  1. You can suggest things to improve a remix regardless of whether it's intended for OCR postage or not. That being said, I just don't feel like doing so; I was just happy to point out this soundfont for you. Nice song; you should go back in time and do soundtracks for genesis games.
  2. You likeh makin my life harder, eh? Anywas (sounds like a car company), I liked the gameplay footage. Not commenting on physics, cuz I liked NSMBW. xD
  3. *looks at sig* Unless another guy has the same sig, then yeah he is.
  4. I kinda agree to an extent; the lead synth seemed kinda alone and bland compared to the dominant power of Shreddage guitars. But it's nothing ear piercing; the mix still rocks A LOT in general. Nice decisive battle riff at the end. d-(^^)-b
  5. Gee, you really think so?And I don't understand how you can counter this with the fact that Sega/ Sonic Team wasn't directly involved with development of some of those games, because they're not directly involved with the development of this game either. EDIT: In fact, your entire argument against Sega's ability to "make a well designed and implemented game in 10 years" is now irrelevant because we know that Sega is not developing it. Just sayin. EDIT 2: Didn't feel like responding to A and B because C was too funny to ignore.
  6. What if this is what the final physics engine is? Then your whole argument has no point, you've just become another fanboy who complains that Sonic isn't like what it was in the age of Sega Genesis. Just saying. You say that Sega isn't doing what they're saying; so what? Just because they say something doesn't mean they have to mean it; it could probably be a publicity stunt. So what if they're lying? It's not false advertisement; they didn't release the game. They never said it would feel exactly like an old Sonic game, and the only things that were definite was the 2D side scroller aspect (and they haven't lied there) What are you going to do about it? Not buy the game? I hardly think it matters to Sega what you think of their physics engine; like I said before, it just makes you a whiny fanboy who thinks just because he knows the process of prototyping he's automatically right compared to a company that's made quite a few video games. :/
  7. The music is nice and it's not busy or intense. It's got a nice, light-hearted feeling to it.
  8. Hey, remove my project from the list, please? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN HELP No, but seriously, I'm just running the project behind the scenes so if you get the chance just take mine off of there?
  9. Judging from Bahamut's previous post, I don't think you were supposed to say that. NOW THE APOCALYPSE WILL OCCUR BECAUSE YOU SAID THE SECRET AND... oh wait
  10. Hey, everyone. I just bought a cheap new electric guitar from First Act and I was hoping to get some advice on what the BEST way to self teach is. More specifically, whether I should learn scales first or chords first, what chords should I learn, what scales are easy for beginners, etc.? I'm sorry if this is a broad question, but I'd rather get some input from people who do the same thing I wanna do; use electric guitar in video game remixes.
  11. I take it what I told you to do didn't work? I would give up on finding a lead guitar VST for the genre of the mix you're doing, and get help from someone. Unfortunately I'm still exploring the basics of my new guitar and won't be able to play anything melody-tastic anytime soon.
  12. BUT MAKE THE DIRECTWAVE SHREDDAGE FIIRST! ...but you don't have to if you don't want to. xD
  13. Awwwww... Forget it, then. I'm not allowed to spend big money (anything over 20 dollars is what my family considers big money) I'll buy it in the future, but for now I'll stick with asking people for collabs. Just asking; are you going to make your own VST for this in the future?
  14. Thanks for confirming. That's it; I'm buying this... eventually. My birthday's not for another 10 months. T_T
  15. So it's possible to use this with the Kontakt Player? Will the samples themselves require more processor performance, or does that depend on the sampler (i.e. running the jazz guitar sample from KONTAKT free library will take same amount of processing power as one of these beast guitar samples)? I didn't see any system requirements up on the Shreddage product page, so if I can run the samples I really wanna get it. Also, since it's just rhythm guitars, I'm assuming it's not very easy to get a solo lead guitar sound out of this; am I right?
  16. Done - That was an interesting survey. It had a lot of aspects about a game to consider.
  17. Happy not birthday anymore! I mean Happy Belated Birthday. ...Yeah that's the right one... (Sorry I saw the thread last night but I couldn't respond because I was doing robot stuff)
  18. I know that this guy is an epic win with sax playing. ^^
  19. I can name a handful of people who can make good-sounding music with soundfonts. *cough* Nutritious *cough*
  20. Happy Birthday, man. ... wait. Why do you get a birthday thread when I didn't? You're gettin ooooold.
  21. Yeah, good OCR music is better than some of the music I've heard in Sonic's latest games. (Sonic Unleashed had a good soundtrack, but it was too much rock-ish orchestral)
