Heath did impress, as I didn't think he could do it at all. He had his shortcomings, but damn, did he ever entertain. Fact is, there are way too many comic book films to consider this the end all be all greatest. You want authenticity to the source material, try the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's not perfect, but nothing is. You want humanity, Iron Man. You want Batman, Burton's neo gothic flair, mixed with Danny Elfman's music, and Nicholson's Joker crafted such excellence that is hard to beat. Then you have Dark Knight. The only part of Dark Knight's score that was memorable was the Joker's little screeching guitar whenever his plans were in action. I can elate on more misgivings I had in the Dark Knight, but that's spoiler territory. Major spoiler territory. I don't see why all you guys are getting so pissed though. I'm not trashing the movie, it was really good. I went in thinking I was going to be bored out of my mind, and in that I was absolutely wrong. In the franchise, I still enjoy Batman more, but only Batman is outranking this one.

I was bored by Batman Begins... sorry? I actually heard very little about Dent, so little that I felt his role would be akin to Billy Dee William's original role with a minor love triangle tacked on. But the amount of presence he actually received was a surprise (and a welcome one). Ledger did a good job too, but I still feel Hamil aced the Joker's voice, while Nicholson mastered the look and laugh. Ledger was sadistically insane, but he had neither that Joker look nor sound (he never did a real Joker laugh for one), and so for me it was like seeing an entirely new villain. Was he bad? No, Hell no. But he wasn't the best either, and definitely not Oscar material. No one should ever be getting "nods" before a film's official release, ever. It screams bias and hype. That's the big area where the rest of the cast, who did fantastic, were unfairly overshadowed.

I can't help with your YouTube problem, but man... that's a really good remix. Did you put the MP3 up anywhere for download?
-
So you're saying Begins is better than Dark Knight? Think before being a smart ass, Atmuh.

No thanks, or at least not this weekend, nor the next few. It was good, to be sure, and worlds better than Begins (which I didn't like), but there is no way this movie met the hype the internet prescribed it. Also, best role in the movie... Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent. Poor guy lost out in the hype because his co-star died. And Lucius Fox still kicks all levels of ass.

Jet Force Gemini had death matches and a few other fairly unique multiplayer modes for a third person shooter. It also had FLOYD, a flying co-op drone with unlimited ammo. It's not really remembered for those modes though, just the insane levels, weapons, bosses, and the fact that no one played it. It was the first Rare game I can remember hitting the bargain bin very, very quickly.

Man, I haven't rented a game in a long time. The last one may have been... the Two Towers beat'em up for GameCube, and even then, that was a rare occasion. Although with Wii control schemes being quite slipshod and a gamble, renting titles I'm interested in might be worth looking into again.

That's why I hate people who just post stuff as is, or say they made it with such'N'such a program, which turns out to be some type of ripping/recording device. They think they're getting off scott free since they technically never took credit for the remix (or flash in Newgrounds examples) itself. It suddenly becomes everyone else's fault that they thought the user made the original material. Once caught, he can just say "I never took credit." Always. Always credit stuff you put in your videos, especially when the video was made to highlight something, like a remix. It's rude and ignorant if you don't and it needs to stop. Since notoriety with his friends is probably a goal, should we PM his friends list on YouTube with the truth. It's a small list, and some of them have praised "his" material. If the mods get the videos taken down, he can probably give them other reasons and escape guilt for what he did.

Awesome! Suddenly all the disappointment from yesterday slowly starts to lift. Slowly.

I'm hoping some neat stuff shows up on the floor show. It won't make up for the let down felt today, but it could help having some amazing Wii Ware titles to look forward too post Mega Man 9.

Nope. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6193730.html

What? But he was at Nintendo's conference too.

I didn't mind the lack of DL content, but we couldn't even get the proper World Tour mode with create a character. Are they that fucking lazy? GHWT is promising (so far) that the Wii won't be left out. For Wii owners (and PS2 owners) Rock Band sucks. Which is tragic. Back on track though, Wii Music is too little too late. I'm tired of Nintendo's stupid tech demos. Fun and amusing for a little while, but not something to bank a press conference on.

Seriously, the last thing the Wii needs at the moment is another Mario sports title. The fact that one wasn't announced I guess is a plus. But the Wii's roster is looking rather dry, and they failed to put anything new or exciting on the board. Even the MotionPlus was only tacked onto yet another Wii tech demo passing off as a game.

Thank you for reading, Leet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard the Final Fantasy base in America rivals the Japanese base. Here, Final Fantasy is the ultimate series for RPGs, while in Japan it's Dragon Quest. If this is indeed true, then Square Enix making this call makes a lot of sense in maximizing their reach to the fans. The PS3 may be crushing the 360 in Japan, but here that is by far not the case.

Oh My God This is such an event as shall be spoken of for generation upon generation.

Interesting. I guess we'll see what this is really capable of fairly soon. And, yes, integrating the sensor into all future Wiimotes is pretty critical for this to succeed. If it's too expensive, it'll be used about as much as the Power Pad and Super Scope were.

Three things: ED-209, in all its inept glory. Can't forget ED.

I think Rock Band will destroy Guitar Hero on everything but the Wii because of that oversight. We'll see if Harmonix will correct that or keep their "It's not possible" bullshit. They couldn't even give us the create a character stuff. As a sole Wii owner, it just doesn't make sense to support Rock Band, as great as it is.

Nintendo is running out of titles to look forward to as they seem to have played all their cards. I'm waiting to see what the Hell they can promise next to try and keep their lead.

Link! As for bridging the original series to X, I think an X game should explain it via flashback or something like that. As mentioned, if they explain it in the first series, then the first series will have been brought to its end. I'm fine with hinting that X and Zero are being built and stuff like that, but the grand mystery of what happens when it all goes down is best left either alone, or to the X series.

With the latest in Frank Miller matierial hitting the screen, I'm wondering if the famous Frank Miller's Robocop will get screen treatment. I'm also a bit worried about how they'll choose to do him. I'm hoping they don't opt out of the real live suit option.

Jack Thompson Threatened With Disbarment

Ah, that "lifetime" alteration is news to me. Very good news. -
It's classic NES Mega Man as we left him after 6, and so you've got a team more concerned at the moment with copying rather than innovating. If 9 does well, hopefully a Mega Man 10 will continue with tweaking and stylistic progression as if the series never jumped consoles.
