Hey, everyone. I just bought a cheap new electric guitar from First Act and I was hoping to get some advice on what the BEST way to self teach is. More specifically, whether I should learn scales first or chords first, what chords should I learn, what scales are easy for beginners, etc.? I'm sorry if this is a broad question, but I'd rather get some input from people who do the same thing I wanna do; use electric guitar in video game remixes.

I take it what I told you to do didn't work? I would give up on finding a lead guitar VST for the genre of the mix you're doing, and get help from someone. Unfortunately I'm still exploring the basics of my new guitar and won't be able to play anything melody-tastic anytime soon.

Awwwww... Forget it, then. I'm not allowed to spend big money (anything over 20 dollars is what my family considers big money) I'll buy it in the future, but for now I'll stick with asking people for collabs. Just asking; are you going to make your own VST for this in the future?

So it's possible to use this with the Kontakt Player? Will the samples themselves require more processor performance, or does that depend on the sampler (i.e. running the jazz guitar sample from KONTAKT free library will take same amount of processing power as one of these beast guitar samples)? I didn't see any system requirements up on the Shreddage product page, so if I can run the samples I really wanna get it. Also, since it's just rhythm guitars, I'm assuming it's not very easy to get a solo lead guitar sound out of this; am I right?

Yeah, good OCR music is better than some of the music I've heard in Sonic's latest games. (Sonic Unleashed had a good soundtrack, but it was too much rock-ish orchestral)

Yep, I was responding to his "I'd rather have high quality wav's".

WAV's take a lot of space, and I don't think the difference between the sound quality of a wav and a FLAC is that noticeable. I can't even tell between a 192 kbps mp3 and a wav. :/ And why make the listener do it? That seems awfully lazy to just make the people do it instead of the people on the project doing it.

Oh, I thought Sega pulled his name out because of the scandal (not aware of what happened first, Sonic 3 or the scandal) Anyways, I'd totally wanna participate on this project (if it ever actually happened)
