I hope everyone is enjoying the Sonic Bracket Round 1 match-ups! There was quite a wide variety of tracks submitted! I just wanted to remind everyone that when voting, you need to place a vote in each match-up for the round in order for your votes to count. This includes participants as well: you need to place a vote in your own match-up. Thanks! I'm really looking forward to seeing what the Robotnik Bracket puts out this week. There are some really interesting combos! Let's go for NO drops!!! -

OK! The Sonic Bracket Round 1 music is up!!! There were 14 entries: Arrow and Brandon Strader did not complete a mix. The first post of the thread has been updated with a link as well. The voting will take place in the SZRC Social Group, so be sure to join that group so you can place your votes. Voting Guidelines are in the first post of this thread as well. Voting will remain open until Sunday, February 9th at 12pm (noon) ET. The winners will move on to the next round and face their next opponent! Please remember, voters need to vote in EVERY MATCH-UP for that round for their votes to count. Robotnik Bracket Round 1 entries are due on Sunday, February 9th at 12pm (noon) ET. Good luck!

OK! It's Noon!! I just got Jason's track, so I'll be preparing the Sonic Bracket entries for downloading right now. 14 entries were submitted. Expect them in about 30 mins or so. The Robotnik Bracket Round 1 match-ups are announced in the first post graphic! Go get em!!!

5 mins left. Just need Jason's track. I got Cash, jnWake's and Ivan Hakstok's. No problem, those types of issues are unexpected and there's not much you can do about them I'm sorry you weren't able to get it in!

I've received tracks from Xenonetix, Disambiguity, Sir_NutS, and ladyWildfire. Which puts us at 10 tracks total so far. I still need tracks from Jason Covenant, Arrow, Ivan Hakstok, Cash, jnWake, and Brandon Strader. You guys still have 1 hour!!! The Robotnik Round 1 match-ups will be announced at this time too! It sounded like Arrow and Brandon weren't going to be able to turn something in, so that just leaves us with the other 4, if so! Like I've said before I highly encourage people to turn in a WIP still even if your song isn't finished. It's better to at least turn something in for these match-ups instead of dropping out. Good luck Jason! It's a bummer to hear you were losing your voice, I hope you get something in! I'm sorry you were having issues Jarel So it sounds like you can't even get a render of what you had started off your other machine?

I completed my track earlier today and I received tracks from Amphibious, Trism, and DJ Max-E tonight, so that makes 6 total so far. 10 to go! You guys have roughly 12 hours left before the deadline tomorrow!!! Aww man, I hope you can work through the computer issues Jarel! Good luck!

It's still worthwhile to turn something in, even if it is a rough WIP. Especially after spending a week working on something, it's no fun to drop out and let your opponent advance by default . The same thing happens in a lot of compos, so I'd encourage everyone to turn something in!

My song is pretty much done too - just polishing right now! I didn't care for my track when I first started making it, but it's become a pretty fun song, in my opinion. A little more upbeat than my normal songs. Aww, sorry you didn't have as much time as expected. But yeah, an entry is still an entry!! I'm still excited to hear how you handled our two sources!

Just about 24 hours until mixes are due for Round 1 of the Sonic Bracket! Round 1 of the Robotnik Bracket will begin at the same time! Sunday, February 2nd at 12pm (noon) ET! I hope everyone is making good progress! I just got Ryan Jobson's song for Round 1. 2 down!

All the rules are pretty much the same as the last SZRC. Single elimination style tournament. One week mixing rounds followed by one week voting rounds. Winner moves on to the next round and will make a new mix. You're in the Robotnik Bracket which will begin mixing this Sunday, February 2nd at 12pm (noon) ET. Match-ups will be announced at that time. Mixes will be due the following Sunday at the same time! Thanks for joining on such short notice!

So yeah, just to confirm: urdailywater is taking the place of Funk Fiction in the Robotnik Bracket and will have Chemical Plant (Sonic 2) as his zone theme! The Roster Spreadsheet has been updated.
