    Didn't listen or whatever but I've seen your "60Hz hp". I'd lower that to 30 then tame the kick around 50Hz.

    I'd say the tape playback but if it's the same on CDs well; It could be tuning... Maybe they tuned to 442hz ? I tuned to 432hz for some acoustic tunes resulting in 1/3 of a tone lower.

    I think Melodyne can do that. It's not free tho For the mixing tips, well the ressources are endless on the net. Zircon made a guide here, and it's all very well explained.

    Turn off software monitoring; turn on direct monitoring if you soundcard allows it. Or raise your buffer a little ?

    Here's a little tune I've tried to "humazine" to sound like the real tune. I don't have a good sample for the sax so I tired my best to humanize it but there's something wrong. What I did; velocities, offsets (not quantized), automations (volumes/control) but yeah, more tips on these would be welcome. The Simpsons Theme

    I was told that the port of the VSTs to the Rack Extension format is done in no time, so a develloper won't have to re-code everything to get it working. That'll be appealing to them. I want an impulse loader.
