  1. That was freaking awesome. A guitar album I think you would like is the first solo album by former Testament guitarist James Murphy. I can't remember the name of it but you can look it up if you're interested. Great work. I love you Sonic metal medley too man!
  2. That Nippon Manju song is great. OK. I'm having an idea that I'm slowly becoming committed to. I've already done a game-inspired death metal album. I think to make something really masterful, I should double-down on what I know. So I'm thinking Valkyrie Profile Viking Death Metal. Original songs with "references" to Valkyrie Profile songs. That means it's mostly original but there might be a bit of a Sakuraba melody in there somewhere. Kind of like how Dragon Force is original but plays a Double Dragon guitar solo note-for-note in the middle of the song. I would basically be making another full-length album before going "on tour" to MAGfest. What do you think? Valkyrie Profile does drama better than almost any game out there. 20 or so people die in very dramatic circumstances. Some of them have love affairs involved, it's amazing. And actually, I have sitting on my computer not one, not two, but THREE songs that I wrote based on three of the scenarios in the game over 15 years ago. I never recorded them or anything. I wouldn't use those though. I'd go all new. There's just so much inspiration to be integrated into some Viking Death Metal.
  3. Those are cool videos you guys posted. Thanks. I didn't expect that kind of answer. Interesting. . . OK. I got it! ACTUAL Baby Metal. That is, Japanese children's song death metalized! It's genius! MWAAA HAA HAA HAAAAAAAA!
  4. I have a personal goal to play a live show at MAGfest. I live in Japan so this is not going to be easy. But before that, I just want to know what people go to MAGfest concerts to hear? There are already millions of game music cover bands playing there, right? Do people just want more covers of the classics? Do they want bands covering less popular games? Do they want original music? I have lots of ideas for cool concerts I'd like to throw and now I finally want to create a set and go there and do it?
  5. Same here. Star Ocean is one of my favorite series. It's likely to be the best entry in the series by the looks of it.
  6. Thank you! I was having some kind of problem accessing the text box because the video was taking up the whole thing. I could get the mouse pointer to turn into a text cursor, and I assumed that meant that I was hovering over the textbox, but clicking in there and pressing delete didn't do anything. But trying to paste things somehow made it work. I owe you one, Timaeus!
  7. There is a giant YouTube video in my signature and I'd like to get rid of it. I went to the signature tab in my account settings and can't figure out how to delete that thing. In fact, I can't even figure out how to type any text. There are buttons at the bottom for inserting more media but I don't see anyway to remove things from my sig. Thanks for the help, yeah. Sincerely, The Legendary Zoltan
  8. I'm happy for PC gamers, indifferent about mobile appers, and sad for myself because it's neither on PS4 nor FF12 HD. I'm so bitter about Square-Enix these days. I'm looking forward to playing Dragon Warrior 2 for the first time on an emulator more than I am FF15. That's a bummer situation.
  9. My Quest To grind until my body is level 99. What does level 99 look like? This. That's right! I'm going for the Fabio body! Don't try to stop me! Anyway, I'm working on my own workout. I'd rather do an hour of aerobics than 30 minutes of running. Whenever my mix CD gets to Torn Apart by Xaleph, I'm a completely different person. I can boxercise the hell out of anyone for any amount of time to that song. And I'm FAT! 3 Things I Want In Exercise Music 1. A tempo good for stepping to. Torn Apart (http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01630) and Triforce Majeure (http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01184) are about the right tempo. 2. Aggression. Torn Apart sounds kinda brutal. Most Xaleph remixes do and that puts me in such a mood. I really liked his FF7 remixes as well. 3. A constant techno beat. What I mean is how there's a bass drum hit on every beat. Not a requirement but it helps. Anyone have any suggestions workout music within OCR or without? Thanks!
  10. Oh, well. Thanks for checking it out. The one about Bioshock is interesting because he worked graveyard shift in a prison while he played that game. I was compelled by his story even though I had no interest in Bioshock.
  11. Introducing My ALL TIME Favorite YouTuber! Nobody knows about this guy, but I can't get enough of him. His name is Justin M. Bailey. He just talks about his favorite games and why they're so great. Sounds boring? Sounds like everybody else? No no no. By comparison this guy is the ONLY person who actually has something interesting to say about games. He compares games to books that he has read and there are a lot of mind-blowing connections and powerful messages. Just Gimme da Link! Here ya go: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmK-lo9feKEyU6B2A-rZwd2nOr1G12Ay0 More About Justin M. Bailey His series is completely over already. He's not trying to become a professional YouTuber or anything like that. He's a novelist. His entire series is called JMB on Video Games and contained within that series is another smaller series called JMB on RPGs where he compares FFVII, Chrono Trigger, and Earthbound to real life and makes an argument that RPGs can teach you how to actually get what you want out of life. I love it. I recommend the entire series, but for starters check that link above and just choose the video about the game you like most and see if you like it. I hope you do, and I hope you all share it and the guy's videos go from 600 views to 1,000,000 views. Just so you know, I do not know him personally and he did not ask me to write this.
  12. I platted All three Souls games thus far, (I have to boast about here, otherwise I wasted my time) and I really did not like Dark Souls II. I suppose you would then ask me why I bothered to platinmize it if I didn't like the game, and the answer to that would be "Because I am stupid." Anyway, REAL TALK! The biggest problem with Dark Souls II in my opinion was that the environments and bosses slightly lacked creativity and completely lacked beauty. The trailer for Dark Souls III makes everything look amazing again. I wasn't planning on buying it at first, but I want it now.
  13. Hmm. Nomura didn't know he was the director until that trailer came out. Hahaha!
  14. Here's a link that has nothing to do with the Legend of Zelda. http://lusipurr.com/2015/06/08/tsm-episode-327-shamiibo/ I've been listening to this podcast for a few years and I'd really like to see it grow because it really is a product of quality. The link is above so you can check it out, but here is why I think it worthy of your time. -The format is unique. It starts with a quick poetry reading. I like that. -Their predictions are very accurate. One that comes to mind is they predicted the rebranding of Versus XIII to FFXV months before it happened. -They aren't fanboys of anything and they aren't politically correct. They say whatever they feel. -Occasionally, as in the linked episode, they have on this crazy guy that turns the show into chaotic hilarity. http://lusipurr.com/2015/06/08/tsm-episode-327-shamiibo/
  15. They should have a ride where you get crushed by a giant moon. Haha. I'm actually very curious what they'll come up with.
  16. ...To a metal remix of Brave Fencer Musashi music. It's good. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFsBr7ESzPM
  17. Here's a sweet FF Tactics death metal song I wrote. I made a nice video for it, too. Brandon Strader sang it for me and Zircon mixed it. How nice of them!
  18. The one thing Star Ocean 4 did better than all the rest is having several planets to explore instead of just 2. I hope they do that again.
  19. Yeah. I thought that was interesting as heck. What an odd subtitle. I like it because it's unique and dramatic. But I too wonder how it will be a theme in the game. The lead programmer Yoshiharu Gotanda says, "There are multiple meanings behind the subtitle for this game. It’ll make sense by the end once you play the game, I think.” I'm so excited!
  20. http://gematsu.com/2015/04/star-ocean-5-announced-for-ps4-ps3 Best day ever. It will be much better than FFXV. OH SNAP! Any fans of the series here?
  21. What's your situation, bro? Are you busy? Let me know.

  22. OCR project. It's in the recruit and collaborate thread. Thank you. I still gotta practice the vocals and record them.

  23. Hey, man. I got a remix almost done for the PS1 20th anniversary album. Can I get you to mix it for me in exchange for getting your name added to the remix? The bulk of my future songs for the time being will be quite similar to that last song you did for me, Rise and Grind. So you can probably set up a bunch of presets and mix stuff with hardly any effort. Hahaha!

  24. Oops. Sorry. I removed the link. I'm going to take a completely wild guess and say that MTL stands for my, that's lovely. Is that right. Don't worry, the rap will totally ruin it.
