  1. Hey Salluz,

I saw that you would like a ride to MAGFEST. You may be in luck. I'm actually departing from K-Zoo with my friends Tyler and Jackie. I just have to ask them and make sure its cool for you to join. I'll let you know.

  2. I like the live voting idea. My idea is "Live Remix." I'd love to see how other people approach creating a remix. It could be worked on ahead of time or maybe even completely improvised.
  3. Congrats to theophany. I'm looking forward to hearing it and sound test's version. I probably won't update my track until Christmas break. Very busy. And then, MAGFEST! YAY!
  4. Where in Michigan do you reside? I live in Grand Rapids and work in Holland.

  5. Due to being fortunate or just plain lucky, I started working at a job this week that will help me pay for going to MAGFEST! I look forward to meeting you all.
  6. My goals in no particular order : 1) Participate in PRC and actually remember that OHC is happening on thursday nights at 9 PM eastern. I often forget. 2) Make my own original electronic music album 3) Make looped Bass guitar music 4) Learn to play the guitar better so I can play some screaming leads and rhythmic chords 5) Learn to play keyboard better 6) Work on getting some Project remixes done. 7) Submit a few remixes with the hope of getting them added to this site.
  7. I apologize for that. I didn't look at the rules clearly enough before hand.
  8. I'm glad OA commented on this, otherwise I never would have listened to this. All I can say is "Incredible" after listening to this.
  9. Showroom, I dug your track. It was unique and creative. My track is now posted. I went for a Trance approach.
  10. Thanks for choosing Lifeforce as a PRC source. I had never heard of this game before. Great music.

  11. I found a side chaining tutorial today after Lukas (Forum name, don't know what his OCR name is) told me that I should try using side chaining on my pads. http://www.reasontutorials.net/2009/04/side-chain-compression-reason-tutorial/
  12. I claim Tantangel Castle. I've loved that track ever since I played Dragon Warrior on my NES.
  13. The latest PRC has Life Force as one of the sources. I decided it would sound awesome as a trance track. I think the structure is going to stay where it is. Please give me feedback on how it sounds.
  14. Yay, It's thanksgiving week and I have time to work on this. I love the melody of Lifeforce. I had never heard of this game before.
  15. I use a line6 USB soundcard (or at least what I call a soundcard). I love USB since it is portable between my laptop and desktop. They range from $100 to $200. It's also the perfect device for recording guitar. http://line6.com/products/recording/
  16. I think Global-Trance should share his knowledge on this thread. I don't know much about the scene and would love to hear about great Trance music. Even if it is just a brief list.
  17. I saw on a thread that you had bought the Line 6 Metal and FX expansion packs. Did you find them worth the money? Or is the stock stuff good enough? I use pod farm and am curious if I want to upgrade in the future.

  18. I second this. I listen to this song about 2-3 times a week when I'm driving in my car.
  19. It almost annoys the crap out of me but I love it.
  20. Recently a collaboration album came out between North American and South American artists that I really enjoy listening to called N.A.S.A - The Spirit of Apollo. Check out the related videos if you want to hear more. I really enjoy the following...
  21. I don't know individual artists very well. I would like to recommend the Trance and Vocal Trance radio stations on DI . Also, check out Ultra Trance Zone You can go to Forums -> Audio Exchange and download many trance sets that get played on the internet radio. It's a great way to discover new music.
  22. I'm considering using a string quartet with a piano type format for the 2 tracks I mentioned. I can't stop listening to both of them. I'm not great at orchestration, but it doesn't hurt to try and see what happens.
  23. One of the Ensembles I regret never joining at Grand Valley State University is the New Music Ensemble. They have played and recorded "Music for 18 Musicians" by Stephen Reich and recently "In C" By Terry Riley amongst other new unique compositions. They did something very unique with IN C. They recorded it and asked professionals to remix the music. "IN C" Remixed on Amazon Here is a preview of the "IN C" Album. Enjoy.
  24. Oh man. Thanks for directing me to this gem.
