Not sure what the others look like, but there's footage on Youtube of Snake in SSE crawling. Naturally he looks the same as he does crawling in any other Metal Gear Solid title, but the fact remains that crawling's still in.

Haha, what? I'm not the artist of that pic and never once claimed I was; it's linked in my sig just so people can see the source. I haven't updated it to his newest version though, because I use this sig on several forums, and some are trigger happy about spoiling Brawl. Figured I'd leave it at this one until the game comes out.

What's really amazing is that not more than a year ago, there was something like 12000+ midis in there. That clearout was hueg like xbox!

Dream Chaser is indeed one of the better tracks from X. But we wanted stuff more relevant from GX than Replay and Casino Palace. (PS: Devil's Call in your Heart is <3)

314 tracks. 150 new rearrangements, 35 songs original to Brawl, 70 straight recorded copies, 30 songs lifted from Melee with few changes, 27 victory/unlocking ditties, and 2 blank files. Not sure where you got 6 from.

JP site shows EarthBound and Fire Emblem 3 in the demo screenshots. Guess that means Marth's back for sure.

Have a happy womb escape day!

Yeah, but it's not like we haven't had ladies with super thighs in Street Fighter before.

Back when I first got online (94 or so), I was involved in Sonic the Hedgehog based role-playing on AOL, and Arrow was an original character for that. It stuck; I never cared to get rid of it. Until I registered here and saw Arrow was already taken. Curses!

I remember this; it was when Pong and I were walking back into the concert area looking for Hale while Select Start was beginning their set. I couldn't figure out whether she just couldn't recognize you or what. I was too tired for the situation to have really kicked in, or else I would've bugged her about it during the entire rest of the concert for lulz.

I think it'd be tough to top what everyone else has said up to this point, but I feel much the same in various ways. OCR really got me to open my eyes when it came to musical genres, listening to things outside my usual box, and gaining an appreciation for more than just what I previously tended to listen to. It also gave me the impetus I needed to finally start meeting people I knew online in real life; before then, due to religious tendencies that had been shoved down my throat, I was wary of such a thing. Now I don't even want to think of going a year without going to some sort of con where I'll see people I know. Preferably two cons or more. Also, that impetus to meet people is what allowed me to meet another person I know online who is not into OCR, and we clicked so well that I'm trying my damndest to figure out some way to move to California so I can hang out with her on a permanent basis (she knows of this plan, and approves). So thank you OCR, for possibly allowing me to have a girlfriend some day!

Can't really help you with your questions, but to this day, SF2 is in my Top 5 favorite VG soundtracks. I about died the first time I heard the Symphonic Suite CD.

Wait, how is Krystal a 3rd Party character? Yes, Rare created her originally, but she's part of the Star Fox universe now, which is blatantly owned by Nintendo.

I've heard no news of an MP3 OST release (Kenji Yamamoto's recent interview makes it sound like it's possible, but not in the cards right now). MP2 didn't get one at all. I'd REALLY like to see an MP2 OST with a Zero Mission second disc.

I wouldn't be surprised if his original outfit shows up as an alt-color. But honestly, Wario Ware's taken over the general mindset of Wario's "look" as far as most people seem to be concerned. You're literally the first person I've seen across 20 message boards to wish the old style Wario was being used instead of the new.

As a LiveJournal user who is too lazy to properly keep track of various Blogspot or Wordpress journals, that was a fantastic thread update. Thanks man!

13 is Game and Watch, as 12 through 14 all seem to be franchises that debuted in Melee, and G&W is the only one left to reveal from that game. 15 on are franchises new to Brawl, and seem to be alphabetically ordered by their Japanese names translated to English. That means 19 has to be a franchise between Myth of Light (Kid Icarus) and Sonic the Hedgehog. Possibilities I can immediately think of off the top of my head are Rockman, Pac-man, Pikmin, and Punch Out. That also means that Castlevania, Resident Evil, and any Square-Enix franchise (except Wild Arms and Xenogears) are right out, since their letters have already been passed up.

Mmm, now I have an actual reason to scream "DO A BARREL ROLL" in battles to my heart's content.

Didn't Sakurai say way back when that there'd only be a max of 2 or 3 third party characters anyway?

Pretty sure that was a GFed ship, if only because GFed lasers are never ominously red in color.

This is a fantastic update. The only thing that would've made it better, IMO, was not seeing that Brawl uses 4x4x4 Friend Codes. I'm starting to wonder what the hell the point of Wii Numbers are if no game (except Prime 3, I suppose) is ever going to make use of them instead of implementing their own DS-like system.

I'll be there for the record, but like DJP, I live fairly close and won't need a room. I might not even bother with taking my car since, despite being on opposite ends of the spectrum, both my house and Magfest's location are in DC/VA/MD lightrail range. Still debating that.

All my post meant is that only 18 franchises are accounted for so far in current icon numbering. That hardly means Sakurai can't add a 19th or further if he wants to.
-
This came from Smashboards originally, for the record; I didn't come up with this on my own. Go to Dojo and look at the filenames for any of the series icons used in the top left corner of each post; you'll notice they're numbered. 01 - Smash Bros. 02 - Donkey Kong 03 - Star Fox 04 - Kirby 05 - F-Zero 06 - Metroid 07 - Earthbound 08 - Pokémon 09 - Zelda 10 - Mario 11 - Yoshi 12 - Fire Emblem 13 - ??? 14 - Ice Climber 15 - Animal Crossing 16 - Wario 17 - ??? 18 - Kid Icarus Now obviously, by looking at that list, you can tell that 2-11 are franchises that first made an appearance in the original game, while 12-14 are Melee originals, and 15 on are various series new in Brawl. We can all be safe in guessing 17 is Metal Gear. But 13 has to be a franchise that first was used in Melee... and the only new characters from franchises not originally in the first game were Ice Climbers, Marth, Roy, and Mr. G&W. Since Fire Emblem and Ice Climber are already accounted for in the icon list, clearly Game and Watch has to be the missing franchise.
