Hey everyone! I'm hanging out at ArenaNet -- the developers of Guild Wars 2 -- today, and I will be on Guild Chat on their Twitch channel at 12pm PST. We'll be talking about their game-within-a-game Super Adventure Box, and my music's inclusion into the game will likely come up as well.
I'll be repping OCR there too, so if you can, stop by and check it out!

Lotta hate
No hate, I'm actually a huge Hayter fan. But Sutherland is a better fit for an older character like Big Boss imo.
-
My friend and I were in agreement that Hayter being replaced by Sutherland was going to be an upgrade.
I say all of that in the past tense because Sutherland had like a paragraph's worth of dialogue in MGSV, so that was kind of disappointing.

Let's spice it up now, because there's actually a contest going on right now to remix a specific song from the game for prizes.

Go and win prizes! And make music!
Holy crap, thank you for alerting me to this.

Played a few fun matches with NutS last night. If anyone else wants to help me not be trash at this game, my FID is ItStartsAtDusK.

OCR's basically the only reason I know how to make music tbh.
-
I heard they basically released it early to cater to some gamers' request to practice for some upcoming tournament. Not sure how much truth there is to that. Regardless, I'll be waiting until the game has arcade and story modes before getting it.

As an aside, I'll be looking for a female vocalist that can hammer out a rock-solid operatic Latin section. Anyone know anyone?
-
Taking Callum's advice, I'd like to claim "Premonition".

That's just because I have a BlackWidow.
Liking this because my roommates HATE that I have a BlackWidow.

I'm honored to have my remix lead in the album this year.
Great job, everyone.

I'm almost done with my track for this.

I must be stupid to add something to my plate during holiday season while I'm working retail.
Give me "Hand in Hand".
-
Bumping this because I don't really know how the mods check for mod reviews on the new forum system and I'm starting to wonder if this was seen.
-
I'd be all over it tbh, though albums are a hard thing for me to do now thanks to life stuff.

Trying to get some feedback on this, primarily on mastering and suggestions on ways to clean it up a bit, before submitting it.
Update: Tweaked it a little more after critical listening. Pretty sure I'm done with it, but could still use some input on the mastering. Does it sound too loud?

Huge thanks to Usa and NutS for carrying the dead weight. I knew I'd be busy and I accepted Paul's invite anyway.

Sadly, Soundcloud has a similar limit on a per track basis. So I'm still looking for the ideal platform to do this free-but-you-can-donate thing whilst I get started.
For me, at least, that solution is still Bandcamp. I just chuck a mirror to the album in the file description so that if I am out of free credits, people can still get the album for free.

Man, if that compression in the master was the only beef with it, I could've fixed it. I've gotten a lot better with it, and it's a really quick fix. As Bill Clinton once wisely said, "It'd take like a minute".

I pledge to make my kicks twice as clicky.

Don't worry, Shadix. I'm on that team too, so it all balances out.
1. Boomer Kuwanger (X)
2. Flame Mammoth (X)3. Gravity Beetle (X3)
4. Blast Hornet (X3)5. Storm Eagle (X)

At long last, I have finally released my second entry in the Hardcore Adventure Box series. This cover EP pays tribute to ArenaNet's retro throwback game-within-a-game, Super Adventure Box, and its soundtrack composed by Maclaine Diemer, Lena Chappelle, and Keenan Sieg.
If you haven't yet, also check out the first EP!

Looks like there's a little dust left to take care of, but I'm liking it so far.

Here's the YouTube upload of the livestream. I'm in the second half, along with game composer Maclaine Diemer.
It was a blast being down there.
