  1. I use foobar for tagging. It (and any other program with more advanced tag editing) lets you directly modify the tags without having to choose from a predefined list.
  2. Have you tried it in a different computer?
  3. Try turning off every single thing in the surrounding area except for the TV and NES. Audio cables can sometimes pick up hum from electrical equipment, and that could be what's happening here. If that doesn't work, hit the TV good and hard. And if that doesn't work, I'm out of suggestions.
  4. I've seen polls once or twice, but they've been for important, stickied stuff. Probably only mods are able to set them up.
  5. Hmm ... seems that the English version is the most literal translation. We're back where we started, I guess.
  6. In a desperate attempt to glean more Ness info, I have taken the liberty of translating the first sentence of the most recent update from the Spanish and German versions of the page. English: There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar. Spanish: Surely you remember Ness, a person who has appeared in previous editions of Smash Bros. German (I know almost no German, BTW, so this may not be too accurate): In the Smash Bros. series so far, a character named Ness appears [has appeared?]. Both the Spanish and German seem to avoid any reference at all to the present time in their mentions of Ness. The point, as near as I can tell, is that Sakurai is telling us nothing at all about whether Ness is currently in Smash. Probably the English phrase "up until now" is a translation quirk and not meant to imply that he's no longer there. Can anyone translate the Japanese?
  7. He's made it pretty clear that assist trophies and playables don't overlap. I think he's teasing us either because there's another (non- Gray Fox) Metal Gear playable in addition to Snake or because the rest of the playable roster is just so mind-blowing that we'll forget all about Gray Fox.
  8. Psycho Mantis or Ocelot would be kind of cool. EDIT: Discussion about Gray Fox probably went like this: DEV 1: Gray Fox is cool. He needs to be playable. DEV 2: He has wonderful potential for special moves. DEV 3: He has a sword. We don't need another sword character. DEV 1: ... DEV 2: Assist trophy!
  9. I really, really hope he says "Hurt me more!!!"
  10. For the first couple seconds, I thought for sure it was either an arrangement of the Morrowind theme or the Pirates of the Caribbean theme, but then it stopped really resembling either. No idea where this came from. EDIT: Confirmed.
  11. When exactly did Sakurai say that, anyway?
  12. These are the only similarities I can hear. Also, the YouTube commenters are going on and on about Chrono Trigger sampling (" Luv dis track. It crazy he got dis beat from a video game call Chrono Trigger. Like I said I luv it"), and YouTube commenters are always wrong.
  13. A theory: There are unlockables that require getting X number of points in a particular game mode. Since the bonus points made it difficult to predict how many points you'd actually get from any given fight, they got rid of them to focus, as you said, on playing ability.
  14. I'm using a 40GB Toshiba Gigabeat that I got on eBay for $60. I've got Rockbox running on it instead of the original firmware, so I can play ogg and FLAC files (downside: Rockbox isn't all that intuitive to use). The battery's in the process of dying, though, so I'll need to crack it open and perform battery-replacement surgery before too long.
  15. It looks like every other mediocre platformer I've ever seen, but with more glitchiness. Gotta love that "fight" with the monkey thing. And there must have been a first Cheetah Men game for there to be a Cheetah Men II. That's kind of scary.
  16. ?? C-flat major has an f-flat in it.
  17. This page claims that the CD is unrelated to Sonic Arcade. (Although I have no idea if that's actually true or not, given that the person who wrote the article seems to be doing a lot of guesswork about the game.)
  18. So does this mean that OCR now accepts ReMixes made from the Mii Channel and Shop Channel music?
  19. I'm going to make a mix of the Donkey Kong hammer music using choice FL presets so you can start tomorrow off right.
