I've recently been going through some of my older PC games for nostalga factor (just finished mechwarrior 2), so I pulled out MW3 to try out. Game installed fine, but when I tried to run it, it gives an error about compatibility with XP and that it needs to be patched. No problem, I downloaded the 1.2 patch, installed it and tried again. Double click the icon to start... nothing happens. Tried rebooting and got the same thing. So I pulled up Task Manager and watched the processes. A mech3.exe process pops up when I doubleclick the icon, but almost instantly disappears. Anyone out here that has the game and has got it working on XP? P4 3.0 GHz Windows XP Pro 1gig ram

Well, at least with submitting an entry, you can see immediately if it worked. Voting-wise, though, you can't tell whether or not it went through.

Is there even such a program? I was under the impression that this wasn't possible.

Well, I admit it sounds pretty rough, but here's where I was coming from: :08 - :10 from sample sounds like a similar chord progression as :31 - :33 in concert :19 - :28 sounds like he's trying to play the main theme, which is :09 - :15 (focus on the first 4 notes he plays in the sample) Oh well, best I could come up with

Seconded, I was a lurker for years before joining the site and have only recently began to "contribute" musically. Yeah, I usually export wavs from FL Studio then use Soundforge to encode it since FL doesn't let you use Variable Bit Rate (I have no idea why).

Well, put it in a folder that is mapped in the browser window (or map a new one if you want in options), create a soundfont channel and drag the .sf2 file to the newly created channel button.

What are the rules for remixers voting on this one?

Well, if I had $200 to burn on a new phone I'd probably get the Upstage. Of course, I'm biased because I work at Sprint. I personally own the Samsung A900, and have put plenty of screensavers and ring tones I've made on it using online uploaders. So, as far as I know, they haven't locked out that ability.
