  1. Great stuff. I like how the themes were arranged, and the way the mix picks up speed and energy in the second half is wonderful. Especially digging the section from 4:17 on. Very powerful ending starting at 5:42. My only gripe is that the section starting at 4:47 is much, much too short. I'd have liked to hear more of that.
  2. Simple, yet fun tune. The channel entering the scene at 0:19 comes in a little too abrupt, IMO.
  3. The voice sample at 0:40 is what really adds to the oldskool feeling of this mix, having been used in e.g. the Jesus on Es demo. Love the snyth entering at 1:11, but I find the way it is used a little strange, the delay (dunno whether that's what you call it) just somewhat rubs me the wrong way.
  4. Good, straight unts. Really diggin' the breakdowns.
  5. The general funkiness and energy, together with the voice samples, makes this sound like something out of Jet Set Radio. A 16-Bit version of Jet Set Radio, that is, seeing as how the remix sounds very 16-Bit-era-esque to me. Well done; I really enjoyed this one.
  6. Hey, hey you, lyric-hater, how about some scat, you little twat? Seriously, a remix of this song without the lyrics would be pointless. About the remix itself: the arrangement is nice, but the first part (up until it picks up at 1:52) is a little too slow/dull for me. And the vocals are often hard to understand; I wish they were clearer, so I could appreciate the lyrics more.
  7. Quirky, funky, Leisure Suit Larry. This is a remix which stays true to the spirit of the source material and the game itself, and I really like that. Add to that the wonderful lead synth and the hilarious voice sample, and you got yourself a winner. Good work, AnSo.
  8. You know what I really, really hate about Joshua Morse & company remixes? Whenever one of them is posted, its awesomeness overshadows everything else on the front page. In other words, great work. I really dig the style your songs have (the older remixes here, your recent album Hybridism etc), and this is right up my alley. Thank you.
  9. Nice intro; it really conveys that certain Metroid feeling. Epicniss follows from 0:28 on, very cinematic. Good use of the choir sample, and again, epicness kicking in at 1:30. You definitely got the soundtrack-feeling you wanted to achieve right. The transition into the next part around 2:10 isn't really good, though. Not as smooth as it should have been, but fortunately, the remix returns to its epicness shortly thereafter. I love the music from the Metroid series, and you did some good things with it. Diggin' it. However, I'd like to see you do a stand-alone remix, i.e. not a medley, in the future. Since that would get rid off most transition-related problems, I'm sure that you could pull off something even better than this.
  10. As has been said before, this is a very energetic mix, but the transitions are lacking; too abrupt, IMO. Love the part from 2:23 on, as it reminds me of one of the tracks from the very first GTA. Moreover, I really like the third part. Again, the transition could've been handled better, but come on, surf-guitar music on OCR? Gotta love that.
  11. I really love the source tunes used, so I was expecting a lot from the mix, and I wasn't let down. The arrangement of the tracks is good, as are your vocals, but what really makes this mix special to me is the announcer. This gives the ReMix a very unique feel and is simply a brilliant idea. The only gripe I have is that your voice is drowned a little in the part from 1:36 on; it should be standing out more. Great ideas, great work.
  12. Overall, I like this remix, but I think that the soundscape is a little too cluttered at times. As was said before, there's too much going on in the foreground/center of attention at the same time, and this can make it a little hard to listen to this song (repeatedly). Furthermore, more prominent role for the metal pipes, please. Btw, they drop out a little too sudden for my taste.
  13. I, too, am one of the people who think that the ending is somewhat strange; the piano solo part drags on a little too long IMO. I really like the marimbas, but I wish the left-right panning you use when they come in the second time (at ~3:39) would be a little more imaginative, i.e. varying things up a bit instead of using the same left-right change
  14. The song wastes no time and starts energetic right from the beginning, which is something I like. What really makes me appreciate this one is the quite skilful use of chiptunes. They fit in seamlessly, my favourite part being the one from 2:01 on. Nice work.
  15. A Joshua Morse album? I was sold the moment I read that. And I haven't been disappointed. Amazing stuff.
  16. Yeah, your voice sounds kinda muffled, as if you had a cold. Compared to the rather clear vocals of the original song, this isn't exactly an improvement. And I concur on the whiny part; at little less whine in your voice'd be nice. Furthermore, to me, the mix really kinda drags on. Speed it up a bit, or make it more interesting by using more instruments.
  17. I agree to what was said about the song's structure; it doesn't seem like a medley at all, since the transitions were done so incredibly well. Personally, I favour the second part of the ReMix, as it's more upbeat, especially after the breakdown. The little speed-up at 2:02 was a nice touch, too.
  18. Most horrible loading times EVER.
  19. Just in case someone hasn't seen it yet: one of the newcomers, Crimson Viper
  20. Fun lyrics, and I like the left-right panning you're using for the vocals. However, I find the song to be too long. Less would have been more IMO.
  21. Heh, this is really nice. The drum-part starting at 2:00 kicks ass. But I have to agree that this is rather lacking in the low-end department. And the arrangement could really use some more source material.
  22. The usual, wonderful high-energy stuff by Beatdrop we have come to know and love. Good work.
  23. About this シビレまくり: I think it is a compound of 痺れる and 捲る. 痺れる usually means "to become numb", but another meaning is "to be fascinated/enchanted", and 捲る is used as a verb-suffix to express that you're doing something excessively. So if you combine this, you get something like "get in a state of total bliss" or "to be blown away".
  24. The intro is a little long; the beat could've come in about 10 to 15 seconds earlier IMO. It's a very nice beat, though. Again, rather spacey synths. Very interesting. The sound coming in at 2:45 (how the hell do you call this?) is great. You should've maybe used it as the last thing in the outro, i.e. added one repition after the beat ends.
  25. Very nice right-left panning you got here. Definitely spacey, thanks to the synth entering at 1:07. Has some 60s/70s SciFi feeling to it. The "beat" comes in fairly late, but I like how you use it as an outro. Nice.
