As close as I am to Chicago, I'm not a big fan of anime and that's smack in the middle of finals week. Plus the only way you'd see me at an anime convention is if there's an OCR panel there (Otakon springs to mind).

Well, I was reading in my school paper today that several colleges across the nation have had some threats directly referencing the Virginia Tech incident...some people are just twisted.

Although this isn't really the place to mull over philosophical details, it should be noted that guns and all weapons/firearms are banned on college campuses. That doesn't stop things like this, and a large portion of gun dealers are unlicensed.

Oh man that's hilarious. On a sidenote, I wonder how much of the media is getting paid to make Timbaland look so great. This sounds like such shady shit, and no one who considers themselves having to do anything with music production/creation with any integrity should be praising him whatsoever for any musical skills.

Personally, I found metal to be the best for working out due to the fast-paced drum beats....but stuff like DragonForce might be too fast if you don't want to push yourself that hard.

Oh wow, I hadn't even heard Fire Cross till that link was posted...I'm behind . I'm not sure why there was even a comparison of the two mixes (CarboHydroM's Zelda medley & LuIzA's Fire Cross), they both have quite different aims in some ways. And 11 pm you say? I'll try to listen up, although that day is the club tennis bar crawl day...I'll probably be forced to leave early anyway due to a test on Friday, so put on a good show!

This reminds me of my final semester at my alma mater - I sort of also slept in fear of someone going on a similar rampage, specifically after me as one of the people, for reasons I will not specify. This seriously sucks, and I hope people can muster the will to move on.

I'm still asking around, so I may be bringing more of my friends along, although we'll have to see. So presumably if we get more than 20 people...where will everyone stay?

Oh I wasn't saying the price was unreasonable, as for the price as a sports car, the Corvette is a stellar in about every way - I was just referring to that when compared to other cars in general at that price, it's a bit much.

Yeah $50k is a lot for a car period...unless you're that rich. Even then I may spend less to avoid people pegging me as rich/extravaggant upon seeing the car.

Yeah, the '06 model was ugly (I think it was that one)...but the previous ones were just fine. As for cars around $50k-$60k? Take your pick. You can get a BMW for that price, and I'd rather pay for that than dump that much into a race car. It just doesn't make sense to spend that much on a Corvette.

Right...even my brother who doesn't like Ford isn't so stupid to think so lowly of the Mustang. The Mustang is priced great for what you get, although it could use a little improvement with the brakes. And really, of the 3 main American car manufacturers, I'd pick Ford over all of the others. The other 2 can't even make any car I'd find attractive enough to buy at the price range it retails for (i.e. Corvette for $50k+? I'd rather buy a luxury car at that price), while at least Ford does manufacture some solid cars at the lower price points.

So, I have a least one friend going, and others interested (but haven't got back to me yet). We need more people for the group discount though...unless djp can talk to Tommy about getting us a discount anyway .
