  1. Okay, so maybe it could've gotten more variation, but at least there is some extra icing on the cake i.e. you've got this single tune that prevails throughout, but you still have other cool sounds that build and build to this complex mixtutre of stuff at the end and it still keeps its composure and the main tune is never lost, which is good. The beginning is fun, it gets you into the mood quickly at least.
  2. ^ Ditto. The flute solo was what made me love this remix, so creative, and it takes the already amazing tamber of the remix to an even more exciting level. Perfect for dancing! Need I say more?!
  3. How do I explain this? This remix is like a pair of shoes that fit perfectly, not too tight, not too loose, comfortable, and stylish. I mean, this remix just makes all the ocarina songs fit together in one delux track perfectly with a great amount of variety in the general atmosphere throughout from a majestic symphonic Song of Time to this suspense built up to the Bolero of Fire part. Variety, utilizing many different base tunes in one remix, and best of all, it just goes together like the green duds on Link!
  4. This is definitely material for the next Smash Bros! I'm not generally into trances and rave stuff cuz I find they are a bit repetitive, but I definitely beg to differ with this one. It offers enough motifs/variations (whatever the word) for a main tune, and that's what keeps its appeal throughout. Awesome, bLiNd!
  5. Don't remember much of the music from Street Fighter, but right off the bat, you can feel how this remix maintains that street-fighter vibe, yet adding a Brazilian flare that fits perfectly with it. This is perfect to just randomly put on at a party. Then everybody, gamers and non-gamers alike, will groove along with their improvized kung fu moves and then you've got someone else bustin' out doing capoeira/break dancing, i.e. just plain fun! and will never cease to be.
  6. This is a must-listen-to for every Zelda fan. I mean, I don't care who wrote it, it's amazing. I can never get enough of these original lyrics. And they're just plain random and funny! I think this remix will go down in history too!
  7. This is one of my favorite low-key remixes. It's a perfect jazz remix, it's mellow, yet it's got definition to it, like a tune you can easily catch and enjoy. And the motifs derived from the original tune fit perfectly well one after the other. However, I do have one concern. This remix has not been played at any coffee shops, and it so should be. Actually, it deserves some serious stage time at a jazz club. I mean, I got bored of jazz after a while, but this got me back into it. Love it, Joshua!
  8. First you got that awesome guitar work, like that of a solitary warrior. After that, you have this small moment of silence and then before you know it, it's as if the clouds opened up their passage to the sunlight and you feel an immediate rush of strenth go through you. In short, it's a heartwarming remix.
  9. I've had this remix for a while, but it never gets old. It's that undying suspense that keeps its hold on you but still, it's perfect music for kicking back, relaxing, and letting your imagination soar. When you get that variety of feeling when listening to a remix, you know it's gotta be great.
  10. Can someone please call the New York Philharmonic?! Somehow, you get a perfect picture any sight you can imagine at the sea, whether it be a valiant royal fleet or the uber-cute cel-shaded Link all alone in the blue. All sections of the orchestra fit together perfectly, it's amazing! Just like the symphonies of the classical greats!
  11. This one is just plain fun. Love that slow-down and speed-up part around 2:50. Somehow, everything just falls perfectly together. It really gives me a picture of a day at the amusement park. Just letting the wind take your hair as you ride up and down the roller coaster or simply walking and talking with your buddies. Good for a sunny day.
  12. You have to admit this is creative. I could definitely use more of these original lyrics. Even better, it works in Gerudo Valley! Love how you replaced that Latin beat with some good rock. In terms of the vocals, just keep working at it, it can only get better! i.e. keep these coming!
  13. I get reflective when I listen to this one, and when a remix or any song gets me reflective, then it's totally won my heart. It's truly beautiful from beginning to end, definitely enough to put me in tears. I always loved the Cosmo Canyon theme, but Reuben, you opened up another side of it, actually many different sides: not only re-defining the beauty, but opening the haunting and foreboding side of it as well. You have talent, Reuben, but I don't think you need me to tell you that!
  14. I completely agree ^. Small Two of Pieces is a truly beautiful song, my favorite (drastic understatement), and I can't stop singing it myself either. So this remix is awesome cuz it adds a different touch of that same beauty to the song. What else can I say? You've made a masterpiece, Alexander.
  15. Personally, I think it's cool! Once again, you've got that perfect mix of that haunting chant in Latin with a beat. It may be just plain strange to some of you, but to take a musical leap like that deserves priase and appreciation. Good work, Trenthian.
  16. Foreboding, haunting, catchy (drastic understatement), PERFECT! You set up a perfect atmosphere for this, mp. You got that perfect mix of the modern hip-hop beat and that darkness and contemplation of FFVII. You'd definitely own the dance floor with this! What else can I say? I'm once again lost for adequate words...w/e...you know what I mean...
  17. Gotta love it! Those improvisations give it that extra authentic jazzy flare that just gets it swingin'! Imagine this: you're in a schmancy nightclub, spring of 1927, fancy dresses and flapper bob hair dancing freely Chicago style to this amazing (drastic understatement) remix! Now what can top that?
  18. It's genius! ^I second that! I saw the animation first and then I fell in love instantly, then I finally realized that I could download it off OC Remix. Now I know every word, lol and sing it freely. Ppl should add original lyrics to game songs more often, like "Falling Back" by Darangen. But ya, I can't get enough of it! Keep these coming!
  19. This is another one of those remixes that I loved without knowing squat about the game (though I should kick myself up and play Chrono Trigger). I love how it starts sort of small from a traditional song to this amazing rocking melody. Love that guitar. I just wanna dance to it: elaborate moves, jump, spin, waving a sword around. Very well structured, with a clear exposition, development (best part), back to where it started and just sort of fades. It's not a new effect, but you can never go wrong with it. Definitely one of the best of yours I've heard, Ailsean.
  20. ROCK ON!!! The minute I put it on, I get this immediate rush. I don't care what planet you're from, you gotta love every minute of it. Perfect for every occasion: at a party, alone, or even better, driving down the highway rocking out to this blaring from the speakers!!! It's just plain fun! CarboHydroM, keep it coming! I dunno what else to say about this. Amazing, just absolutely amazing.
  21. Once I got into this, I felt it. It was unbelievable. I admit to getting a bit emotional while listening to this. In this remix, there's this unexplained beauty in different dimensions from the breezy sound at the beginning to the hard guitar at the end. No matter what, the beauty persists. Too bad no DJ at a school dance plays OC Remixes, cuz this would definitely be a perfect slow dance song I applaud as well with standing ovation!
  22. I love it when a remix explores such a wide variety of sounds and instruments. Not only that, it works! It adds those innovative quirks (for lack of a better term) that would not otherwise be presented without the guts to explore new musical boundaries. There's no stopping you now, chthonic! Keep it up!
  23. What I love about this is that you don't have to know anything about FFX to love this remix. I downloaded it a long time ago without knowing anything about the FFs and I fell in love with the remix instantly. There is something cleansing about it. Any non-gamer who has listend to this has told me how beautiful it is. I love the improvisation with the piano. Definitely makes my day! Good work, Orkybash!
  24. I love it. First of all, I thought it was just another remix and then I actually sat down, concentrated on listening to it and I was bobbing my head uncontrollably. I feel like I'm standing atop a cliff with the wind blowing in my face, picks me up when I'm down, now that's what I call a good remix, and talent!
