In that case, I come back to my first statement. Well, anyway, welcome back. I'm not one to welcome you back, being that I've only been aware of OCR for about 3 years now and haven't reached Welcoming Committee Member status, and being that I don't know who you are and neither do you know who I am. Ok then.. moving on... lol.

I'm very interested in what you have to say, i mean, as remix ideas, er, i mean.. uh,. JUS' GIMME SOME FREE MUSIC!!11one!1! On a more serious note, what games are you interested in remixing now? I looked at your previous remixes and they're of music from obscure titles. Are you still keeping your options open, have you already started on a mix, are you going to remix classic games or have you been playing some new gen games that have piqued your interest?

Who knows why we need another, but a search of soulinether and yousef reda proved that Google knows me better. However, Cuil is obsessed with a youtube video I uploaded, and so are a ton of other useless sites as well.

The 1:29-1:40 transitiony-breakdown-i-don't-know-what-the-hell-to-call-it-thing is nice. Keeps things fresh. Fresher, I mean, because this piece is pretty fresh. I thought the last minute of the piece felt somewhat long, and I think I was somewhat expectant that the song would pick up again or something. But I thought the closing was strong. (btw, it sounds bigger/better than the other mixes i've heard from you so far, and it makes me want to go and buy bloodlines and complete it, something i've never done)

I'm gonna agree, I think it's a bit quiet, and (I think) especially the lows need to be made louder. Jacked up my sound a bit and upped the bass and it sounded better to me. but... I don't know the judges' prerogatives and opinions as well as Rozovian seems to, lol. Hell, I don't know much.

Interesting, all my colleges/universities left it open until May 1 or April 30th... (currently regretting not haven chosen UCLA).

(remember take my opinion with a grain of salt since i couldn't pull off anything like if i tried and I have no idea how valuable what i have to say is) Played this right after symbiotix's WIP/"Finished" MM2 Intro rave mix, and what struck me about this is that it sounds pretty centered, whereas his mix felt like it was more wide or.. "full." Rozovian commented on your IceCap Zone similarly in that it needed to be spread out - I'm not familiar with this genre, but I'd say if this mix sounded more spread out, it would sound ... better? Again. Grain of salt...

It's 15 megs (zipped; GIMP doesn't seem to export too nicely), lacks text info, and some of the layer modes didn't export quite right, but i'm sure you can figure it out no problem. ... and i wonder if it has path info. (no, it doesn't :/, and i used some paths for the text and stuff so.. .yeah) I'm sure you can do something better with it, in any case. I'm not exactly known for my sound artistic abilities. Well, I contacted dish, and he's going to get me the finished lineart / sketch / shaded / whatever-he-defines-as-completed drawing at somepoint. It should look a little more clean... I've added in the "Super Metroid" but there is a notable lack of tildes in the font I am using. Is it absolutely necessary to include it in the title? I can always just take it from another font.

ok... here's my first attempt at a cover. Spent 4 hours in the GIMP, and if there's one thing I must say, IT DESPERATELY NEEDS FOLDERS FOR LAYERS. Seriously. Me too, and I'm starting to work on it right now. Unfortunately, the scan is really .. small. I'll try to contact the artist for a higher res shot.. or i'll just make do with this.

What if it's one of those odd remixes that end up going to a tie that requires djp to break? (psst, Pezman, just make sure your mix includes tons of awkward subliminal messages, including, but not necessarily including or limited to, "dave i want to bear your children," "dave is awesome," "pretzels are my favorite snacks," etc)

Well, they have in the past initiated lockdowns, going through all the remixes to find what was low quality / midi sequences + drums or the like, I seem to recall. Who knows. But... I think that the old remixes serve as a nice marker to show how far this site has come in regards to sonic and arrangement quality.
