  1. It looks like he hasn't posted since last year, but his last activity according to his profile (look in the top right corner there) was just in July... Very fishy indeed.
  2. Wrong you are, my friend. Tragic Prince is featured quite prominently in this remix from that month: http://dod.vgmix.com/past/oct07/05-Scaredsim,BrouHounF-Medley-Kill-DoD.mp3 Also, an oldie but goodie: http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/decjan04/01%20-%20Ryan8bit%20-%20Castlevania%20SotN%20-%20Alucard%20Risen.mp3
  3. Don't worry, 90% of the soundtrack seems to be ripped from the original Symphonia anyway (and there's even a few Phantasia tracks around). I'll see what's good, though. Here's a ridiculous fact: The soundtrack doesn't have Fighting of the Spirit. Seriously, Namco. You fucked up on that one. And no Fatalize, either.
  4. An interesting proposal, Larry. I am procuring said soundtrack as we speak, but I honestly can't say for sure. It would be good to add to the anticipation of the game, though. We shell sea.
  5. Well, I'll be damned. I wasn't expecting DQD out so soon... Welp, looks like we're on point! Let's see what we can do.
  6. Try these on for size: http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/feb05/07%20XMark-DragonSpirit-Arisha-DoD.mp3 http://virt.vgmix.com/music/arrange/virt_-_dragon_spirit_-_wings_of_gold.mp3
  7. A. Thank you for your support. B. Our current site is here. It will change exponentially for the release. It looks like the link to Beyond Absentminded is currently broken on that site. I'll look into it, but for now, you can still grab it right here. And of course djp's track is right here at OCR. C. Absolutely, we made banners specifically for that purpose and suggest anyone who wants to promote the project to use them.
  8. Goat did Dreadful Fight looooooong ago: http://powergoat.com/Music/goat%20-%20Last%20Man%20Standing(Final%20Fantasy%204j).mp3
  9. Not quite as untapped as you might think: http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/decjan06/07-FlextoneJunkie-FFMQ-Shrugs-DoD.mp3 http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/jun05/08%20AudioFoundations-FFMQ-Doom-DoD.mp3 http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/jan08/19tie-Dennis-FFMQ-Time-DoD.mp3 http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/may07/21tie-BrianDavis-FFMQ-Pyramid-ICE-DoD.mp3 http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/mayjun04/02%20-%20Ashane%20-%20Final%20Fantasy%20Mystic%20Quest%20-%20Medley.mp3 And a few other miscellaneous arrangements I have laying around are here: http://kngi.org/miscstuff/ffmq/ Not to mention the two arrangements by Ryuji Sasai available on the official soundtrack. Oh, and this which I sadly cannot find a download link to.
  10. The main project songs will be 5 terabytes alone. That's not taking into account the bonus content, which currently adds another 2 terabytes (and is growing as we plan more awesome stuff). Break out those supercomputers!
  11. There are a few Duke remixes about. MusicallyInspired did a cover of the title theme for a DoD entry quite awhile ago, and CarboHydroM also covered it. housethegrate covered a song from Duke Nukem 2 on his album (which is quite possibly one of the finest video game arrangement albums of all time and should be picked up immediately by anyone that doesn't have a copy. It's well worth the $10. Yes, I'm serious! Get it now!). And of course, Megadeth covered the Duke 3D theme for 3D Realms' Duke-inspired compilation "Music to Score By".
  12. No, because the suave, smooth intelligent guy will be smart enough to research and understand both sides of the argument, and likely wouldn't go on the same blind crusade Thompson did.
  13. FLAC and MP3 is the plan. I have all of the waves, so a lossless release is entirely doable.
  14. It is. The listing here is slightly outdated...
  15. The Dwelling of Duels competition has had many entries (particularly Mega Man and Final Fantasy during the Free Months) along those lines, if you're into rock arrangements. I'll pull out some examples: BrainCells - FireMetal Prince of Darkness - Zero Light Vegeroth - Robotic Demise norg - Black Ice Ryan8bit - Stab The Earth And of course: Mega Man Month (This was 2004, so some of these tracks are quite old. Keep that in mind. ) VGMix also sees quite a few tracks that are more straight covers rather than remixes, although both VGMix and DoD have a good amount of arranged remixes as well.
  16. I've tried adding questions and other forms of stopping them like that. It helped for quite awhile, but this new registration onslaught I've been getting lately is particularly vicious. They're all registering using popular email addresses like gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. etc. otherwise I'd just ban the domain names of the email they're using. It's crazy.
  17. Due to the incessant amount of spambot registration, I've decided to close new user registration on the project forums. The amount of legitimate users registering right now during this lull in activity is probably about 1 in every 200 or so, if that. I figure everyone who has wanted/needed to register (such as project remixers) at this point already has, but if you're from elsewhere and really want to register, contact me and I'll set you up. Registration will be reopened after the SoS project has been released. (So never then! HAH!)
  18. Daytona USA? Have you no soul? Mitsuyoshi is a genius on every level. How could you even contemplate nominating it for "Worst Soundtrack"? And hey, Cruis'n USA wasn't that bad. Better than San Francisco Rush, at least.
  19. Quit using it? CRAZY. I'm so used to black OCR that the white makes me go blind.
  20. A UN Squadron remix from Prozax was removed from the site ages ago. You can find it here. There's also this one, from the Dwelling of Duels June 2007 competition. Sprite Slowdown also did a medley on their self-titled album.
  21. What is it with dudes with the name Pascal? Why must they rock so much?
