  1. Well, it's titled "Essence of Lime", so I gave it the Lime color . Edit: Beaten by Kyle
  2. A lot of times, people just don't know of the projects. I made this thread with the goal of hopefully helping at least some director, if not more, if they've been a bit negligent in recruiting. Also, this thread provides a one stop place for people to easily find projects if they're interested in joining one - I say that's a win/win. But again, it's ultimately up to the project directors to follow through on their projects.
  3. Not necessarily - some people are not necessarily interested in a particular game's soundtrack, but may love another's, and there's no easy way to screen on a wide-scale who those people are. I'm just trying to get all the info together in a visible thread to perhaps help with the recruitment of mixers - after that, it's up to the project directors to ensure things follow through.
  4. Stevo Hijack: Listed here is information regarding all albums/projects actively recruiting members. It includes albums/projects that have attained OCR-official status, as well as those which have not. Please keep in mind the guidelines for project acceptance by OCR, found here: Project Guidelines And please, folks. Don't hesitate to submit for official OCR approval once you feel like you've gotten your project to a point where you can demonstrate the quality of the album and can basically assure completion of the project. Theory of N Hijack: I'll be keeping this list up to date from here on out. This is a lot of information to keep in order so if you see something inaccurate, I apologize. Feel free to post in this thread or shoot me a pm and we'll get things worked out! 5. I don't know about 'content', but virt is just a really busy guy - even his presence online is pretty infrequent.
  6. Don't forget a friend of mine is also in for the 4-pack.
  7. Ok, this is pretty cool - nothing like any approach to Death Mountain I've heard. Songs using the chiptune style of production amongst other elements on OCR is almost nil, so this is a welcome addition, especially with how well it is integrated with the other instruments here. It somehow keeps a sense of mystique you get from the original, and adds a certain level of urgency you don't see in the original. Love it!
  8. Bumping it up again - welcome Jovette and TheKrow to the project!
  9. Also one of my friends is getting in on the 4-pack as well, so I'll have 1 copy I guess if Edge really is in on my 4 pack.
  10. So I just bought the 4 pack - I'm ready to gift people whenever they're ready to pay me.
  11. The bass really bothers me in this mix - it doesn't serve much of a purpose except to be obnoxious. It does nothing to enhance Schala's Theme - probably downgrades it in its use IMO.
  12. I'm in agreement with Larry here - the source seems to carry this mix pretty strongly here. It also could use quite some expansion. It's not a bad start, but I'd like to hear this mix with an upgrade all around.
  13. So I love the approach taken with this mix - it really gives off the vibe that you're a part of a south american street celebration to Aeris. There's a few clipping issues with the mix, but otherwise I have to say that this is one of my favorite of the pre-500 mixes, if not of the pre-1000 mixes.
  14. The bass is too low in this mix, to the point where it can be headache inducing, especially since it doesn't seem to serve much purpose being this low. Otherwise, the arrangement is pretty cool...but the bass part really kills it for me.
  15. Pretty interesting mix - it keeps things sounding a little haunting but yet cheery in an eerie way. I do think it could've been made longer though before that surprise ending.
  16. Man...I remember this. It takes a sort of Queenesque approach, ala We Will Rock You, but unfortunately other than that intro, it's like a midirip with drums layered on top. The drums easily make this mix. Also boo to the ending.
  17. This is pretty cool - I remember liking a bunch of LousySpy's mixes, and this is no exception. The only thing I really have a problem with here is that it's too short!
  18. Nah, it definitely is too quiet - I had to raise the volume on this one. I remember this though. It takes a pretty cool approach, but it is too short for what is there. It also goes without saying that the samples could use some improvement, but this is a pretty good start to a full fledged song.
  19. What a quirky mix - I guess my biggest problem with this one is that it sounds pretty empty throughout, probably due to the distinct lack of midfrequency stuff. It's pretty lighthearted, but I'm not sure I'd associate this with any type of Christmas.
  20. So I added links to the youtube videos of the songs for potential people interested.
  21. I loved this mix from the project - in addition to the contrast with the original song with the song title and the instrumentation in bringing out the impression of going into the light, it just was done really well overall. The vision is unmistakenly clear with the obvious contrast in the titling, which probably makes it more accessible to people. Overall just a great job orchestrating here by Nutritious!
  22. I've always thought of this as an actual remix, and not a rearrangement. Can't say this was terribly impressive though, as it doesn't really do much with the ample source material.
  23. I never really liked this one - there's a piano rendition in the FF6 Piano Collections that is more intricate, and this doesn't deviate at all from the original except make the lead melody a piano, and with backing strings & a flute put in the background.
  24. I'm not going to mince words here - this is a pretty crappy mix all around. It starts off with a blaring poor sample, and then continues in a fairly repetitive fashion throughout the whole song. The drums don't help it much either as have been mentioned earlier too.
