  1. The ever mysterious PosiBolt. Well, figured you'd be interested - the conflicts you brought up in that game I showed you have been resolved. Send me a PM if you ever want to know the progress on it :)

  2. Not much activity in the project forums. I understand it's early, but if anyone has anything to show off (be it super-rough, 60%, nearly finished, whatever), the project forum is certainly the place for it. I'm sure Bahamut is really enjoying the tracks that have progress on them, but I insist that people use the project forums for their WIPs so we all can give some helpful feedback on the tracks. If you can't get into the project forums, let Bahamut know so he can give you access. Just throwing that out there - it's been awfully quiet for the past month .
  3. http://www.box.net/shared/lsgk0jrn0v OMG OMG OMG, Gario writes purely orchestral music!? Yup - in fact, I personally prefer to write for the orchestra over writing electronic music. I just don't have the tools to make it sound good, right now . This has been sitting around my computer for about a year, so I decided to share. It was made for a project with orchestral Metroid remixes, and now I decided to share it with you guys here. This isn't and was never meant for OCR, so don't worry about it's conservative nature or poor quality. It was made on Sibelius with the onboard Sibelius soundfont (which isn't good, but it's a touch above GM). If anyone wants to upgrade the soundfont to something a little more pleasant just let me know here and I can send you the files . I'm personally not going to update it, though, nor am I going to spend any time rearranging it for any reason - it's finished, in my book. I don't mind feedback, though (as long as it's about the orchestration/arrangement, that is - sample quality will be a redundant statement ). Alright, enjoy. You can't have enough Super Metroid mixes . If you want the sib file/score/midi just let me know.
  4. You're 21. You now need to get smashed... and I'm not talkin' about the 'Smash Bros' kind, either. Happy birthday.
  5. Alright, I got mine up. It's short, but at least there's a functional reason for it being so, this time . I hope it's acceptable. Go Axiom Rangers! EDIT: Perhaps an extension should be in order? There was some interest in this thread before, where'd they go?
  6. I'll try and get something on it. No need to see a compo go to waste, eh? I hope there's more people than me, though .
  7. First one is Castlevania for the NES. I'm not familiar with the other two, but I'm sure someone will identify them in time.
  8. So bLiNd, I take it you're reARMing yourself with that DANGerous track?
  9. Hey, I actually do mean I want more execution-based challenge, lol. I want more of that 'depth' stuff, too, though. It's great to know the difference; I never even thought about the difference between the two. Great stuff, man.
  10. I do so love that song, so I'd be happy to work on it. Just not at the moment - this year is the culmination of roughly 3-4 projects, so... yeah. PM me at the beginning of next year and I see what we can do. :)

  11. Don't worry - mine's in . I'm taking a short break, but I'm going to attempt to finish it today, to the best of my ability - all it needs is a freakin' ending (which is always the most difficult part of the piece ). Hope you enjoy it . Also, WOOT Devastus! EDIT: Woah, I just noticed that this is probably the only track I've written in years that DOESN'T rely on heavy-ass gating (there's a LITTLE gating, but it's a bare minimum). Neato.
  12. Ah, that old chestnut... It found it's way onto R:TS. I'm finding most of what I submit ends up there, instead.

Sparkman didn't make it through the panels this time around, unfortunately, but it isn't lost - you'll find it on that link. Enjoy :)!!.

  13. ... Button Masher's version is way better.
  14. You never know unless you try - why don't you post a request in this forum? That's what it's there for.
  15. OH NOES! You're a director for this!? We're all gonna get whipped for WIPS! j/k I knew you were a director Wait, I'm a director, too... do I get a whip to whip people for their WIPs? I've always wanted a whip to whip the WIP people for their WIP's.
  16. You know that if you switch your name around a bit, you come up with apple lab? What're you gonna do in your apple lab, create genetic apple monstrosities, or genetically splice them with a human, so it becomes a sentient being just so it can scream when you eat it? WOULD YOU EAT A SENTIENT APPLE MAN, PALPABLE?! IN YOUR INSANE APPLE LAB, PALPABLE?!? IN YOUR APPLE LAB!? Happy birthday. Don't make freaky apple mutants and eat them - it's probably not good for your health. Eat cake instead.
  17. You also could put a space between the '8' and the 'O'. You know, so it's 8 O rather than . You really expanded that Sorceress part, and it was neat. It was lacking some FF6, there, but it was still a good expansion.
  18. My favorite remix of it is easily this one. No kidding, the way that the voice lines up in it just... works.
  19. I made a few minor tweeks, so if you could redownload my track for this compo, Darkesword, that'd be awesome . EDIT: Shit, that was past the deadline, wasn't it? Completely unintentional - I thought I was within 12:00 GMT. Ah well, use either one, at your digression.
  20. Alright, spent all day today getting this done. While making this one, I couldn't help but think... Gario defeated Sixto! Gario gains B. Crusher (Bit Crusher)! ... cause I learned how to crunch the sounds in this mix, lol. This is probably the highest quality production I have to date, so be prepared.
  21. Well the way I look at it, it's possible for me to perform Guile's double crouching sweep with a controller. I do NOT see myself being able to perform that technique using motion sensors (not without breaking my own neck, anyway).
  22. Happy birthday! Shame you didn't come to the Las Vegas meetup - then I could've came up with something more clever than 'Keep making jawesome guitar remixes!!1!'. ... but I can't. Keep making jawesome guitar remixes!!1!
  23. Shit, I don't know. The Mayans should've been usin' the Gregorian or Julian calendar, because let's face it - if they were we wouldn't be in this whole '2012' mess, would we?
  24. As much as I've thought about it (and REALLY want to go), I absolutely can't, due to family issues + financial strain (mainly family issues, though). I hope y'all have a great time, and perhaps I'll see you there in 2012 (if, you know, the WORLD DOESN'T END!!1!).
  25. Balancing the lead 'guitar' onto the left ear was a bit annoying, but otherwise it sounded like it blended much better. Center it and I think that instrument is in the clear. The Unreal/Deus Ex instrument at 1:52 sounds like you could lower the attack on it by roughly 20ms. A softer entrance would help it blend greatly, and it would clear up the section in 2:24, too. All the 'strike noise' is cluttering that section needlessly. Otherwise, soundin' great. I understand you're looking for a critical ear, though, so gushing about how I've loved this track isn't going to do you any good. Let's instead make the final push to the front page!
