  1. Oh really whatever fits, I like them all pretty much anyway. Mammoth, Mandrill, Armadillo, Octopus, Eagle.
  2. If I may, I'd change my selection and have Flame Mammoth first because I ordered my 1-5 by their written lenght and not by choice because it looked better on the forum lol . .. ...
  3. I'd rather a Goden Eye album. But I guess you could come up with some kind of dubstep with fire shots for MW
  4. I dunno if you're playing with me here but those are still static at the moment and unedited Now that it's tracked, the "other fun" will begin soon hehe
  5. Hey thanks man, I use a GT-10 for the pre-amp simulation and record with Reason 6.5 in which I apply effects like delays/reverbs, EQ/filters once tracked with this audio interface. That's where we are. Next step will be to "ReWire" into Reaper which means it sends the audio from Reason (while it's still ON) to, well.. Reaper, to tune a real mix using my ears (first) and visual analysis tools. I use nothing fancy really and I would gladly sell my GT-10 and Reason 6 to get a H&K Coreblade and throw a microphone in front of it instead. One day... I mix using these speakers and these headphones. On this tune, I used this guitar.
  6. If you got a place left I'd give this a shot Mega Man X - Storm Eagle Mega Man X - Spark Mandrill Mega Man X - Launch Octopus Mega Man X - Flame Mammoth Mega Man X - Armored Armadillo
  7. Yeah well, got inspired by someone talking about a second Maverick Rising in the album's comments and did this pretty quickly. It is not mixed but everything is tracked. I actually did not even check the volumes so it's straight like how it sounded when tracking lol. Hope you like it. W.I.P LINK
  8. Here what I do for a guitar solo but it may apply to a lead synth. Take your BPM and do this: 60 000 divided by the BPM = 1/4th 40 000 divided by the BPM = 1/8th 3 750 divided by the BPM = 1/64th Those 3 equations will give you the correct miliseconds to use with the delays below. You place 3 delays, pan the original track center and put the 1/4th delay center + volume around 60%. Place 1/8th left and 1/64th right and their volumes should be around 50% (*Not absolute values... just a good starting point) For instance, the highest pitched guitar in my MMX w.i.p use this technique: Flame Mammooth w.i.p If you feel adventurous you could add some grit to a delay, have a light flanger on another one and maybe pitch-shift the other. Hope this contributes.
  9. If you want to hear his newest stuff, there is it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWtbovBT418&feature=plcp
  10. Tip-ring-sleeve didn't solve the hum in my monitors but gave an additional 6dB I'm glad the hum is not really noticeable until I put my ear next to the tweeter
  11. For 6-700$ as you said, I would tell you to get a pair of KRK RP6 and a pair of Audio Technica M50. This way you'd get best of both worlds but you'd still have some bucks left to get these Jamstands.
  12. Hey I know I could rent that Ebtech HumX from a local shop where they sell and rent stuff like speakers for small events. It was like 10$ for a few days and he would credit me the 10 bucks on the full purchase, you might as well look for such a shop. They fucking sold it 80$ tho.. I kept my hum .
  13. Lol same here With vertical + multitrack view it's great. You can really focus on the composition, harmonies and stuff.
  14. Fuck freewares and use Reaper. You can use it without limitation and you'll buy it eventually (only 60$).
  15. Audacity is the worst piece of audio software of all time
  16. Two points: Audacity is beyond crap and people should read the forum/click search.
  17. Audacity lol. But yeah.. read around, 20 000 people asked the same question already.
