  1. SEGA has a good track record with porting classics. Daytona USA for XBLA/PSN was outstanding.
  2. Super Mario RPG has some remake potential.
  3. This thread is now about games Square should remake that aren't named Final Fantasy. Where's 3D World Runner?
  4. C-jeff is incredible. Let it be known!
  5. Man, who cares? We all know, deep in our hearts, that all we really want from Square is a Rad Racer remake.
  6. Yes, Mega Ran has a license to use Capcom's music. Same with The Megas, and same with OCR, and probably the same with other Capcom-related musicians. Capcom is usually pretty cool with fanmade arrangements (except apparently that one time I referenced earlier.)
  7. This is true, which makes it really interesting that there are massive conventions in Japan dedicated to the sale of fan creations of copyrighted works and that legal action is still very rare in spite of that. It's been made pretty clear that most companies don't seem to be threatened by it except in a few cases, so it's hard to pinpoint a line in just how far fair use can be taken.
  8. Wrong. Capcom of Japan reportedly sent out several C&Ds to doujin artists for some Rockman arrange albums a few years ago. It is extremely rare for it to happen, but there is a precedence.
  9. The listening party begins RIGHT NOW on Arecibo Radio! http://areciboradio.com
  10. Today kicked off NGI's month long VERSUS event, where myths and legends musically collide! Today it was Pirates vs. Ninjas. Next week? COWBOYS VS. ALIENS. If you head on over to the website, you can vote for your favorites in these epic battles! ALSO, tomorrow is a very special Monday edition of GameFuel, featuring the unveiling of halc's new original album: Hydrocity! It will be released during the show, so be sure to tune in at 7:30 PM Eastern Time and be among the first to hear it!
  11. Have you done Neoclassical Punk Zydeco Rockabilly yet?
  12. Nope, that's everything I have. I don't think Snap ever finished it.
  13. He absolutely should give any money he made over to the site, but of course that'll never happen. The guy is a scumbag and did a horrible thing, and fought tooth and nail to cover it up. But should his mom have really been involved? From what I read the guy was 21; a little late to be going and telling mommy about what her kid is doing. It worked and it's over, but I really hope tracking down family members and harassing them over what their kid is doing on the internet doesn't become the regular thing that happens in these cases. Frankly I don't really care if he got in trouble with his mom or not over this; I'm just concerned OCRAPS might be overreaching and overreacting. Maybe some official procedures to be taken when it comes to theft should be established and posted on the site instead of just making it a vigilante justice free-for-all. OCR takes pride in being professional; shouldn't that extend to everything involving the site?
  14. It was probably a bit of an overreaction to drag the guys' parents into it. I can understand being upset because this guy was selling your stuff, but I think he got the message before anyone tattled on him to his mother. Regardless, nice work Larry and the OCRAPS.
  15. No BlazBlue around (aside from the one OC ReMix) but there is a TON of Guilty Gear out there. I'm actually surprised at just how many remixes of it I have. Of course I can't vouch for the quality of any of this stuff, but I've found at least some of it enjoyable: http://kngi.org/private/miscstuff/guiltygear/ Of course, I definitely wouldn't mind hearing more. Daisuke Ishiwatari is one of my favorite guitarists out there.
  16. Damn, this guy was thorough. I didn't realize just how much he'd stolen.
  17. Probably because Teen Agent doesn't have the same name recognition as Sonic, Mega Man, Mario, and Final Fantasy.
  18. He probably deleted everything when he realized we figured it out.
  19. Well, I regularly browse Bandcamp's VGM-related releases, and I also follow Nitouhei, a Japanese VGM fan who blogs about the releases of the western game music communities, which is were I saw this. He's a great guy who usually makes some excellent suggestions, so I'm 99% sure he didn't realize these were rips from OCR and just wanted to share some good music with his followers. I've already let him know in a comment on his blog and on Twitter, so hopefully he'll make mention of it in his next update. That said, I am totally down with Mega Man X/Sonic crossovers.
  20. http://develon.bandcamp.com/album/the-legend-of-super-zero-the-hedghehog Yep. I don't recognize all of the tracks, but most of these are OCReMixes.
  21. Hey man, when you host a video game review show, game consoles are a worthwhile investment.
  22. Hopefully this means the next Playstation won't cost FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE US DOLLARS
