  1. Eh, I would have to disagree... it's a pretty crappy game. But hey, to each his own.
  2. What is people's problem with that? It's totally video game music and it totally is low quality and the vocals are uh... yeah a bit painful but I mean not a poop track. As for Sonic Shuffle, I remember a couple of odd tracks but some of it was cool. I love how we're generally sticking with Sega music here, despite the fact I think Sonic had some of the coolest music of any series for a really long time. In fact, he still does. I mean, there are a lot of people that still say that despite the fact a lot of Sonic games sucks, usually the music is still appreciated. Sonic '06's soundtrack was not amazing, but 100 times better than the game. Sonic 3D Blast has a stellar soundtrack (especially the Saturn version) despite being a pretty crappy game. Some may say differently, but that game sucked pretty badly for me.
  3. He may know about ocremix. Some people don't prefer to have their stuff on ocremix but instead just have it on SoundCloud or YouTube. It's whatever. I look everywhere for game remixes if I'm in the mood, not just here. But this is a fabulous hosting site for it, most definitely. hahaha
  4. There is a lot of popular music now that people claim sounds like "Sonic," aka the Genesis sound (Sonic just represented it, basically). Honestly, I think it's more of just super biased retro gamers. There's nothing wrong with the sound of the Genesis; it sounded far sexier than the SNES and its more "realistic" sounds. SNES's bass and drum sounds were far too soft. Genesis actually sounded hard and really cool and sexy and stuff. Most musicians I know that also have an appreciation for games or once played games usually prefer Genesis over SNES when it comes to the sound. I think it's just stupid biased retro gamers being stupid biased retro gamers, or just what they grew up with.
  5. does the cake taste like the burger. that'd be nice. happy birthday.
  6. The Knuckles stuff on SA2 was way cooler. Holy crap that brings back a lot of nostalgia and memories... The lyrics from the SA1 Knuckles theme were retarded but my GAWD that drum track. The drummer and bassist for that track were just stellar. You know in 1998 that Sonic Team ain't messing around when they record theme songs in a real deal studio with professional studio musicians. I remember my professional-session-drummer-dad (haha) walking in hearing that theme and being like "man, who drummed on this?" The SA2 Knuckles theme I think makes a bit more sense, though. But the rapper in SA2 sounds absolutely nothing like Knuckles hahaha It's actually pretty sweet how well rap background music worked into the game. Just vocal songs at that, considering "Escape from the City," which was a really silly song but nevertheless a fitting one that I enjoyed. Hahaha "Kick the Rock" is definitely one of my favorites of those rap songs, though. That one and "Space Trip Steps." Space Trip Steps is soooo video-gamey and yet sooo late 90s.
  7. Well I'm more referring to the soundtrack, but I understand. 3D Sonic games I honestly don't think got bad up until around Sonic Heroes. Even Sonic Heroes wasn't too bad. It was by the Shadow the Hedgehog game that they blew it. But uh, yeah, the cutscenes in Sonic Adventure are uh... yeah. Oh come on. Most of it was ambient but there were some cool tracks in there that were... actually music... ha
  8. Since when did people start hating on Sonic Adventure 1 and 2? That's totally new news to me. I've never heard that from anyone before. I personally love both, especially Sonic Adventure 2. The Sonic game with the soundtrack to be hated on is uh... "Don't you feel that sometimes, you should stop making gaaaaaames"
  9. Seen that one too. Hilarious. Felt slightly bad for watching it, but it's freaking hilarious.
  10. http://www.gamnesia.com/news/philips-is-sueing-nintendo-asking-for-wii-u-sales-ban-and-damages#.U3Th-l6fi3B lol
  11. Yeah... unfortunately I'm on such a time crunch that June 10 does not look like it'll work for me. Wish the deadline was a few weeks later. :/ Oh well. Someone else take the track I was originally gonna do, cuz it's awesome (It's the Super Mario Land overworld theme). Can't wait to see what happens with this project, though.
  12. What is the absolute latest you guys can get the mixes? I'm pretty busy but still kinda want to be on this.
  13. Oh wow ok. I stand corrected. Wii still won, but I guess it's been a pretty long time since I've looked at the sales count. As for the new policies, I don't agree with them. Granted, while I like new things and changes (I hate making a game and adding a couple new things and slapping a new number on the box... ahem *cough* CoD *cough*), I'm actually pretty sentimental. I'm more obsessed with the older days of gaming. I like it simple. Which is what frustrates me about these new ideas. They get so complex and there's just too much. Make a game. Put it on a console. Switch it on. The game immediately pops up. Start playing. Take it to friends' houses. The end. Let's go back to that. That was amazing.
  14. Haha see, I've got a Wii U, but I've got it for Nintendo stuff. And from all the first-party games I've looked into, there are none that *require* the gamepad. It's funny, everyone laughed at the Wii despite the fact it sold practically double what the Xbox 360 sold, and the Xbox 360 came second. So even if the Wii U ultimately fails, they farted money with the Wii, so they're covered for quite a bit. You're probably right, I bet everyone will eventually follow after the gamepad theory. However, like I said, the Wii was killer successful. Wii U, on the other hand, is currently not. Honestly I find it super unfortunate with the whole "graphics or get out" thing. I have a pretty young brother who unfortunately has been influenced by this idea. He claims he saw a game with such horribly done graphics that he couldn't even play it. I was honestly depressed. It's the game that counts. Honestly, noticing how Microsoft is really listening to its audience, I think they're making a good move. I originally bashed pretty harshly on the Xbone, but by this point they've fixed it up enough I'm ok with it. I won't get it, though. Too much money for me. Hahahaha
  15. While he's getting annoying as hell with his bashing around the Wii U, he's got a point. By this point, I fear there may be no going back on some games. If the game DEPENDS on the gamepad, then you've got an issue. But all the games I'm aware of have both the option of the gamepad and the pro controller or Wii controller. I think it is possible, but it may cost the loss of some games. Those games would only be able to be played on the Wii U's with gamepads. But again, I don't even know if there are games out there that *depend* on the gamepad. However, I really like the gamepad. And honestly... it's kinda what makes the console. Without it, it's kinda just an update to the Wii. But then again, all the consoles of this generation are kinda updates of the last generation. I suppose we've just caught up with technology completely now and now there isn't much left to add on to a console. I bet we could last on these consoles for another 10 years and be completely fine. Well... maybe not the Wii U, unfortunately.
  16. that is ridiculous, I am extremely offended by that. wtf bleck ur no fun. cool.
  17. lol happy birthday, you freaking awesome remixer guy
  18. Yes, I heard stuff from the Nintendo Direct. Totally pumped. Would love to try and include something from each game on this remix album once we get it going.
  19. Yes, I did see the Nintendo Direct. I wonder if that's what they were referring to. But I just remember reading something about either the director or producer stating there would be Double Dash elements. So maybe that's it. As for the registering thing... Freaking really? Holy crap, that's amazing.
  20. Petey literally blocked the site of everything he was so large. I couldn't tell what was going on right in front of me cuz he was huge. lol Double Dash is my favorite Mario Kart game and I heard that they're bringing in some elements from Double Dash in this new game. If that's so, I'm really freaking excited.
