Assassin's Creed III: The American Revolution?
Modus replied to Moomba's topic in General Discussion
Oh right, Revelations was in Istanbul. Similar to Rome in some ways but not near a shocking change as the Revolutionary War. Arguing with you is not very fun, nebby. Try to tone down the passive aggressiveness. Or don't and I'll ignore you. Either works for me. -
Assassin's Creed III: The American Revolution?
Modus replied to Moomba's topic in General Discussion
Some games fatigue faster than others. AC leans heavily on its setting and draws everything it does from it. Rome, awesome as it is, eventually felt played out. So if they aren't going to get more creative with their gameplay, it's time to change settings. To their credit, it's hard to push the gameplay much further in the action genre. Not really the deepest pool to swim in. -

I'm so fucking pumped for this. I didn't play Revelations because it was the same old. This... is anything but same old. -
finished Airship Theme - For an imaginary 16bit game
Modus replied to slinwyeg's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Well I'm obligated to comment on any airship-related tracks. I'm just that obsessed with them. Very nice. Reminds me of the FF2/FF3 era. I mean this is literally something I'd expect to hear in the game. I think you nailed exactly what you were going for. edit: If you feel like critiquing my recent airship track, I'd love to hear your feedback. -
I think the last Pocket Mon game I finished was Silver. My friends... my friend won't leave me alone about getting back into it. EV training sounds really fun. Really fun..

Happy Birfday Ashamee, Malaki-LEGEND.sys, Modus, and Calum, too!!
Modus replied to Mirby's topic in General Discussion
That's freaky, so many at once. Mine is actually the 28th, but that's within two days. I think we're destined to become the Four Warriors of Light, and we should go on an RPG adventure. We can make a Mega64 style video out of it. or just eat cake. -

Happy birthday to both of you! (and me >.>) -
Same boat as me, no worries. It's been a year and a half and only now am I looking into synthesis. Presets can do some great things, but eventually you'll want greater freedom. Just depends what your goals are, how far you want to take your music, etc.

finished Air3s - Sunset (Preview)
Modus replied to SonicThHedgog's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Yeah but only a little. I do that all the time.. start a remix and it wanders off into some sort of original. -

Nice, I like the theming here. It's so warm and sunsetty. Do you have any tips for getting a piano sample to sound like yours? I've tried to make a sharp piano sound like that before but it never seems to work. -
Boy those samples sound familiar. Is it Nexus?

Cool, I changed the genre. Glad my track helped someone out there burn a few more calories. That offsets the weight I gained sitting on my ass making it

Bookmarking for future reference. I like the way you do cartoony pieces.

Something about watching a drummer do his thing, is awesome. Bonus points for the Muse poster for sure. Subbed.

[RECRUITING] Skies of Arcadia Project
Modus replied to electric concerto's topic in Recruit & Collaborate!
Right, another option. If electric concerto accepts you as a remixer, I'll shoot you a PM. -

Ick,a dilemma. Battle 2 is going to be a highly contested track, but it's my favorite. I could reserve it now, right? But I'd feel sort of bad because there are a lot of better remixers out there. SkyRiderX, are you pretty passionate about doing Battle 2? If so, and you make the cut, let's start a dialogue through PM and we'll just come to an agreement between the two of us. I prefer negotiation over competition. -

Yes, and let us not forget the ultra-soothing . -
I love Hero Academy so much that I made some terrible memepics. http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/Bubble_Bobble_Bibble_Babble/prescrollin.jpg http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/Bubble_Bobble_Bibble_Babble/crystaldefenders.jpg http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/Bubble_Bobble_Bibble_Babble/familymatters.jpg http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/Bubble_Bobble_Bibble_Babble/endwell.jpg http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/Bubble_Bobble_Bibble_Babble/chainspooled.jpg

A Realm Reborn: Final Fantasy XIV Online
Modus replied to Malaki-LEGEND.sys's topic in General Discussion
Awwww, I forgot about that one. The nostalgia is so intense it makes me sad :[ -
I actually don't see it as a big deal to tell the truth. The default quality is... acceptable. If I want higher, I can usually find it on the artist's website. If not, I've never been turned down after asking the artist directly for an HQ version. Did that a couple times. Heck, artists have given me their project files and samples every time I've asked XD

A Realm Reborn: Final Fantasy XIV Online
Modus replied to Malaki-LEGEND.sys's topic in General Discussion
... really? I honestly don't want to play this game if that's true. In FFXI, I was used to playing with lots of married couples, home owners, people starting their careers, etc. I'll take a look myself, but I doubt these bad eggs represent the community as a whole. Or I really hope not. @Moomba: I missed a window marked as "basic service", which costs 699 Crysta on top of the character charge. Good to see Square learned absolutely nothing from their last convoluted account management system, PlayOnline. is the only reason I liked PlayOnline. -
