  1. You know, the adapter is expensive, but it's worth the dough for a great connection. You could also think of it like: two controllers to play w/ two friends is a hundred bucks, but adapter connects you with the world for the same price. If the quality of the adapter were spotty, I'd say it's not worth half of full price, but it really works well. EDIT: I forgot to add, I'm on the second floor of my house with one, and my router is downstairs behind several walls. Perfect connection.
  2. Great to see you're doing better! I'm looking forward to some awesome remixes!
  3. I'll pray for his full recovery - best of luck.
  4. Bad news... Hard drive failure I backed up on June 1st. Since when do 7 month old HDD's fail? Well, it's my fault. Stupid iMac. Well folks, I'll do what I can to try and patch this up; in fact, I had a slightly revised version, but that's just memories now x_x
  5. This is excellent! I have one of the first WIP's of this back from forever ago, and I was waiting for this to get posted. I love it
  6. This is pretty sweet; I love this soundtrack The one thing that I would change is the main synth; it is somewhat low quality, although it does fit the mood. And, no, I don't think this track is meandering; it has a set path. Great work!
  7. Okay, I changed that part and tweaked other things. Getting close to done, I think. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/esuo/Undiscovered--Mod-d-Bass-7
  8. Sweet mix dude! I have deep appreciation for the X4,X5,X6 soundtracks; they don't get enough love here. I might even mix a song myself. Anyway, I like what you have done with this, but I do think the piano is a bit too mellow and calm to fit in with the rest of the mix, especially with that sweet guitar intro. One thing you could do is start with the piano only and build up to the guitar later; that way the listener isn't left waiting for something even more extreme. Like I said, though, it's really sweet. Keep it up!
  9. Yeah. Well I like the very last part because it sets the relaxing mood for the conclusion, but the second to last part I'll be changing. I had finals this week and I'm a little sick, so bear w/ me.
  10. Thanks! Glad you like it. Any other comments? I'm think about changing the bass part near the end. I don't really like it anymore
  11. Okay, big update here. I added more oomph down low and put in a few more parts; also tweaked some things. It's over the size limit, I know, but the 128kbps version I encoded was 5000 bytes too large , so I figured I would treat you all to the 160kbps version. Enjoy! http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/akud/Undiscovered--Mod-d-Bass--4WIP
  12. I'll have a new update within the week. Added more bass, a whole other part on the end, and some main instrument changes. Sit tight!
  13. Nice update; only thing I recommend is to turn up the volume on the piano a bit in the segment around 2/3 of the way through. It kind of gets eaten by the other sound effects in the background.
  14. I really like where this is going. The concept is very unique, and the Memories of Green cameo at the end was cool. One thing though, turn down the volume of the shakers a bit; they can get a bit tiring to the ears. Also, make sure the main instrument in the second half (the part without the melody and just chords) can be heard over the other percussion. Great job so far!
  15. Thanks, I'm looking forward to it.
  16. Really? Hmm... I've listed to the song on three different sets of speakers (including my built-in iMac speakers) and it sounds adequate to me. I just tried upping the bass, and it makes the whole song sound muddy. Any more takes on this?
  17. Thanks! I was listening to JustChris's WIP of the same song, and his is awesome. So you all have one DnB mix and one ambient dance mix
  18. Posted a small update addressing problems above; thanks for the commentary, Robotaki.
  19. O.M.G. Dude, I've had the WIP version of this FOREVER, and just today I was thinking, man, I wish I remembered who did this; I want to hear the finished version. I'll take this time to say this is the best SOTF mix I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of them. Great work! Btw, I actually just posted my SOTF mix on the forums today. Have a listen: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=16372
  20. Can you update the links? They're dead. I really want to hear this. Thanks!
  21. Comments appreciated! Old version: http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/fvxx/Undiscovered-R4160 UPDATE (6/7/08): http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/akud/Undiscovered--Mod-d-Bass--4WIP UPDATE 2 6/18/08 http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/esuo/Undiscovered--Mod-d-Bass-7
  22. At first I didn't recognize it, but I did eventually! Definitely a different direction. I really like what you have here, and it all sounds like one giant improvisation, which in this case is a good thing. Very epic feel, and I like how your percussion emphasis is more on the higher end of things; this is very similar to the original in that regard. Very nice work so far -- excited for updates!
  23. Woah, that is TOTALLY badass! Nice work!
  24. Haha, sweet . Anyway, I'll submit soon; still waiting to hear back on my other mix I submitted last month. It's on the list to be judged. If rejected, I wouldn't mind applying that advice to this.
