  1. AHA! So that's what you look like. I admit your original stuff has a bit more of an interesting flavor than your remixes (although 'Jungle Hell' was pretty darn good, imho). Why did you use GM for the bass in the Undercove_Hobo track?
  2. I see you're still nay sayin', Rozo?! And you got someone to agree with your wicked lies? The track isn't 20 minutes long... ...it's 20:16...
  3. I recently listened to the sets over a cross state trip about a month ago. Here's my chance to thank you for putting it up on your site .
  4. All monsters have deep pockets - deep enough to hold random shit that's only useful to the player, like potions, gold/gil/GP, weapons crafted specifically for the player, etc. Either pockets, or they stuff them into some orifice on their bodies (which the players diligently search after every single kill they make). Also, running away is an expensive feat - often costing up to 5% of your wealth. That's like tithing every time you want to avoid a conflict. It's generally a flat tax, too, so you lose no matter what, rich or poor.
  5. Stale... I'm talking about the strings, for the most part. They don't have any variation in dynamics, attack or timbre, so they sound mechanical and 'stale'. Bring them up to par, production-wise. My EQ is normally 'flat', so the piercing that I'm hearing periodically is either Youtube or the highs. Because of how strong it is on my headphones I suspect it's the latter. It's not a general 'high' that's on the master track, it's more focused on a few instruments, so you could conceivably just fix the EQ on the offending instruments. I hope that helps a little bit.
  6. Piaget's Object Permanence is a lie. If you can't see something anymore, it truly falls out of this plane of existence. (Sidescrollers) I guess we really understand the reality of things better as babies, after all.
  7. Sefiros - made my favorite remix on this site and vanished. Holy crap, what a way to tease your fan base, there. Also, I made this thread for Disco Dan about a year ago, only to find out he now is married and considers this place a bit draining on his time, so he can't do much on here anymore. At least, that's how I interpreted his post (and the post saying he's now married). Nonetheless, he is greatly missed, here .
  8. Love Startropics. Glad to see it get a bit more love, here. The symphonic opening needs some humanization. It's very, very stale, when it comes to production quality. The arrangement of it is neat, though. The electronic is mellow, but not bad at all. Be careful with the Vibes in there, though - the highs make them distort and hurt the ears. Some of the synths (like the lead at 2:19) also use too much high-end, so take it down a little bit. Check into some of the production issues. Otherwise, it's pretty neat and catchy. Keep up the good work.
  9. In virtually any world involved with both guns AND swords, swords are always superior. Always. Despite common belief, Arthur does not have anything to do with the Excalibur. It always just seems to be... there. It is also always the second strongest sword in existence, if it exists (some random, cliche sword that doesn't seem to have any significance seems to be the strongest, like a 'Crystal Sword' or an 'Ultima Sword' or some shit).
  10. Quick question: DS, do you mind if I pimp out this compo elsewhere on the web, for the sake of getting fresh faces on here? I'm thrilled to see new faces on here, and I think it'd be better to get more people participating from around the interwebz.
  11. Protodome, you the man. Keep being awesome.
  12. Here's a fairly new one for y'all. I posted it in the 'OCRtan' thread, but it's more fitting here. I promised I'd post a link to my sister's page if I posted this, so... yeah. Enjoy (it's my current background, btw).
  13. AAAAW DAAAAMN! Sorry, here's some belated birthday wishes from me. I haven't had any consistent access to the net in the past few days (believe it or not, someone actually took my broadband... go figure ). Anyway, glad to hear it was a good birthday .
  14. Thank God I caught this before the slots filled up! Last match I read up and was thinking 'HOLY SHIT AWESOME! I need to be a part of that!'... then found out it was closed already. I must do this compo, here. My choice pick, here... 1.) Crystal Snail (MMX2) 2.) Boomer Kuwanger (MMX1) 3.) Blaze Heatnix (MMX6) Those are my three choices, here - best of luck for everyone here. Please note: if the competition starts any time this week, please put me in the bracket that starts the week after. I virtually cannot do anything remix-wise this week.
  15. Haaappy birthday... CC Ricers. And haaaaappy missed birthday, Hemo .
  16. Thanks for posting the entry. I was going to get something in myself, but some stuff has come up that's taken priority, here, so I won't be able to. Sorry I can't help ya, this time.
  17. Wow. The irony in the title made me think it was going to be a silly thread, not one showing an actual heroic act. Well, my regards and prayers go out to his family.
  18. If you die and donate your hat to your grandkids, they'll inherit not only a hat, but your experience, ability, strength... (FFV) ... Fuck, I've gotta try this.
  19. ... not gonna lie, I seriously thought this thread was going to by why the hell this guy changed from a standard dildo to one with the balls and some... eyes. Glad the Germans caught on to that in their translation, lol. As for the Snes version, no one seems to recall 'Tra la la, find Shaharala-la-la (or whatever his name was)'? It was just a lame hint for where to go next (if, by chance, you got lost on the way from the shrine to the town and went through the work of finding the powder first... which is not likely). I'm going to have to stick with the 'PRE-pre-N64' explanation for the LA version, here, but to be frank there's some real problems with that theory, too - why the hell would an American translator be privy to that information? I'm on the boat wondering what the hell it all means, now...
  20. Hey, Dj Mokram did a remix of this about a year ago for the FBRC2009 compo. Perhaps it'll suffice?
  21. Totally skimped on my sig... sorry 'bout that, haven't been around this month much, so I wasn't set up for anything. C'mon guys, give this guy some musical love, here!
  22. Have a birthday full of awesome, Dj Mokram. If you don't I'll be very disappointed in you and whoever else was involved in taking away the awesomeness of your birthday. Also, I still type out 'Dj Morkam' to this day - it's just one of those names I cannot get right, for the life of me... EVEN THOUGH IT'S IN MY SIG!
  23. Yeah, but I think DS's song was going to go with the release (obviously there were some complications, so it didn't happen). I don't know the details on the posting order - DS's was the only one I was sure of. Your song might be posted, too (that's what LT said, anyway). I can't say for sure, though, since I'm not LT. I am sure that my song won't be posted, though, lol.
  24. Aaah... Another (more important) album release. That's perfectly understandable (especially since it IS FFV ). And, of course, the regular release schedule. In that case, we'll all just need to wait patiently for DJP to post us then, won't we? ... ...by us, I mean you, DS, lol.
