff... ...the sudden speed change at 2:35 came. O.M.G. I'm a sucker for fast music, and this definitely got me completely by surprise. I was blown away. In the end, from 3:32 on, it returns to the beginning, therefore making a nice circle and bringing the mix to a good end. Great work. Really, really good stuff.
  2. Great ReMix. The intro has a lot of power, and the guitars sound simply fantastic. One of the best Rock ReMixes ever. And I don't know why, but it reminds me somehow of the Castlevania 2 - Bloody Hell Mix.
  3. Thanks for the link. After listening to both versions, I can say that the first version is much more of a ReMix for me, since I really can identify the videogame origin of this song. But as a song, I like the second version, i.e. the one you posted here, better. P.S.: OMG, an extended version of G-Storm. This is like...sex for my ears. And I've been humming that DnB Song the whole day, JoeCam-vocals ftw.
  4. As a ReMix, I find it a little too independet and not close enough to the original song. As a song itself, it is great. I'd love to hear it on my home stereo, with the subwoofer booming, but the headphones and the notebook will have to do for now.
  5. Nice work, very old-skool. My favorite part is from 2:00 to 2:15, but the end of the song is a little abrupt.
  6. Heh, so I'm not the only one who was thinking about Linkin Park... When I heard the song for the first time, it was far too emo for me, but after listening to it a few times more, it became better and better, up to the point where it was quite catchy. And yes, the vocals aren't top notch, but so what? I still enjoyed it (after some start-up problems).
  7. When I listened to the song for the first time, I immediately liked the beginning. But when the electric part at 2:00 started, it really freaked me out; I was very disappointed. But after I listened to the ReMix a few more times, I actually found the electric part to be the best one! It's so passionate, so sad, and so touching, it's simply great. And although the sample at the end doesn't fit into the ReMix very well, I think that it is a nice way to pay tribute to the game. Great work, definitely one of the best songs on OCR. (And Kudos to LAOS, I didn't hear the laughter until I read about it in his post)
  8. Dan's the man! That being said, this ReMix is really nice and soothing. Very nice for chillin', just the perfect thing to listen to before you shut down your computer and go to sleep. And yes, we need more Street Fighter (whatever) ReMixes.
  9. I've had this ReMix for years now, but it is still one of my favorites, I'd say definitely Top 3. It's just an unbelievably good Trance song, and the end with the voice and the slowly fading music is simply great.
  10. I admit I've been a Nintendo-Fanboy back in the days, so I don't really know the original. But I still enjoyed this mix, especially the slower (1:57) and melodic parts (4:04) as well as when it picks up some speed (3:01). Awfulness at its best.
  11. Unbelievable, definetely one of the most interesting ReMixes I've heard in a while. And it's awesome Rap/Hip-Hop, too. Great work, guys, even the f-bombs were thrown at the right places (Happy Happy Town "What the fuck?" It's all blue).
  12. Wonderful orchestral stuff. If I didn't know that this was a ReMix, I would think that it is taken from a RPG soundtrack; it reminds me a bit of the first two Suikoden. That being said, I like the violin poppin' in shortly at appr. 2:00 and the end with the very low sound.
  13. Being a sucker for the music of Super Metroid, I really looked forward to hear this song. And it didn't disappoint me the least. I think that you did a great job here, and the voice of HAL just adds this certain kick to it... It's just like some of the earlier posts said, we need more ReMixes like that one.
  14. I love this ReMix! It reminds me of the very chilly and smooth tracks of Ridge Racer Type 4, one of my favorite Chill-Out games. When the song starts, and you just hear the piano, you don't expect too much, but then at 1:03, the beats start to come. And when the melody of the Makoto stage kicks in at 1:56, the feeling is just perfect. And then the more chilly part from 2:19 on...and the faster one starting at 2:42... Just great.
  15. The only complaint I have is the lenght; I think the ReMix is a little too long and therefore repetitive. But now the positive aspects: like someone wrote earlier, the flute (for example from 1:13 on) reminds a bit of 3rd Strike, and these memories are always welcome (why the hell haven't I brought my 3rd Strike OST with me?!?). My favorite parts are the fast ones starting at 1:46 respectively 3:45 and the slower one beginning at 3:13. Really good work.
  16. I loved this ReMix from the beginning, because it picks up speed so early. But still, there are some slower parts which nicely build some tension, before it is released in another outbreak of speed. And then the brass baseline...it makes me tapping my feet all the time. Great work!!!
  17. This is one brilliant metal ReMix. The start is just wonderful; I really like the part from 0:43 to 0:52 with the sick noises and the scream. After 2:20, when it becomes slow, I somehow remindes me of some good Hans Zimmer stuff, because it builds such a tension, which is released in the part from 3:46 on, when it gets really fast. Wondeful ReMix, please more of that kind.
  18. I really enjoyed that mix, although I've never been a fan of Descent. The ReMix somehow reminds of old 60's or 70's Science-Fiction-series-music, with a little bit Jean Michel Jarre in it.
  19. I really love piano stuff, and this mix started very promising. But then, it lost speed and got very very very relaxed, just too relaxed. Nonetheless, nice stuff, though not what I like to hear over and over again. But a candidate for the Chill-out playlist.
  20. I never played Doom, and I probably never will, because it just doesn't interest me. But this ReMix is really great. I like pianos a lot, because they can add so much to the atmosphere, and this track _has_ some atmosphere, oh yes. My favorite part is when the music slowly fades out, but then suddenly starts again (at 3:11).
  21. Great mix; the male choir went right into my ear. But to be honest, this doesn't really remind me of Greece. When I listen to it, the pictures that I have in my head are from Arabia, way back in the past (especially after 3:06). I can see a caravan of camels, are some lonely prince on his horse almost flying through the desert to save his kingdom/rescue the princess/get some beer at the next gas station. Not very MegaMan-ish at all, but one of my favorite mixes right now.
