  1. Ah yes, you're correct - vgmdb actually used to call it Boss Intro instead of Stage Select. I was going somewhat by memory.
  2. Boss 1 on the soundtrack is the intro music before you start a stage in Mega Man X.
  3. It's my personal opinion - first for a project to be successful (come to fruition), you have to have enough interest. You can still have cohesion.
  4. X6 had the Gate Laboratory stages. X7 had Red's Palace, and I didn't make it far enough into X8 to comment about that. I absolutely loved this track when I heard the first WIP from Dom. As quoted in the writeup, it is one of my favorite Mega Man X sources, and to see it done with such justice is incredible. As amusing it is to some, loved the orchestral hits. The piano was a nice touch too. Just a solid Japanese-like arrangement in general. Also this song was made at the ripe age of 17!
  5. Radical Dreamers has the benefit of being a small album of a game from an extremely popular series. As for assistance, the most I can give is as an assistant director as sorts, but it all depends on how flexible you are/receptive to advice & how committed you are. Send me a PM.
  6. I'm gonna be honest - Baiten Kaitos sounds like it might be too obscure. Even a more relatively known RPG series like Star Ocean might be too obscure. I personally think even the more visible Tales series is too obscure. I think your best chance of getting Sakuraba work on the album is to let mixers be open to check out the music on their own and claim something of his work to try to rearrange.
  7. Back then it would kill the formatting of the hard drive in the ipods into its own file system so that it would make having access to the ipod as an external hard drive device possible, but it also killed playlists. ipods were a lot more limited back then though, and I'm not sure how much the tool has evolved since then.
  8. I tried the winamp option before (read: 8 years ago), and I didn't like how it handled things. I'm not sure how much it has developed since then, but having to reformat the ipod and lose some of its features was just as annoying to me.
  9. For some reason I enjoy using ipods, even if itunes sucks ass. I don't really listen to music on the go anymore though.
  10. So I think this image is appropriate for some of the standard haters: On another note, I will give my own review of the album probably at least a couple of months if not over a year later. I want enough time to pass before I give my honest thoughts, and allow time for things to sink in for me.

  16. I love the vibe Jordan is going for here - he did an excellent job converting Vile into a house mix. Got nothing but love for the amount of effort Jordan clearly put into this song, it is stellar all around!
  17. Talked with Brandon and deleted the post. It shouldn't happen again.
  18. So a bit of bad luck - Battle #2 is now open! Edit: That was fast!
