  1. Yes, and she's the current File Lord. But he has a son as well (named Iroh, so perfect) who showed up at the very end of today's ep. A General in the United Forces army.
  2. So who's already bought their tickets for the concert, and for those that haven't, has anyone considered trying to go in for group prices? It'd be nice if all the OCR folk could sit together for this.
  3. I hear RoboTrek and Mystic Ark are both pretty good, though not necessarily everyone's cup of tea for different reasons (high difficulty for the former, a tendency to purposely screw around with you 24/7 for the latter).
  4. Other than officially calling it an MMO, that article doesn't go against anything we've heard to date, which means it may still be possible to pull a DQIX and play single-player while just hiring randomly-rolled party members in your own game. I'm not assuming anything until an article with more information pops up; that one really didn't do anything more than give a solid JP release date.
  5. The latest episode made me lol when I realized Asami is basically going to take Sokka's role in Team Korra as "the non-bender", and then tried to imagine her with his personality.
  6. Arrow#1360 Just dropping that right before we all never see each other again outside the game.
  7. As someone who grew up as a casual player of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat but was primarily into platformers and RPGs, even I could see that JLTF was junk. But the was maddeningly catchy for being so simple (probably cause of dat bass)
  8. I'm downloading the installer now in preparation. I've never actually played a single Blizzard game with the exceptions of The Lost Vikings and Justice League Task Force, so I'm going in blind! Will probably roll a Demon Hunter since I've always preferred ranged fighters in my games.
  9. There's, like, 5 different names floating around. Energybending was the one used by the old nick.com site for the show, so that seems to be the one people try to cite as official, but eh, who knows. I was calling it spiritbending up to this point.
  10. Here's an interesting Tumblr post about Amon's trick in ep 3 and how it differs from past usage in the franchise. EDIT: By the way, I started watching the original series immediately after Korra's premiere finished airing, and finished the finale last Thursday. I love the Avatar series SO MUCH now. I will be watching this show with bated breath, no joke.
  11. Toadofsky, your signature image pretty well matched my reaction to the drop of this album. Excellent work, Drew and Ben!
  12. So during the opening weekend of The Art of Video Games at the American Art Museum in DC, Bahamut, Pezman, and I ran into Tommy Tallarico and he was like "you guys need to get your asses to Video Games Live again, it's totally different now!" Unfortunately, the local show he was talking about is in Bethesda, Maryland at the Strathmore Music Center on April 7, which means it's smack in the middle of PAX East. So obviously Tommy's wish to get djp and the staff out for another show isn't gonna happen this time. But that doesn't mean the rest of us DC/VA/MD folks who aren't going to PAX can't hit this up. So who wants to go? There's two showings that day, one at 2pm and another at 8pm. Those with long drives might prefer the 2pm one since they don't have to head home at midnight, but either works for me. Anyone up for this? Links: homepage, tourdates, purchase tickets for 2pm showing or 8pm showing
  13. Most everyone knows about the background of this (that was awesome to hear about, Mirby, btw), but for those who weren't aware, the name itself is a misspelling of Kometo, ie ko-metoroido, ie "little metroid". But the little misspellings of the original game give it so much character. Hydra is lame compared to Hewdraw! PS: I had to make sure I had enough money to cover bills, but I'm in the clear now, and will be picking this up tomorrow.
  14. I'm not afraid to admit I just got hot and bothered when I read who's in the Kid Icarus soundtrack lineup.
  15. Destructoid did a post about this too, which may account for some of those sudden 300.
  16. Considering she did music work on a multi-million dollar game series, that me be tough to do, but here's hoping all the same. Happy birthday, Jill!
  17. You all should use the extra month to try and get in contact with Johnny Yong Bosch and see if he'll record over the infamous X4 lines; that way all three Zero VA's will have done it, and you can include THAT in the trailer for the album. You will get super fandom cred.
  18. Yeaaah, this is a really wonderful piece. I generally dig calm and chill stuff, but add piano on top of that? I'm sold. And yes, I no longer want to throw my 3DS through a window now. Thanks for keeping me from wasting $170, Drakken!
  19. 2406-5910-7989 - Finally picked one up. Only got Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart so far.
  20. Scapper/Fi/MASTER SHORTPANTS was the best masochism triangle of all gaming.
  21. HAPPY BAASDAY (count ze candlez)
  22. Fantastic work on all parts. And the people that stayed after got a nice surprise in the form of a couple of Maverick Rising teasers!
  23. I've recently been playing a lot of Run Roo Run, from 5th Cell. It's pretty much nothing like Drawn to Life or Scribblenauts; it's a micro platformer where your only ability is tapping the screen to jump. And each level can be finished in less than 3 seconds if you don't make mistakes, making this game perfect for times when you only have a few seconds to waste. But each chapter (20 of them) adds a new ability to your jump, a new environmental assist, or a hazard of some type, and they keep stacking, and even by chapter 6 you're like ARHGUIONSWCOIUHOHC at some of those jumps. It's pretty addicting! It's also got 420 levels altogether, with free DLC dropping every week, so it'll keep you going for a while. My only real problem with it is something Joystiq's review mentioned: you can't access the leaderboards and have your times posted to it until you've beaten all 420 levels. The problem is that each chapter has 15 normal levels and 6 extreme levels, and I would've liked to have seen my time compared to others before forcing myself to go through those things.
