So basically, the same voice cast they've used for everything FFVII-related that had voices since then. Can't hate that; said cast has been pretty solid over the years. Wonder if that will hold true for the English cash as well? It sounded like Steve Burton again as Cloud, but I couldn't tell if that was still Beau Billingslea as Barret or not. Definitely looking forward to a few more tidbits of Rick Gomez, though. His stuff in Crisis Core was a joy to listen to.

Now that you've gotten part 1 of your gift, please reply to my Steam friend request so I can give you part 3! I have no idea when you'll get part 2 in the mail, other than "before Christmas".

OverClocked ReMix Design ?'s and Issues
Arrow replied to Liontamer's topic in Site Issues & Feedback
Just as a heads-up, DJP wants issues with the new forum upgrade to be reported in the Community thread specifically for it, over at http://ocremix.org/community/topic/42360-notice-forums-upgraded-to-ips-41x-report-issues/. Makes it easier to tackle all the resultant issues in one spot. -
I am at the exact same spot, and I just did that same side quest last night, lol! When I saw the map marker point in Oblivia pop up way the fuck out there, I was terrified. Ironically, what nearly did me in wasn't that sidequest, but another one in Oblivia that took me near the much safer south edge, but still to some areas I hadn't explored. Thankfully, I explored the final target area in full and ran across a fast travel point at Rooney Cavern. Immediately after that, as part of finishing off the affinity mission, I had to fight a level 19 enemy. Not even a tyrant, but the creature was so massive in size, that my party was repeatedly getting wiped even though most of us were level 27. I had to change classes back to one of the more offense-oriented ones and be careful about properly staggering my attacks before I finally took it out. I feel like I've finally gotten to the point where I really need to start paying more attention to augments and choice of arts. That said, I feel duped since the affinity mission let you accept as early as level 19. XD

zircon made me start watching this anime, and after I'd finished just one episode, I couldn't stop; had to watch all the rest to date ASAP. Apparently the show will only last 12 episodes? (with some OVAs) Which makes me really sad, but I'm assuming it's an Attack on Titan-type situation, and a second season will eventually be made once the manga's made enough source material for it. Which... will probably take another year or two at the least.

I'm currently a rank 7 Shield Trooper, but I've basically been starting at the top of the chart and working my way down, immediately switching to the next item on the list once I master the previous one. Once I've tried them all out, then I'll pick one to stay with.

I haven't been keeping up with other players' experiences, but I can't help but assume that robot in the lake woke up and killed ALL of us. XD From what I've heard, getting the flight module for Skells happens via an Affinity Mission you can accept anytime after chapter 9. So it's not too horribly far off.

And away goes my first gift! Second gift will go out in the mail once I have time to drop by the post office during my lunch break at work.

lol, the number of times unassuming plants in Noctilum have tried to eat me so far is off the charts XD Yeah, the music is gorgeous; Hiroyuki Sawano knocked it out of the goddamn park. That Noctilum day theme is also one of my favorites, and I'm starting to get more partial to Oblivia's day theme too. New LA's day and night themes... they're ridiculous, but they're actually growing on me, and I'm kind of afraid of that, lol Oh! Another protip for everyone here that I stumbled on last night. Follow Ball (R + X) is pretty great, but don't forget your Aerial Cam! R + up on the D-pad. You launch a camera super high in the air directly above you, and can twist the camera around to look at all the surroundings for a long distance. Follow Ball remains great for pathfinding, but Aerial Cam is also super useful in spots, like in Noctilum when there's so much greenery around that even the Follow Ball is difficult to follow. I also tend to use it a lot when I'm in an area looking for a nearby treasure, relic, or FrontierNav spot and can't find it; that extra height helps a lot. Especially in FrontierNav spots in Primordia that turn out to be on mountain tops, so the Aerial Cam at least lets me realize it's on a mountain top and I have no way to get up there without a flying Skell so I can quit wasting my time.

If the episodes don't all come out at the same time (and the term "episodic" in gaming today implies not), then it's not the same, and people can understandably have a problem with that. I mean, yeah, FF7 was originally three discs, but you got all those discs at once and didn't have to wait any period of time to play more of the game.

So is anybody else falling madly in love with Xenoblade Chronicles X, or am I the only one? I'm currently stuck in one of the story missions for Chapter 5, the first time I ran into a real stickler point so far. My party's all around level 21, but the enemies surrounding these three targets I'm going after are anywhere from 18-26, so I can't manage to sneak around to the final remaining target without getting stomped into the ground. Think I'll go explore the entire northern portion of Noctilum that you don't touch during Chapter 4 in an attempt to plant some more probes and grind some levels. Even despite being stuck, though, I'm still having mad fun just exploring this entire world at my leisure. EDIT: Beat Chapter 5 last night. I was on pins and needles the whole way through, but once I got to level 22, as long as I was taking on the larger targets at level 26 on their own and not pulling any other nearby enemies into the fight, I was able to take them down. Some of those same enemies that were level 26 could spawn at up to level 30 randomly when you scroll them onto the screen though, so I had to do a lot of running back and forth at the edge of their pop-up radius until they specifically appeared at 26. Hopefully that helps other people that get stuck there too. Though there was one giant enemy in my way who never spawned below 29, so I had to very carefully sneak past that one.

I missed out on this last year. Not making that mistake again! Just signed up.

We both know about it, and I own it (in fact, I Kickstarted it), but just like the other 221 games in my Steam collection I haven't yet touched, this sits in my backlog, unloved.

I swear to god this didn't work when I tried it two days ago (I'd guessed that was how to do it as it was the most intuitive possibility), and all of a sudden it's working fine now. Eh, whatever. Thanks for the heads-up on it.

It is. I don't have any direct experience with PSP to Vita, but I did transfer all my saves from PSP to PSTV, and the process is identical. It requires a separate computer (PC or Mac, this works on both), installing Sony's Content Manager Assistant software on said computer, and a USB-to-miniUSB cable to copy your saves off the PSP. If you're good on all of that, follow the instructions here.

Level 1:Try to swat everything as soon as it appears so you don't have to deal with a ton of the split off tiny flies. Level 2: Go for the big bugs as soon as you see one. Go after the tinier stuff only when big flies aren't visible. Level 3: If there's a bomb on the screen, hit it immediately. Otherwise, spend all your time hitting the boss. Only go after the tiny split flies if there's nothing else currently on the screen. Level 3's unfortunately really exacting with its timing, but it only took me about 4 tries once I'd stumbled on the advice above. ----- I have my own question for folks, while I'm posting. Does anyone know how to make the alternate stage music last the whole stage? Whenever I'm playing around in Edit mode, and I put down a mushroom or Bowser music icon in mid-air on the start point to immediately begin the alt music, said music only lasts until I get about a screen-length away from where it was triggered, and then it goes back to the default music for the stage. That'skind of ridiculous, and I've seen several online stages using that SMB1 alt music via the mushroom where the song lasts the whole stage, so I know it's possible, but I don't know how to do it myself.

Finally throwing my hat into the ring on the making side rather than the playing one. Eversion: FD0B-0000-005B-0E90 If you've played the indie platformer by the same name, you have some idea of what to expect, though obviously this Mario-based take on it is far less terrifying in the upper numbers.

DiscoCactus' concert stream is actually archived on MAGFest's Twitch channel now: http://www.twitch.tv/magfest/v/16427673

Very cool! Yellow path is giving me tons of trouble though, what with how to hit that P switch as the platform takes off.

Sounds intriguing, but I'm getting a course not found error with that code.

"The Rose General" predates this album's recruitment launch by half a year. IanFitC mentions it simply to point out how he found the website at large thanks to stumbling onto that track, if I'm reading that correctly, and isn't implying that the song is on the album. No album OCR has ever put out has just been old stuff; everything is always produced anew specifically for the album. It's always a new album with new songs. Admittedly, since this project first started five and a half years ago (geez!), you can't accurately call some of the tracks on here "new" anymore, but still. There's some rare exceptions where a track posted to the front page will later end up on an album, but in all of those cases, it's tracks that were already on the album, and they got posted early as a teaser of sorts, such as these three examples.

For the record, you can often purchase refurbished 32gb Wii Us from nintendo.com at $200. That's probably the cheapest you'll be able to pull off, but it's a fairly solid deal when it's available. They're quite often out of stock on it though; it's kind of random when you'll be able to get it there.

They just released the schedule and we've got two panels, both on Saturday: the general OCR one at 11:30am, and a "how to remix" one at 8pm.
