  1. oh man i love the minimal stuff. klavierwerke is my favourite james blake ep. also i dunno if i would be so quick to sell him short on the technicality, the way he manipulates his samples (esp the vocals) is just...i dont eve nknow. i mean even his more "traditional" stuff (the bells sketch is my fave example), there's a lot going on there. he's such a fresh voice, the way i think of it is like...if burial was r&b influenced dubstep, james blake is dubstep influenced r&b. i just come away from his shit like man, this is 21st century soul music.
  2. new james blake is dope bhaugblhaglbuh listne 2 it
  3. wiz khalifa - never been cant think of any other examples atm. probably will become a more popular trend in the coming years this next generation of hip hop artists pretty clearly draw inspiration from vgm sounds

  5. a little ambient tune :] \ http://snd.sc/dHov3F
  6. sylenth is my utility synth, for quickly throwing together basic sounds. absynth for sounds w/ a little more personality. and i've just started getting into massive for basses and heavier electro stuff

  8. even if it plays in browser you should be able to file save as
  9. lol if you are just uploading the songs themselves then no you cannot do that. just because other people havent been caught or had action taken against them yet doesnt mean it's ok. otherwise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use
  10. man i dont know how you did that. im assuming the "samples" were made specifically for this mix (?), but if i'd heard this outside the context of ocr i would never have guessed. it's got that aesthetic down perfect. just the amount of thought that was put into the sound of each sample, like each part was taken from a different record. absolutely nailed that rza sound. not that it's just some style/genre exercise. aside from the wu-tang influence it's got a lot of personality, esp with the lyrics. yeah. my new favourite remix.
  11. helll yyeah tthis is awesome. stickerbrush symphony definitely translates to dnb well (i imagine most of dkc2 would). great job man
  12. ohhhh noooo i thought we had until midnight tonight aaaaaa ):
  13. this in conjunction with "OverClocked ReMix" in the album artist tag works best imo. i also tag site projects that way so OCR stuff gets organized in its own folder, as opposed to being scattered around the compilations folder.
  14. i like tonehammer a lot. i dont know if they have the exact instruments you mentioned, but they do have a lot of really neat stuff.
  15. i'm not sure this is right. when you pay for a video game, at most you are entitled to the music (and all other content) in the context it's presented in. the same goes for film. you wouldn't say that since you purchased a dvd that you own all the props used in a film. it's hard to feel sympathy for the video game companies in this situation though, even though they are entirely within their rights blahblahblah. it's not as if people like silvagunner are taking soundtrack revenue away from them when most of the music he had posted were from soundtracks that were either long out of print or not available commercially in the first place.
  16. the wallpaper is very nice. i like that it isnt covered with logos or whatever and just lets the artwork speak for itself (:
