  1. Haha, that wouldn't be a reason for me to be disinterested in it. I really liked Phantom Hourglass, so it looks like I'm gonna be enjoying this as well.
  2. Very happy about the storage solution. Also, really excited for the new Puch-Out!! after seeing the latest trailer.
  3. Downloaded Lit the other day...started out fun, but into the later levels the more annoying aspects of it gets. Sadly, it's also as you progress through the game that the design takes on unique and interesting qualities. On the last level now, and I know exactly what to do, but given the control limitations and just how perfect it requires you to be it's just frustrating. It was just so close to being a good game too! I really just wanna quit, but I'm so close to beating the damn thing I feel compelled to finish it now! EDIT: Beat it, and now I'm wondering why. I know it wasn't particularly story-driven, but it's nice when a game has, you know, an ending. That wasn't at all satisfying.
  4. Can't say as I agree, personally. How long was any MGS game? Seems like an ideal play length for an action game to me.
  5. Pretty good metascore so far (86 with 16 reviews), so I'll be excited to play it when I get some spare time for it.
  6. Picked this up Monday, along with Noby Noby Boy, and I've gotta say it's just great. Haven't played games much as of late, but I had only heard good things of this so had to give it a shot. The $10 price tag seemed a little high at first, but after playing the first few levels I gotta say I don't regret it. It's just relaxing to play, and as you progress it feels rewarding IMO. Too bad I don't have the same positivity for Noby Noby Boy (camera control just ruins the...odd experience IMO). Btw, is PS3 thread dead now or what? Searched and it didn't come up.
  7. Agreed. There's nothing particularly special with the arrangements themselves, but it's the spectacle which makes it worthwhile for me.
  8. I went to the show this weekend in Seattle in a group of 9 people. It was full of awesome. I think we were all yelling "BOTTOM ROW!" when the middle-aged woman went on-stage to play Space Invaders. They also had as one of the prizes to the guy who beat their challenge on Guitar Hero on stage a cd courtesy of OCReMix, which was particularly cool. I think the only way it could have been better is if they played some Mega Man tunes, or Portal's "Still Alive." Anybody else here go?
  9. Best of luck, man. Vivi22, if you're looking to lean out pretty fast and still have energy for the WODs try eating a couple weeks strict paleo-zone. That combined with hitting the WODs hard are gonna do the trick pretty quick. When I'm eating at least zone (which is pretty much always, aside from my occasional cheat meal with the lady), I definitely have more energy for the metcons. I dunno...if you're down 6 lbs and that's not just water weight, maybe you already are (that was about how much I dropped when I started paleo-zone).
  10. Really enjoyable album, put together by a great community
  11. Hell yes for Crossfit. Nothing like working at truly high intensity, and once your done dropping to the ground until everything stopped spinning. I love that as you get fitter, you get better numbers but the WODs just get more awful
  12. Just got Netflix recently, specifically because of the update, and I gotta say I love being able to stream stuff straight to the 360...works like a charm. If the 360 had a bluray drive, I'd have no conceivable reason to turn on my PS3 again till either getting LittleBigPlanet or playing through MGS4 again .
  13. It's "rye-den," no matter how they may have said it in Mortal Kombat . Man, I'm enjoying this game more this time around than the first time I had played it...I think I've had further exposure to the genre since then, so I can appreciate the battle system and whatnot that much more.
  14. Just picked it up! Gonna play a whole lot of it over the long weekend! Both CT and SSF2THDR today...so awesome!
  15. w00t, downloaded this from XBLA just as I was leaving for work this morning...glad it's a short day, so I can get back early to play it!
  16. Haha, I doubt anybody seriously thinks this won't sell well, despite the nay-sayers.
  17. Finally preordered yesterday. Can't wait for a chance to play CT again!
  18. Bought this for the plane ride to England tomorrow. Looking forward to it .
  19. I believe it. It's almost counter-intuitive when that sorta thing happens, but I think actually it's pretty common. A similar thing happened to me lately too. Friday I did a WOD that involved high-rep 225lb deadlifts (I'm about 155lb) for the first time since an injury to the lower back, and my next WOD on Sunday involved high-rep back extensions. Monday rolls around, and my posterior chain is so sore it hurts to get in and out of my car, but still decided to go through with another WOD with high-rep 225lb deadlifts. By the time I finished, caught my breath, and got my heartrate back down I noticed it felt a ton better. DrumUltima, congrats on your run times and resolve man. As a suggestion, you may want to seriously consider looking into POSE method running, to avoid that sort of injury. Funny thing with running is it's not usually thought of to have a technique to it, but because of that the probability of injury related to the activity is relatively high.
  20. World of Goo is frickin' awesome. Have a friend staying with me for a few days, and gave him a whirl. He's not a real big gamer, but clearly enjoyed the hell out of the 4 or so stages he played around on last night, and opted to play each several times to explore different methods of building the structure. Anybody check out either of the Art Style games yet? They look intruiging...just like quick, simple games. Not many review out yet, so if anybody has had some hands-on experience with them I'd really like to hear your thoughts on them.
  21. World of Goo is pretty awesome. Been through chapters 1 and 2 so far, and there's two stages in ch. 2 that I haven't been able to figure out yet. Good fun so far.
  22. Damn, I have to clean out the Wii system memory today now . Looking forward to Secret of Mana, but World of Goo moreso. Good thing I'm just about done with Mario RPG.
  23. Whoever thought it'd be a good idea to maufacture pullup bars with a soft wrapping needs to be slapped in the back of the head. Two blood blisters and a torn callous since grip cannot be maintained during high intensity workouts which include high rep pullups on that sort of bar. Gonna be all false-grip pullups for the next week, until the hand heals.
