  1. If I was using my computer right now I'd show you pictures, but if you look closely at the individual notes in the midi sequencer, you can click a small white bar that adjusts the velocity of the note/beat. You can use that instead of the thing at the bottom and that should work fine. Sorry if I explained that horribly. Anyway, I find sequencing in Reaper just fine, but whatever.
  2. I still don't see why people think this. Elaborate.
  3. I'll play the first Okami sometime in the next five years.
  4. Hrm, I actually have a similar question: Anyone know how to manually input vibrato in the MIDI sequencer in Reaper?
  5. It's my reaction to Bluefox's appearance on #ocrwip yesterday.

    Or anyone's, really.

  6. That's just in 3 months fyi.

  7. Happy early birthday!

  8. Geez, 18 for me. And I'm almost 20 years old. Guess all that loud metal music is taking its toll.
  9. So hey if anyone wants to try their hand at making Mega Man X style music, I ripped all the instruments out 'n stuff. Just throw these into some samplers and have at it.
  10. Blind Guardian might be one of my all time favorites, but since they only had 1-2 albums in the 80s, I don't think I'd call them 80s. That, and this is really not one of their better songs.
  11. Wow I have no idea how to use this crazy program. I'll figure it out.
  12. Wow, never mind, the loop points in this thing have the most terrible buzz to them no matter what I use. How about instead of the soundfont, you let me rip sounds from the .spc file. Then I'll send you the .wav files and I'll let you run them through whatever sampler you use. If you don't have a sampler or even know what one is, I know a nice one you can use.
  13. 'ey Cyril, just so we don't get off on the wrong foot, we're using the MMX soundfont from here, right? EDIT: Erm also you wouldn't happen to know a soundfont VSTi that doesn't make nasty crackle-y noises would you? If not I think I'll just grab the MMX .spc and rip wav samples from it.
  14. Queensrÿche Queensrÿche QUEENSRŸCHE EDIT: I also echo Kyle's suggestions on the Judas Priest and Rush albums.
  15. There's way better songs imo. We'll see what happens, but the song isn't really all that impressive compared to the rest.
  16. Modplug is top notch for ripping .spc samples. That is, if you know how to convert to .it :3
  17. I remember that game being pretty sweet but the music is all a blur.
  18. I'm gonna buy a midi cable for my keyboard if I'm seriously doing this. Pointing and clicking all those notes will drive me nuts. I guess I'll take vulture.
  19. Me and Cyril and whoever could all do it I guess. We could always do it OCR-Project style and let people claim tracks. EDIT: provided they use the sound set from either X, X2, or X3.
  20. I could probably do that with a bit of .spc ripping and a nice sampler.
  21. This soundtrack should consist of either chiptunery or badass metal. Personally I'm in favor of #2.
  22. I will quote myself to answer you, Mirby. We sort of have someone in mind, but I dunno if that's still in the game yet.
  23. We have enough already in my humble opinion.
